Oh, we *loved* this place! The location was perfect as we could walk to the downtown area. We also had a safe (enclosed) place to park our car. The apartment itself was spacious, modern, and immaculate. We happened to be the only people staying there (shoulder season) and we very much enjoyed being able to use the very well-stocked kitchen and the huge rooftop patio. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. Although coffee and juice was available in the apartment, breakfast was a short walk away at a very welcoming pastry restaurant, which turned out to be a fun walk in the morning. Finally, the host was very easy to reach and so helpful and accommodating! We couldn't get the a/c to operate correctly (which turned out to be operator error!) and the host fixed it immediately and without any complaint about our cluelessness! We would definitely return if we were in the area again!

Everything was amazingly clean, and all the facilities are great! It's a finely decorated house with plenty of space for you to relax. A (more than) complete kitchen, with some nice things available for free consumption. It's a really great place and the hosts are super friendly. Really recommended.

I have two small complaints: 1) parking the car can be quite dangerous, as the entrance is very close to a crossing- and Portuguese drivers don't seem to care about reducing the speed. 2) The breakfast is 'ok', but very limited, compared to other hotels and B&B we visited in Portugal.

We like the homey atmosphere of this guest house as it was intimate and comfortable. We like the kitchen and lounge facilties and their attention to detail. It was a smart guest house with lots of thought put into it. We would recommend having a car here. Once you learn how to park it's ok.

We did not like the location so much as in an industrial area and the walk into town was 30 minutes and coming back at night is a bit dark. We did not like the parking situation as it's right on a round about so you have to be extra careful when opening garage and parking, etc. It's a two person job.

Well equipped kitchen and spacious apartment. Everything you need. Coffee masjien and accesouries a bonus. Joana was very helpfull every time when we contact her. She give us superb advise how to do our own tours, as most of the organize tours was fully booked.

The breakfast was a riller. We asked for a cappuccino and the lady use a ready made cappuccino in a sachet, although there was a smart coffee machine available. The croissant we ordered was very dry and inedible.You can't call this a breakfast. I give the guesthouse a 10, because Joana service was incredible and the facilities outstanding, but she must really think to use another breakfast provider or rather not including a breakfast.

A well equipped and clean appartman(house), good base for visiting the valley of Douro, Our hosts (Joana and Marco) made a great job, the way they communicating (friendly, polite and quickly) with us impressed me. The winery (what they recommended to visit), the evening we spent there turned out one of the brightest moment of our one week tour in Portugal. Thanks Joana, thanks Marco!

Great room and bathroom with high quality materials and fantastic kitchen and sitting room. Nice to have a garage for safe parking as well. Nice little details such as a sample of port wine and bottles of water and juice in the fridge.

The road is a bit noisy, had to sleep with windows closed, nevertheless it is still a perfect place to be.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The room and common areas were very clean and well-maintained. The owners are incredibly caring and always go above and beyond to assist with anything you need, making you feel truly welcomed. The room itself was very comfortable. Additionally, the convenience of having on-site parking made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable stay. This guest house would be ideal for a group, with four rooms each ensuite, and a shared common space including a large kitchen. The hosts arranged a wine tour for us at a local winery. The accommodation was impeccably clean. The parking onsite in an enclosed garage was convenient.

Breakfast was provided by voucher to a nearby cafe. Simple continental breakfast but good. Great spot to use as a home base for Douro Valley exploration. Large communal deck, living room and kitchen and well stocked with needed appliances etc.

The walk to the cafe is confusing as the road recommended looks like a dead end. The stairs that look like the entry to something are actually a mini “tunnel”. Keep going.

Clean and tidy place with adjacent parking. Excellent attitude of the owner including instructions to get to the place and a bottle of wine as a gift

The breakfast in the confectionary is a bit far. Toast and coffee and for the child a cake he requested and a chocolate drink. minimal.
