We had a wonderful stay at this property. The charming stone walls and the serene, picturesque landscape made it a truly relaxing retreat. The kitchen was spacious and beautifully designed, with heritage elements that added so much character to the space. What stood out most was the exceptional service. The team was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond in helping us arrange transfers from Porto and to Coimbra, as well as local transport around the area. Their support made our trip smooth and stress-free. My family also thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting experience offered during our stay. Highly recommended—we would gladly return!

Need car or taxi to move around. Vineyard itself is very nice to walk around and the owners gave us a tour! Wonderful views from the terrace. Pool onsite was very nice. Wine tasting that you can book on the property was outstanding with many different excellent wines and different snacks for each - wonderful!

No toiletries like shower gel or shampoo provided. The people on the property were nice enough to give us some though! But they are not the property managers and will probably not be able to help out every time. So bring your own. None of the doors locked well. Same ants in one of the bedrooms.

Everything! This place was sparkling clean, with everything you could need for a pleasant stay. My son spent hours playing with the dogs, we did long walks. I was able to prepare breakfast for my family both mornings we stayed. Having porto wine at the balcony (courtesy of the hosts) was incredible. Sunsets at the property, the included museum guide and wine tasting plus the shop. I have nothing to complain the character, the charm of the property were incredible. If you want to have dinner it’s a short drive to town.

Everything. It was such a stunning property, our little house was so picturesque with the veranda overlooking the vines, so spacious as well & all the facilities you could need. The main house & where they do the wine tastings & the pool was so lovely. The staff were friendly & very helpful. The wine tasting was incredible, so generous & delicious wines! Can’t recommend this property highly enough. We definitely will be coming back here when we can!

We loved the character of this property, really traditional. The staff were lovely as was the breakfast. The attention to detail and presentation of breakfast was incredible and the staff were clearly proud of their service and the vineyard. There was an incredible selection of wine available and there was a museum showing the history of the vineyard. A truly charming property.

One of the reasons, although not the main reason we chose this property was because of the pool. Sadly the condition of the water was poor and not useable.

We were happily surprised by the location and accommodation at Quinta da Portela.. my husband and I stayed in the smaller section which was 2 bedrooms with a lounge area balcony and large kitchen which still had the original stove .. our accommodation was renovated and very comfortable with a view over the vineyard .. we were made to feel very welcome to wander the property and it was full of fruit trees walnuts almonds and olive trees hidden amongst the vines .. the staff were exceptional and very accommodating and breakfast the following morning was a feast of produce made on the farm plus a personal smorgasbord.. we were both amazed by the presentation and quality .. we would definitely stay here again and recommend others to .. a thank you to all the staff

Sofia welcomed us as we drove onto the property. All the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The house we stayed in was perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen with open hearth was very unique and added fun to our night. The balcony had a beautiful view. The property has a wine museum and tastings available. Lamego was a short drive away with dining. Breakfast was nicely laid out and was very substantial with lots of options and local fair. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We rented a small house. I was delighted with the place and felt like I had moved into the Bridgerton TV series! Beautiful kitchen, spacious interiors, friendly and welcoming staff. We were given a welcome snack and the opportunity to sample the wines. Plus we were surprised to be able to visit a small museum on site. Thank you for showing us around!

Breakfast is the only thing I would improve. All the food served is local and that is appreciated, but we missed scrambled eggs/other sources of protein and some fresh veggies.

Spotless sheets & towels with embroidered logo on comfortable beds fit for royals. House is huge complete with quality vintage furnishings topped with awesome view of the estate vineyard & Lamego region. Kitchen is big with full range of good equipment and ample wares enough to hold a gathering. None of the furnishing feels staged for tourists. The breakfast was prepared, laid & timed meticulously for the best freshness. 16 hectares of vineyard are neatly trimmed like a Royal French garden. Icing on the cake were the friendly owners and Beatriz who made our stay memorable. Beatriz has in-depth knowledge and insights about the estate history, wine making and was very approachable. All requests are attended swiftly even during her off-days. Thank you Beatriz, Cristina & his hubby for making our Lamego the highlight of our Portugal tour.

This was a good place to stay. It had a lovely view and you could walk on the estate. There was a small museum about the history of wine/port making at the Quinta. Staff were lovely. We were served a beautiful breakfast laid out just for the two of us. It was near enough to Lamego to drive in for dinner..

There was nothing that I didn’t like but to stay here you need a car and it was a bit hard to find.
