This property was above all expectations. The staff is kind and friendly, it’s small ( I think 6-8 rooms) so not overcrowded. They prepare meals on site. It was absolutely charming and the « slow life » needed for this holiday! Highly recommend! 5 *****

Quinta do Bosque is a true gem in the Douro Valley. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, everything exceeded our expectations. The warm welcome set the tone right away — the owner and the entire team were not only incredibly attentive but also genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome. The property itself is peaceful and beautifully maintained, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Even the sweet resident dog, Becas, added to the charm. We were surprised with a room upgrade, and the room was fantastic: spacious, beautifully designed and thoughtfully equipped. The food deserves a special mention — every meal we had was outstanding, fresh and full of flavor. The dining experience felt both personal and refined without being pretentious. It’s clear that a lot of care and passion go into the kitchen here. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend Quinta do Bosque to anyone visiting the Douro Valley.

The only thing to be aware of is that reaching the property requires a bit of careful driving, as the final stretch of the road is narrow and winding. However, it is absolutely manageable with a bit of attention and more than worth the effort once you arrive.

Quinta do Bosque is a wonderful little paradise, tucked away somewhere almost secretly hidden in the Douro Valley. The hosts Cristiano and his team have really taken hospitality to a next level. The location is exceptional, the views stunning, the pool gorgeous, the rooms immaculate with great beds and shower. The small beautiful details are all around you, from the breakfast and dinner with fresh ingredients of their own garden to the smart interior with classics everywhere, simply a lust for eye, body and soul. We would love to return one day, thank you:)

Everything was truly exceptional

Arriving to this magic place, you feel immediately comfortable. Maria and her team are very attentive and friendly. They take attention to every detail, it is such a pleasure to enjoy it at any moment of the day. The Quinta is placed in the vineyards and offers you a breathtaking view into the Douro. The ambience at the pool area is just relaxing, with homemade snacks and limonade and not to forget a good glass of Porto. The breakfast and dinner are from very good quality and with a lot of variety. Our superior room with a private terrace has a pool and valley view, just amazing! There’s no better stay in the Douro and we will appreciate to come back! This is also one of the best B&B we had in all our travel life! Thank you for everything. Tania&Rudi

ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! I cannot begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Quinta do Bosque. The staff, the food, the room, the views... As soon as we arrived we were already sad we would be leaving 2 days later. The staff was so nice and kind, they were always available without being in your space. Also, I would recommend taking their offer of eating at the Quinta, as the food was always delicious, and for a 4 service meal (appetizers, soup, main + dessert), it was absolutely worth it. Special thanks to Maria for being so kind and always smiling! Oh, and Becas was so sweet and gentle, his presence added a little plus to our stay :)

We stayed five nights in a Junior Suite in one of the very best places we’ve ever stayed. Everything was outstanding and the attention to detail was amazing. The property was spotlessly clean everywhere and all the staff provided a faultless professional and personal service. Nothing was too much trouble. The views of the Douro valley were fabulous even though the river wasn’t quite visible. The property is approached up steep narrow lanes and overlooks Mesao Frio which is a quaint and authentic village. Being centrally located in the Douro Valley makes it a very convenient place from which to visit the surrounding sights.

We could not recommend Quinta de Bosque enough. Our accommodations were amazing and we could not imagine staying anywhere else in Douro. The rooms were spacious and clean, with little touches that made our stay feel very personal. The staff could not have been more attentive and kind, asking about our preferences for each part of our stay. We needed a taxi for dinner both of our nights and they arranged everything. Breakfast was delicious and all of the options were incredible. And the pool and lounge area is divine. Overall, if you are traveling to Douro Valley, there is simply nowhere better to stay!

Quinta do Bosque is an incredible “experience “ in hospitality and attention to detail. Every little thing is above and beyond from linens, table settings, delicious food with impeccable presentation, incredible grounds and views-the staff Cristiano, Maria, Maria Joa(sp?) were attentive, accommodating and really just lovely people. Becas is the gentleman dog on the premises and always available for snuggling. We highly recommend staying here if you get the opportunity!

11/10!! I cannot not rate this place high enough and I can't wait to come back. I literally travel all over the world and Quinta Do Bosque is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Cristiano's meticulous attention to detail shines here. Fresh flowers and plants in all the rooms. The gardens are beautifully maintained. Everything is clean and fresh. But the absolute best part of our 3 night stay was the food! Breakfast and dinner were both outstanding! Do not eat anywhere else. I wanted to eat in town one night, but my wife convinced me to eat at Quinta Do Bosque and it was the right choice. The taste, presentation, and dishes it was served on was top notch! The pool was too cold for us at this time of year, but it was pristine and clean. Great view over the valley and a nice fire pit on the deck to enjoy at night. The perfect place for a quite romantic get-away for a couple.
