The location of the hotel is great. The outdoor pool and loungers are fantastic. Individually the staff are very helpful. The rooms are spacious with good views of the river.

Whilst the rooms are spacious and comfortable they are a little dated. For example the baths have been replaced by walk in showers but with a very cheap plastic tray that wobbles. The prices are very high for food of average quality. There is little competition around so why do this? Whilst are staff are individually helpful the required routines don't make for efficient service. There appears an overall lack if management attention.

The location is amazing, the infinity pool is great too.

I wouldn’t say this is 5 star hotel, the rooms are a bit dated and in need of some work. For instance the bathroom door was peeling and the carpet didn’t seem very clean. We also had an issue the first night we spent there as our dinner reservation was not recorded and they didn’t have “space” for us even though there were tables available. While I understand that it might have been related to staff capacity it was very discouraging that no attempt to accommodate us was made. Especially when travelling with an 18 month old with dietary restrictions and not having other options available nearby. We were sent to the bar and the options were not fit for a baby with severe allergies. The next night we had dinner there and the service was really good so it was very disappointing.

Amazing view, really special place indeed, really nice pools for both kids & adults, water is warm. We also liked fresh food (good options for kids as well). The staff friendly (even though not all are willing to speak english). The room was perfect with additional sofa for 2 kids. Also we liked parking place very much.

There was nothing that we did not like, but some places could be more cozier& stylish/modern for 5 star hotel (1. corridors , missing some pictures/ paintings on the walls or flowers (e.g. olive trees), 2.lobby - could be also more cozy as a first impression. 3. dinner - also could be more cozies , maybe more green:!) . Toilets in the rooms could be more private for the family :) And indoor spa also not cozy to be in compared to outside area :)

I loved the location, the quietness and the view.

I think the hotel should create a separate space for children as they are too noisy in the swimming and at breakfast/ dinner. This hotel seems to be a place to relax which does not align with having babies around creating chaos. I also think the hotel should consider painting the facilities on the outside to get a brighter and more modern look as per a 5* hotel. And lastly, the outdoor swimming pool should be heated in the winter so the Clients are able to use it.

The room was bigger than I expected, with a marvellous view, a coffee machine and mini bar. The hotel was really stunning, especially the rooftop bar and infinity pool. The food at the restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was great too. The staff was just as good as the rest, really kind, smiley and attentive, a real pleasure! Big shoutout to Diogo for his wine knowledge and kindness towards us the whole week :)

We were travelling in early October and there wasn't much to do in the hotel. The bar downstairs was always very quiet, too quiet! Our evenings were mostly spent in our room with music and takeaway food/room service because we found the atmosphere better with music and the great view from our balcony. That's the only negative point.

The bedroom was a nice size with a big bag, water coffee and tea as a treat. It had an nice sized balcony with this amazing view over rio douro which was lovely wakening up to. We had breakfast and dinner and the breakfast buffet had many different options and the staff was lovely. The dinner was good but not amazing and the hotel bar closed very early. The facilities of the spa and pool were very good, specially the outside pool over the river.

There was nothing bad. Just the dinner wasn't a 5star hotel dinner and the bar closed early leaving us with no common area to continue our conversations, play a game or have a drink.

Stunning views of the Douro River, Terrific room both in size and design with great balcony and river view.

Nothing really, if I was to be very picky the only place to get lunch and drinks during the day, is on the top floor by the spa and pool area where all drinks are served in plastic glasses. If the weather is not good very limited area to eat and drink, with MTV annoying you the whole time, the hotel is huge but you have no where to sit and eat and drink away from the spa, also the lift to the spa level was out of order for the whole of our stay so constantly having to use stairs.

Marta and Raquel welcomed us at check in. they were most hospitable and professional! Marta served us your famous port wine upon arrival. she gave us helpful with suggestions re sights to visit. we enjoyed the full view of the Duoro River from our balconies of our premium deluxe rooms. your restaurant staff were friendly, for example, Bruno Ribeiro, Justin Timberlake, lookalike, service's was attentive and responsive. we enjoyed our meals. breakfast was delicious as well. the rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. bathroom was modern and spotless. towels were soft and white. free indoor parking was secured with easy access. the location is private and serene. highly recommend.

wished we could have stayed longer. will return in our next vacation to Portugal. everything you offered exceeded our expectations. keep up with the excellent work. great team.

The location of the property was amazing! We enjoyed the spa and relaxing by the pool.

The only thing that I would change is that they should provide an ironing board and iron in the units. That’s pretty standard in hotels. Also, it’s a bit of a maze to try to determine where to go to check in. For the first time there, it’s quite confusing to figure out where to access which elevator. Lighting could be better in the rooms. Otherwise a beautiful property.

The restaurant! Restaurant is expensive and the menu options are limited and not flexible. Unfortunately we were forced to eat there more times than we wish because outside and near the hotel there is nothing. No restaurants, cafes or even supermarkets.
