The hotel was lovely, decoration was beautiful, views amazing and room spotless, amazing location for a swimming pool

Sometimes the car parking isnt great. Occasionally the swimming pool was not available till late morning due to cleaning device, maybe it would be better to do it later in the evening when no guests are using it. More information regarding rules and service charge would be helpful on arrival with guests.

The location and view out of our bedroom window was absolutely incredible. The house is beautiful and the room was perfect. Restaurant was lovely although the prices were not cheap for what you get. Swimming pool was lovely. Breakfast was great

You can't really pick fault with this place as it really was lovely. The only thing was the price of the food for what you got was expensive. Chucks of pork and sliced bread, frozen pizza and sangria was about 50 euros.

We explored the Douro valley travelling between places by taxi, and where previously we selected quintas based on dinner service, this was a relatively new, clean place to stay for a night near a town enabling us to have a choice of restaurants. Host was attentive and gave us a recommendation for dinner which turned out to be our favourite meal of the whole trip - Casa da Rua in Lamego, fabulous! The pool was bigger than it looks on the photos and had a fabulous view towards Regua.

Breakfast was minimal, perhaps no cooks, cold options only included processed meat and cheese squares, which didn't reflect the cost of the stay vs others.

Absolute gem of the Douro Valley! My husband and I picked the Golden Mirror for the Douro portion of our honeymoon and we were so glad that we did! The rooms are spacious, clean and new and the view from our room was absolutely breath taking! The hosts of the hotel are so SO nice and helped us with parking every time we came back. The hotel is conveniently located about 5 minute drive from Regua and about 10 minute drive to Lamego - both had good options for dining. We did two wine tastings just down the road at Quinta da Pacheco and Quinta de Tourais - both were incredible and just a couple minutes from the hotel. Overall, this hotel is a 10/10! We hope to be back some day.

Everything was wonderful!

Exceptional service, breathtaking view, and charming decor! We were absolutely charmed by our stay. Despite arriving quite late due to delayed flights, we were welcomed with genuine kindness and a delicious platter of fresh bread and cheeses. The wine was perfectly matched — palatable and a wonderful complement to the cheese. Truly a memorable welcome and a beautiful experience overall.

Amazing hotel, super nice hosts, best view to the Douro valley you could ask for. The room is spacious and very very clean, everything in this place maintained perfectly with attention to details. The bed is very comfortable.

1. It was too short, we spent there only one night, I wish we could stay longer:) 2. The cat (Goldy) was not very friendly, but maybe that’s because I am more of a dogs person.

Beautiful location with outstanding views over the Douro valley near Peso da Régua. We had great weather and could sit outside and enjoy food and excellent wine by the pool during sunsets. Room was large and very comfortable. But the best was how nice, helpful and service-minded our hosts were. If we're staying in the region again, we will come back to this place.

a beautiful room with a beautiful view of the Douro valley. the staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. close proximity to Lamego and the scenic N222 drive. breakfast was delicious with plenty of it.

this property had nothing we didn't like. only wish we could have stayed here when the weather was warmer so we could have enjoyed the pool.

This place was a gem find and fantastic value. It's in a great location above the city and the Douro River, with spectacular view's and a very tranquil environment. The host and staff are very helpful and pleasant. The property is kept immaculate, and someone here has an eye for detail. Everything is working and perfect, down to the scented monogrammed linen, comfortable bed, and amazing included breakfast 🤗

I wish we stayed here longer.

Spectacular view over the Douro river valley from beautifully designed rooms and from the pool and leisure area.

Though no fault of the owners, you MUST use a car to travel to/from dinner, as it is too dangerous to walk on the roadway (Uber/taxi also available!) Also breakfast is excellent however I believe all the guests thought eggs would emerge from the kitchen as well…perhaps a non-sugary cereal like oats would be a good, easy option for the healthier eaters?
