Excellent facilities. Room was very comfortable and cozy. Good kitchen. Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. The location is excellent, near the museum.

The address and phone number listed on Booking.com were not correct. We did not receive check in information until we had provided arrival time. Made it very confusing to find and enter the facility. Another couple had the exact same experience. Also, there is NO on-site parking. Street parking or free parking in the main city lot about 3 blocks away. Fortunately, we'd been to Regua before and knew where the parking lot was.

There was no pre-advice on amenities and we had to ask for typed rather than hand written information using Continental numbers. It was set up for an away weekend and lacked practical amenities. Despite saying there was no operating light, we had 3 nights without adequate light. It even ran out of hot water on a cold day. Agent did not provide useful information for people who had traveled from the antipodes of Portugal, and lacked international experience. Stay off the back streets as they are NOT designed for cars. A bus timetable would have been useful.

This was the perfect little spot to spend a few days. Easy walking distance to everything and easy street parking. The room was comfortable, AC worked great, and it was very clean. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The bed and pillows were hard. Some people like that, I don't. Certainly not a deal breaker. I would still recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely fabulous place Clean tidy my room is perfect the bathroom kitchen and living area are. I have a great view of the river too. Just excellent.

This place is on the main road across from the boats. A temporary fair (with rides, etc.) was an enjoyable experience at night. The location allowed me to take side trips - Pinhao (train) and Lamego (bus). At the end of my stay, I was able to take one of the few buses from Regua to Lisbon. The staff was polite and met me on time for the key exchange.

My room was basic with the only window being a hatch style from the roof.

The property was clean and spacious,a c work fine.

The toilet need update, the shower leek to the floor,and was not a sit to sit down or to put the clothes,even was space  enough.the light on my side table dint work.

The location is perfect near the train station, the room is spacious, comfortable, cool thanks to the A/C and the private bathroom was clean. Carlos is really sweet and owns a small family Quinta (Quinta do Posada) so don't hesitate to book with him or ask him about it before your stay. It's really worth the price. There's no reception so you have to plan your arrival to have access to the room.

Great view ! Wonderful stay at Casa do Rio, nice anf simple rooms, central location, easy check-in and the owner was very accommodating.
