This hotel is located in one of the nicest villages of Portugal. It is at a short walking distance from the village medieval walls and it has a nice charme. Parking area is close to the hotel and free. The room we were given has a stone wall and a cute window on the garden. Beds are big and comfortable. In the hotel garden area, there is a nice swimming pool with a lovely view on the castle and the fields. The staff is very friendly and helpful, ready to give you any recommendation or book a table at a restaurant last minute. We enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel in beautiful Monsaraz (the view on the lake from the medieval walls is breathtaking). We will stay here again!

Just a minor detail: the socket for the bed lamp did not work

This is a lovely small hotel that has a feel of a family run establishment. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a rustic charm where guests are greeted by the family cat. The views are incredible and there is plenty of room to sit in the garden to enjoy the vista.

Breakfast is served rather late (8.30) for early birds. There are also a few maintenance jobs that are required in the rooms. Perhaps we have got used to more luxurious hotels but a spot of paint, a set of screw drivers and changing some of the fittings would be worthwhile.

Such a special town and charming hotel to boot. Great views. A pool to swim in. Breakfast was included.

Many spiders in our appartment. Pool water was cloudy. Was difficult to find place to eat dinner - many of the places were booked up. Would be nice if the hotel gave a heads up before the stay with some restaurant recommendations so that we could have booked ahead of time.

The views from the property are lovely - phenomenal sunsets. The property itself is quaint and full of character. This isn’t a cookie cutter corporate hotel chain! Breakfast was simple but yummy. The hotel is easy walking distance to the walled old town, shops and restaurants, and a close drive to other area attractions, like Corval and Evora.

It would be nice if they also offered hair conditioner, but that isn’t common in Europe vs the US.

Beautiful, traditional old building, everything was full of character. The building is older so there are some quirks but that’s what made it charming. The view is exceptional , the place has an overriding feeling of tranquility, we were only there for two days but I’d come back as a retreat from the world! Loved it! I’ll be back

It was a great place to spend a few nights. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Chafferdine and Anna. We skipped the continental breakfast and went to the local cafeteria. Recommended highly.

Lovely comfortable bed. Great location. Spacious and airy bedroom and bathroom. Strawberry juice for breakfast 1 morning was delicious! And we found a terrace in the garden to eat breakfast on which was beautiful.

The shower switch, switching from bath tap to shower, kept switching back. The deck area directly outside the dining room was a bit untidy and tired-looking - although we found the terrace mentioned above in the garden which was great.

Beautiful place just few minutes away from the old cute Monsaraz. Charming garden and swimming pool. The staff lady at the reception was really friendly and helpful. I would totally recommend that place, such a gem!

Unfortunately, the wifi wasn’t stable in the room. Pillows were hard, one of them a bit dirty.

Breakfast was good, could have been improved with more warm scrambled egg or some boiled eggs left in their shells. Lovely shower. Lovely view from the balcony.

We had to run off a lot of cold water before the hot water arrived which did feel rather wasteful of water. Perhaps some pipe insulation could improve this.
