The service has been consistent over the years, the team really does love their work and their job, you can tell from the passion and warmth they serve. Louis - one of the OG sommeliers/manager and his colleague were fantastic - trying to recreate the best steak I've had at their property over 3 years ago. We say that time changes everyone, but I'm so glad to see that Six Senses remains exceptionally well run ~ please don't ever change that part! Also had a really enjoyable and dare I say life altering Osteopath Massage session - learnt a lot from my body and Lorenzo really did make my spine feel looser. Thank you!

Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the grounds - July is indeed a bit hot to venture out.

I recently stayed at Sin Sexes Hotel in Douro, and it was an unforgettable experience. The breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape were absolutely stunning, making every moment feel like a dream. The bed was extremely comfortable, providing a perfect night's sleep, and the spa facilities were top-notch, offering a truly relaxing retreat.The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. Additionally, the proximity to local wineries was a fantastic bonus. The wines we tasted were exceptional, adding to the overall charm of our stay.The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests and ensure we had a pleasant stay.I highly recommend Sin Sexes Hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and serene getaway in Douro. It truly exceeded all our expectations.

Probably the most impressive hotel we've stayed in when considered as a package (building, gardens, views, staff, facilities, food, activities, etc). It doesn't come cheap, but in our opinion absolutely worth it as a special treat. The activity programme was excellent (cooking classes, wine tours, spa treatments), the staff has been trained to the highest standard (many in nearby Lamego) and the vineyard/river setting was extremely relaxing. Very special

One (very minor) gripe was being told c.6pm one evening that the pool bar had closed, when several people incl. ourselves were still relaxing there before dinner. In any other hotel I'd say "whatever", but the standards at this one are so high that I'm providing the feedback because otherwise it was faultless

The hotel and grounds were beautiful. Hand down one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The staff in the bar area was great and our dinner was amazing.

The breakfast was not traditional. Would have liked a couple of more traditional options but they did accomodate. We asked them to make us potatoes to go with our eggs and they did. We were happy with that.

the breakfast was exceptional. we appreciated all of the healthy and delicious options. the rooms and common spaces were lovely. property grounds exquisite. staff were extremely attentive and helpful. We very much enjoyed the managers cocktails and speaking w/ the gentleman when choosing our wines by the glass in the tasting room.

the gym was nice but too small. additional elevators would be helpful.

Exceptional breakfast, wine cellar and spa facilities. Would have been great to have more communal quiet spaces, perhaps a library or smoking room to play board games etc.

The steps in the bedroom are badly designed and we constantly tripped up them. I stubbed my foot so badly during the night I had to call for medical assistance.

Amazing breakfast, with freshly made juices, house-made yogurts, kombucha and jams. Selection of pastries, muffins, donuts and sourdough breads. Cornucopia of fruits, nuts, granolas. Healthy options to perfectly executed crispy bacons, they have it all. Their focus on producing herbs/vegetables in the edible garden and efforts to minimize waste/plastic usage are highly commendable, as well as beautiful. Minibar, snacks and even port wine was offered for free in the room. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Communication with front office via tablet in the room wasn't always prompt or smooth (usually about 10 minutes until reply came, so I preferred to go to the front desk in person). Unless you have your own car, it's not easy to get around - which enhances exclusivity of the property, but not that many dining options nearby the hotel.

Great location hotel pool and staff

A lot of nickle and dime with several email before we arrived to make sure we booked BBQ wine tasting and DJ for 145€ per person. Should go down the route of ClubMed and include all the activities for free or at a reduced cost and 50€ per person for breakfast excessive to say the least

Excellent breakfast, polite good looking staff, many variants of activities. We liked tile painting and macramé.
