Location, amenities, beach, staff was great.

The room we stayed in needed to be refreshed as in needed painting, floors were chipped, towels were thin, bath mat was frayed and old. Cobweb in the bathroom.

The staff: The staff is truly amazing and accommodating. Our room was ready at 11am and we could check in earlier. We also checked out at 5, instead of 12pm at no extra costs. It was a low season, not so many people, so the reception could accommodate our request at no extra costs, which is really nice of them. The food: we booked the option with breakfast and dinner. And we are glad we did. The food was high quality, the variety was decent and they cater to vegans as well. Also, most of the restaurants outside of the hotel were either closed, far away, or too expensive for they quality they offer. So booking dinner or all inclusive during is a must!! Location: right at the beach, the beach was beautiful. Amenities: the swimming pool was clean and big, so everyone can enjoy it and not be bothered by others. There were several saunas and a small indoor swimming pool with a warm water. All were lovely and clean.

The balcony was full of the spider net, including the table and chairs, so you can’t sit on them. We didn’t get a complimentary bottle of water, toiletries or bathrobes. I believe it’s because we checked in earlier and they probably didn’t have time to place them in our room. If you are in same situation, just ask the reception and they fix everything in a matter of minutes.

Our stay was simply amazing! The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and offered beautiful views. The dining experience was top-notch, with a great variety of delicious meals. The location was perfect, and we enjoyed all the amenities, especially the beach. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a 5-star experience. Special thank you for the manager, Marta. She prepared for us small gifts. It was also very nice that the hotel agreed to include the lait checkout service for us for free.

Luigi restaurant is nice, but the time you are waiting for an order too long and poor veraity of desserts.

Pestana Resort is just wonderful and so well organized. The Staff is super friendly and helpful and everything is included in the price of the room. Food is very good and many meals are offered throughout the day: breakfast, brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner. The beach is wonderful with free lounges and umbrellas. Three fantastic pools, one of which is heated. The rooms are suites, with living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Very very satisfied and hope to be back some day.

You need to pay extra for sunbeds at the beach. it's really 5stars hotel?

The location was amazing, the food was really good for an all-inclusive, there was a small problem at check out with the payment and since we had the boat very late in the evening they allowed us late check-in for free.

The check-in was not the greatest experience because there were a lot of people and we had the room 40min after the check-in time that was promised. Since our check-in was done is two phases, first for payment and after to get the room (they allowed us to use the facilities but not the room), we did not have the whole explanation of how restaurants work and we could have used it better if we knew he had only one restaurant visit included. Also, while waiting for the room, the suitcases were under the sun. We felt like the place was mostly meant for families with kids.

Great location, lovely big rooms, lots of bars and restaurants.

Food at the buffet was over cooked. Not a lot of choice of meat and fish dishes. Madeira livers restaurant we felt very rushed, main arrived and we hadn’t finished our starter. I’m the pool bar, we were often asked to moved from our chairs so that the cleaning lady could sweep the floor. Best to wait until the tables were empty.

The location is idyllic; the design very well thought out. All the services are plentiful and generally well organised. We appreciated especially Marta Vasconcelos ' helpfulness.

The tennis court could be better maintained. We felt the map of facilities could be clearer with a little more explanation. For example, at first, we didn't realise that the meals in the themed restaurants are paid.
