This wonderful property is on the rise. The staff do their best to please the customer at every interaction and that really felt five star. We arrived early and checked our bags with the porter so we could take a wine tour and tasting on the property. Then we had reserved an hour in the water circuit part of the spa during the “kids hour” so our young ones could enjoy that. We had dinner in the restaurant which was also a top notch experience. The rooms are new and modern, and the view from our balcony was fantastic. This was really a special experience and one that we highly recommend.

I’d suggest the peacocks should be moved away from the hotel at night as they interrupt guests sleep. despite having completed the on line check in, the check in process was far too long taking 30mins after a long hit motorcycle ride ! the reception staff were quite ‘snooty and superior’ and need to be a little more ‘human and considerate’

Superb country location but close to Regua town for restaurants and river access. The whole set up,is classy, and the on site wine tasting was excellent We loved the complimentary port and wine in the room, nice touch. Bike hire was an unexpected treat, they worked well.

Very few things to dislike but here are a few minor irritations: Extra drinking water should just be provided, without request. Gowns for spa are far too small for average people.

Property is beautiful and close to city so it was fairly easy to get a taxi and get off property to go to dinner. The peacocks were beautiful and the service was great.

We stayed in wine barrel room. For me, it was just too small and really hard to maneuver around each other. I kinda felt like I was “glamoing”. For a younger couple or honeymooners it’s probably a fun option. Or maybe e if you’re only going to stay a night.

The staff could not do enough for you, they were friendly and inviting & made the stay extra special. We stayed in the barrels and they exceeded our expectations, along with the picnic and wine tour/ tasting. I would highly recommended this phenomenal hotel and everything it has to offer.

There really is nothing you could fault about this hotel, however something to note is that the spa & its facilities come at an additional charge, even for hotel guests.

Staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Location is great, very peaceful. Rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Bed was big and comfortable. Rooms were equipped with working air conditioner. Breakfast buffet was good and restaurant food was tasty and well cooked.

The fact that you need to pay a small fee to access the indoor pool, sauna, and steam bath. It should be open to guests upon booking for no additional cost.

Absolutely gorgeous property, so beautiful to look at it with so many areas of shade where we could sit. The restaurant was exquisite. We chose the wine barrels with a private pool, while the kids got a regular room. While there is more space in the regular room, the wine barrel is super fun and private to share some wine and take a dip in the pool at night.

Exceptional service from arrival to departure. We had 3 fantastic days at the hotel, all the staff are really professional and the facilities are amazing - huge grounds to explore plus a great pool, spa and good gym with machines and some free weights. Food is generous in portions and wines range from straightforward to seriously classy (but still good value). It was everything we’d expect from a luxury hotel and more. Definitely coming back some day soon.

Our family lived on the new wings with interconnecting rooms, overlooking the vineyard. Since we went at winter the low season, travellers aren’t many, so the place was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is great! Range of food selection is appropriate given the hotel size (about 40 rooms) and the quality is 5 star grade. The only place I can find a true type of croissant I used to eat but not those sticky one in the pastry shops. We had lunch at their pub serving light meals. Price is affordable at about 18 Euro per dish for pasta and meat sandwich respectively. Given the tranquility, the scenic maple tree under the winter sun, and the quality of food, I personally feel worth it. Dinner we ordered room service at about 30 Euro per dish as we wanted to rest at the cozy and comfortable rooms. Rooms are 5 star grade in terms of comfort level, though size isn’t big. Laying in the bed looking out to the green vineyard and hills, plus their complementary sweet Pacheca port wine is another unique and memorable experience. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Even there aren’t many guests, the hotel still put effort to decorate it for Christmas everywhere indoor and outdoor tastefully. Really appreciate!

None. Really feel a hotel running with a heart.

The food at the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast was very good. The complimentary introduction to the property and tasting were a nice touch. And we enjoyed the time we spent at the Spa.

The room was comfortable but the insulation was horrific, the noise from our upstairs neighbours was extreme. We felt the accommodation was overpriced for what it is.
