Running a hotel is never easy, but when everything is going well it is a lot easier. When there are problems, then the hotel shows it's true quality. When we arrived my friend was not well. The room had been set up as a double room, despite us ordering it as a twin bed room. The staff immediately set to to change the beds. It then became obvious that separate rooms would be better. At every stage the staff did their best to help. They were brilliant. That ignores the brilliant location, excellent facillities, great restaurant, and comfortable rooms.

My friend wasn't unwell. Seriously the hotel was great.

First and foremost, your beautiful establishment and grounds and the incredible views! In addition, the staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious - from the charcuterie board when we arrived to our dinner in the dining room as well as the incredible breakfast buffet! This was our third time staying in your hotel and, hopefully, not the last!!

I loved the warm & amazing staff of the hotel. The facilities are very good, the restaurant fantastic and the view is gorgeous. Very happy we went there.

Unfortunately, the only thing missing was the connection through booking chat, as we asked a question a day before going and they didn't get back to us.

Rooms are super comfortable, the staff is very nice, and the view is superb. The location is perfect to explore the valley during the day, and be back still in time to enjoy the pool in the afternoon.

Nothing about the hotel or the facilities in specific, but we considered the price of the restaurant a bit high for what was been offered.

Beautiful views overlooking the Douro, modern style rooms and great facilities such as pool, Turkish steam room, sauna and hot tube. Loved the atmosphere and style of the hotel as well as the connection with the winery.

Rooms we stayed in showed a little wear and tear and needed more detail regarding requirements for swim caps and slippers in pool and sauna areas

The views were beautiful and we loved walking through a vineyard. The food was delicious. It was relaxing.

Google Maps failed us. It was very hard for us to get there. The narrow roads and fast drivers were intimidating. There was no where to go unless you drove… the pretty little town right beside the resort didn’t even have a coffee shop.

Beautiful location and surroundings. Great for couples and romantic getaways. Breakfast was good.

Not a 5-star hotel. More like 4-star. A few minor details were missing to be a 5-star. Nothing annoying, but the small flaws can’t happen at a 5-star.

Beautiful property, well kept with exceptional grounds and views. Great breakfast included with room, and restaurant for dinner was a nice option which we took advantage of when too tired to travel to town. Beautiful big pool.

Room was far from reception (five sets of stairs or two elevators and two long halls). Could have used a trolley for luggage or someone to help carry it.

Beautiful property with lovely rooms. Enjoyed a beer by the pool after a days cycling, watch out for the hill up to the hotel ! Very nice dinner too

When you’re cycling the hill up to the hotel is a tough finish to the day !!

The location of the shower/bathtub and the pool wasn’t working the first day. Indoor pool required bathing caps and we were not aware or offered any free of charge as the outdoor pool was not available as advertised.
