Very welcoming. Nicely appointed, great facilities. I'd definitely come back, if in the area and would recommend it Breakfast was varied and very good (although the drinks and hot food could have been hotter...) The indoor pool was quite nice although not open quite on time in the morning. I liked the 12h check out time. Plenty of wardrobe space in rooms, with 5 hangers per person!

Unfortunately I didn't sleep well! Partly due to finding the air-conditioning quite loud (it was a warm night), and I think the decaf coffee I asked for in the bar that evening might not have been decaf... But the bed was comfy. The bathroom could do with a shelf or other space to put personal toiletries on. We only stayed one night but it would have been a nuisance for longer.

My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and booked this place last minute. The hotel was not only able to accommodate us, but also made our stay extra special with their graciousness. The staff was so friendly and helpful and kind. The breakfast is delicious and feels a little extra special. There is a restaurant there and while we didn’t get to eat dinner as we’d already booked elsewhere, we tried their chocolate and salted caramel cake. It was insanely good. I mean, one of the best I’ve had, and I’m the type of person to try something for fun and set it aside if it’s mediocre. But this cake, we’ve been thinking about it ever since. If a single item from their dessert menu is that good, you MUST try dinner. The restaurant is open to the public, I believe, even though it is not listed on google restaurants. Thank you all for such a special stay!

This hotel is an absolute gem! The location is stellar — just minutes from all the must-see historical sites in Lamego, making it the perfect base to explore this beautiful region. What truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. Everyone was warm and welcoming, but a special shoutout to Sandra at the outdoor pool bar — she’s amazing! Friendly, attentive, and always made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is lovely, with comfortable rooms, a great breakfast, and a relaxing atmosphere. If you’re staying in Lamego, this hotel is a must. Can’t recommend it enough!

The staff were all super nice and gave us good information about the area. We had a room with balcony. It was good to sit out on the balcony in the sun. The swimming pool area is also nice and we enjoyed a day by the pool. Breakfast was good. And we also had dinner at the hotel and it was good, mixed grill and portions were big. The location is very good. Nice touch to use the castle walls in the interior of the hotel.

Lack of private parking space. We used the meter and managed to get a parking space close but having to go and put coins in every 4-5 hours is no fun. Cost is not the issue since it was only 0,60 Euros/hour. There were 2 free parking areas close but they were always super busy. Usually there is also one other free parking area just around the corner but there was a town festival so the town was using that area.

We loved the location right next to the Castle, and close to the centre of the Old Town. Our room was great - fresh coffee, comfortable beds, and a fabulous view from our balcony towards the monastery we had come to see. The breakfast was exceptional - so much choice, we felt we had eaten 3 breakfasts by the time we left the dining room! Although we didn't use the outdoor pool or spa facilities, we did check them out, and will definitely use them on our return (hopefully longer next time!) Nuno on reception was extremely helpful, sorting buses/taxis/train times for us, and suggesting things to see, which we really appreciated given the limited time we had in Lamego.

Great location, once you find it. Hint - do not go up the cobblestone road - it's really hard to come back down as the roads around get REALLY small. There is a sign for the hotel and an arrow which makes you think you should head up the hill - don't just look left and it is at the very start of the hill / cobblestone road. Lovely place, enjoyed our two days there. Had dinner at the hotel one night and out the next. In the area, make reservations for any tastings you want to do, if not you could be stuck. We ended up at a small place called Quinta Portela - museum and tasting available.

Located in the centre of the town. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Dinner was very good, but as a party of 10, some of us were finished our food before the last was served. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and a 25th wedding anniversary and the hotel gifted us a fabulous cake and some fizz.

The hotel has no parking facilities. There is paid street parking. Parking can be difficult to find in the afternoon and at weekends. We had to top up the meter each morning and at lunchtime.

A friendly welcome, and a nice clean, comfortable hotel close to the historic centre. A good restaurant for dinner, and possibly the best breakfast during our 2 weeks in Portugal. The welcome drink was a nice touch.

Arriving by car was a little tricky, since the hotel entrance is a short distance up a narrow street, and there is no on-site parking. However, it was possible to unload cases, and on-street parking nearby was straightforward, so no real problem. We would be very happy to stay at this hotel again.

Lovely hotel that's nicely situated at the bottom of the town's castle. Friendly and efficient staff. Balcony gives a nice view of the town and the church at the top of the hill (and the approx. 600 steps it takes to get up there). Restaurant serves solid fare at reasonable prices. We would have been happy to stay a bit longer.

The TV screen in the bar detracts from what otherwise would be a nice and quiet place to have a drink.

Fantastic location, walking distance to cafes, churches, shops. The pool/bar/dining room space is relaxing and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is the best place to stay if you want to be in the heart of Lamego.

The price for our room was a touch high maybe for it's size. But we upgraded ourselves to a suite, and it was much more spacious and comfortable and worth the additional money.
