This property was above all expectations. The staff is kind and friendly, it’s small ( I think 6-8 rooms) so not overcrowded. They prepare meals on site. It was absolutely charming and the « slow life » needed for this holiday! Highly recommend! 5 *****

It is a little tricky to get to the location. But the property sends you the google map directions, the WAZE directions and the GPS location.

This property is exceptional in every way. The owner, Christiano, maintains an immaculate home. The setting is stunning with views of mountains, trees and vineyards. Being in the yard with the view and comfortable lounging chairs, beds, pool was so relaxing. The house is modern, elegant and comfortable. Our bedroom was serene and the bed very comfortable. Every attention to detail has been given from the hand embroidered linens to the beautiful place settings, silver, glassware & fresh flowers. The breakfast buffet was delicious with fresh fruits and vegetables from their garden. Dinner was available on request and the chef, Maria, was excellent. Christiano was hospitable and attentive making sure everything was immaculate and we enjoyed our stay. You will love your time at this property and we hope to return.

A truly exceptional place which is an oasis of calm. The staff are in a class of their own for helpfulness, friendliness and professionalism. The food is also of a very high standard. I don't know of anywhere that has quite captured such as sense of peace and ease in the way everything is done. The setting and views are also stunning.

Ideally the pool would be heated so that it could be enjoyed outside of the main Summer season. Two out of three of the approach roads have very narrow sections, barely wider than the car. The third is OK but is a very long way round to get to the village. Nothing the owners can do about any of that!

This is such a lovely hotel. We stayed for two nights in early July and wished we’d stayed longer. The luxurious feel, the calming effect it had on us and the attention to detail is very impressive. The staff are obviously extremely well trained and very friendly and attentive, and it has the feel of a much more expensive hotel. We can highly recommend the three course evening meals which were really delicious and of a high standard and the fresh produce came from their own cottage garden on site. The views over the valley from the pool and garden are beautiful, to top it off.

Quinta do Bosque is a true gem in the Douro Valley. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, everything exceeded our expectations. The warm welcome set the tone right away — the owner and the entire team were not only incredibly attentive but also genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome. The property itself is peaceful and beautifully maintained, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Even the sweet resident dog, Becas, added to the charm. We were surprised with a room upgrade, and the room was fantastic: spacious, beautifully designed and thoughtfully equipped. The food deserves a special mention — every meal we had was outstanding, fresh and full of flavor. The dining experience felt both personal and refined without being pretentious. It’s clear that a lot of care and passion go into the kitchen here. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend Quinta do Bosque to anyone visiting the Douro Valley.

The only thing to be aware of is that reaching the property requires a bit of careful driving, as the final stretch of the road is narrow and winding. However, it is absolutely manageable with a bit of attention and more than worth the effort once you arrive.

The Quinta was in a beautiful location with gorgeous views of the Douro. The breakfast included had a substantial buffet and to order menu choices. Dinner is not to be missed! Maria is a talented young chef who collaborates with Christiano, the owner and host, to offer delicious and elegant menus. Christiano is impeccably detail-oriented. Nothing is left to chance. The accommodations were spectacular and impeccably clean with unobtrusive service. Gracious hospitality awaits each and every guest!

Absolutely no issues! The remote access was challenging at times. Guests should be advised to plan their meals at the Quinta. Driving in the dark on the narrow winding roads would be extremely taxing- it is during bright sunlight!

If you happen to stay there-you would be in for a treat! Our stay was nothing short of amazing! Facilities are spotless, bed is fantastically comfortable, attention to detail At this Quinta shows everywhere. They serve dinner to guests only (reservation required) and by far it was the best birthday dinner I’ve ever had. They even baked me a cake (thank you Maria) The whole atmosphere of the place just made feel so relaxed and happy. I absolutely loved it! There are many things I can say about it- but it would be best to experience them on your own!

Quinta do Bosque is a wonderful little paradise, tucked away somewhere almost secretly hidden in the Douro Valley. The hosts Cristiano and his team have really taken hospitality to a next level. The location is exceptional, the views stunning, the pool gorgeous, the rooms immaculate with great beds and shower. The small beautiful details are all around you, from the breakfast and dinner with fresh ingredients of their own garden to the smart interior with classics everywhere, simply a lust for eye, body and soul. We would love to return one day, thank you:)

Everything was truly exceptional

Arriving to this magic place, you feel immediately comfortable. Maria and her team are very attentive and friendly. They take attention to every detail, it is such a pleasure to enjoy it at any moment of the day. The Quinta is placed in the vineyards and offers you a breathtaking view into the Douro. The ambience at the pool area is just relaxing, with homemade snacks and limonade and not to forget a good glass of Porto. The breakfast and dinner are from very good quality and with a lot of variety. Our superior room with a private terrace has a pool and valley view, just amazing! There’s no better stay in the Douro and we will appreciate to come back! This is also one of the best B&B we had in all our travel life! Thank you for everything. Tania&Rudi

ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! I cannot begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Quinta do Bosque. The staff, the food, the room, the views... As soon as we arrived we were already sad we would be leaving 2 days later. The staff was so nice and kind, they were always available without being in your space. Also, I would recommend taking their offer of eating at the Quinta, as the food was always delicious, and for a 4 service meal (appetizers, soup, main + dessert), it was absolutely worth it. Special thanks to Maria for being so kind and always smiling! Oh, and Becas was so sweet and gentle, his presence added a little plus to our stay :)
