Perfect location when participating the Douro granfondo cycling event. It’s luxury not to worry about the car and be able to go by bike to the start line. We were also allowed to take the bikes into the room which is amazing. A great bonus was that we could shower in a shared room after the event. Good breakfast too! Definitely great. We’ll come back.

The only minus, if anything, is that the corridors are narrow and only one elevator that was very busy in the morning. A pity swimming pool was not open because weather was not good. Triple rooms could easily allocate 3 adults.

Property has exceptional value for the area! Pedro (who works the night shift) also goes above and beyond for guests. I had noticed my room was still pretty cold with having the heat on and he immediately switched me to a room close by. The TVs have HDMI connections, WiFi was strong enough, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet for the most part, breakfast was an extended continental—lots of different breads, yogurt, cereal, and fruit and it was a 35-40 minute easy walk to the train station with a Lidl 5 min walk away.

Not a real complaint, but would have loved a more balanced meal over bread and fruit, but truly am grateful for it at cost so not a true complaint. The keys are so cumbersome and loud when opening doors in the hallway it wakes people. Some better care to the shower cleanliness as there were quite a few hairs around.

The hotel is very basic, but the price value is very good. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is very good with a lot of variety. It also has an outdoor pool overlooking the Douro River, which is very good during the summer. Also, the location is great with grocery stores all around. The staff is also very nice!

The exterior of the hotel is old and not very convincing. But the interior is well furnished and maintained with good facilities. In addition, the sheets and towels have some stains even though they were obviously washed.

Great location in Regua, one street back from the Douro. Hotel has a bar area but we frequented the bar/cafe a couple of steps away. Short walk (15 mins) into the centre of Regua where you'll find plenty of restaurants in the vicinty of the museum. Pool access is across the carpark-the hotel provide you with a chitty to gain entry and you need a new one every day. Breakfast was good. Good base to explore the area along and up into vine covered hills above the Douro. Good value.

Maybe the entrance into the carpark directly off the main road could have had a lower kerb to make it easier to get the motorbikes into it.

The staff is beyond praise - on all issues they always went forward. For example, he agreed to contact booking to change the booking from two double rooms to one triple, and this was done without any penalty. And when we decided to extend our stay at the hotel, they made a discount. At the same time, the breakfasts are very good. The location is excellent - next to the beautiful promenade, on which the entertainment area is located (while the hotel is quiet), Godim station, Lidl and Regua with many restaurants. There is a wonderful pool. For the money this is a great hotel.

We booked a triple room so ordinary double might be on the small size but our room came with a separate area with the single bed that we used as a dressing room. Apart from the last morning , breakfast excellent- plenty of fresh fruit , croissants good, rolls fresh. Unfortunately on the fourth morning when we were leaving, the C team was looking after the breakfast and the service was poor- bad attitude to keeping everything well supplied and slow to clear tables. Service on other mornings was excellent. We were close to the river and found it an easy ( and delightful) walk to catch both the boat trip and the train . The area is fine- ignore previous reviews. Reception staff pleasant and helpful

Service on last breakfast- if that had been our only experience, we’d have marked the hotel lower. Worth booking a triple room for the extra space.

Check in was possible earlier (came around 11), the woman at the reception was super nice and spoke good English. The rooms are old and like my grandma's, yes, but they are also spotlessly clean as my grandma's. Breakfast was a positive surprise too. Nice small choice of pastries, fruit and jogurt

Rooms are old (but in a very clean condition) but some things are of course outdated. Had to search for power sockets. And you have a real key to take with you.

The staff was very professional and the breakfast has a decent variety. I found the beds very comfortable. Free parking is a big plus. If you are in the Douro Valley and just need a room to sleep, I recommend this hotel.

The rooms were noisy and in the hotel bar there was just drinks with gas for children.

The hotel had a delicious breakfast. We almost couldn’t believe we got such a good breakfast for the cheap rate we paid for the room. The hotel itself is simple, but has everything you need, and that for a good price. The staff is very kind and friendly. The hotel is very near to several supermarkets. All in all a good pick!
