A very comfortable and nicely located place in the Douro valley. Beautiful views from the house! The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was very rich and tasty, we were offered also a very tasty dinner in the house. Hostess was very kind and helpful, the communication with her was a bit unconventional (via the translator software) but very successful. It was a pleasure to overnight here and a pity not to spent few more days. Recommended to everyone wishing to enjoy the atmosphere and hospitality in Douro valley.

A bit difficult to find the real road to the entrance according to available GPS information, you need to know where to drive by the steep road uphill!

We had wonderful stay in Quinta do Fojo! Food is delicious, porto is very tasty, view is beautiful and hosts are very warm and welcoming. Already want to come back :)

Everything was great. I only recommend to pay attention that there is another Quinta do Fojo 16 min away)) Put correct address in navigator!

Everything was prepared when we arrived up the step road. We had a small car so for us everything was ok but if you have a massive sedan or suv you might not fit through the gate or be able to park easily as this is located on the hillside. But my god how beautiful location this is. The pictures really does show the beauty of this location. Our hostess fixed a lovely dinner with cheese and chauteriy board as couvert and pork potatoes and tomato sallad for main with a lovely red wine to go with it. Breakfast was also lovely with her own made jams and fruits picked from her own garden. All in all a perfect stay. Would recommend this quiet small place to anyone who wants tranquility and a warm welcome from the hostess.

Location, location, location! Stunning views of the Duorro Valley and river below, with Fernanda offering an unforgettable dinner and breakfast on the terrace. (Complete with homemade jams from the area, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a large seafood pot) The rooms were new, modern and gave our stay an element of luxury. It's a very unique experience and strikes a perfect balance of feeling like your visiting someone's home and still maintaining the privacy and luxury of a hotel stay. A heartwarming experience, we left regretting that we had only booked for one night.

Quinta do Fojo is a beautiful guesthouse with wonderful views over the Douro and the Douro Valley. We were welcomed by the owner Fernanda and immediately shown to our room. The room was spacious and modern and the bathroom was big and clean. The dinner Fernanda prepared for us was absolutely delicious and some of the best we had while in Portugal! Also, the breakfast was phenomenal and included many homemade products and jams. The communication with Fernanda is different from what we were used to as she only speaks Portuguese and French, but with Google Translate it worked perfectly and she was always super friendly and helpful. It appears that they are currently building a pool next to the house - so that's something to look forward to as it will have gorgeous views as well.

I'm tempted to keep this a secret since it was so amazing! But everyone should get to experience this incredible place. Both meals we had at the hotel were homemade and so delicious. The owner even gave us a sample of the private wine they make on the property. The view is beyond stunning. Could not be more pleased with this experience.

Nothing! It's far from restaurants, but it doesn't even matter - the food they serve is so good. The roads in are narrow and steep but it's worth it for the incredible view.

This hotel is newly remodeled and very modernize. The room is very clean and comfortable. The AC works wonderful during our stay which was about 34 degrees outside. The host is very kind and welcoming. Fernanda went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. She picked some fresh figs and oranges from the orchard for our breakfast. Our room has a balcony with the wonderful view of Douro river and the valley. We will return.

Once we managed to reach it (see below), we enjoyed a wonderful place. The lady who runs the place welcomed us warmly and has been close and friendly during all our stay. She also served a very nice breakfast. Our room had a small balcony, with view on the river. Silence, nature, feeling of being "in retreat" from the world... Too bad we couldn't stay more!

We experienced some difficulty to find it (especially considering we arrived after sunset). There should be much more visible road signs in both directions on the little road which leads to it, Otherwise, this place is wonderful.

The host, miss Fernanda has super nice. The house is super modern and the view is amazing. The ac works perfect and both rooms had a smart tv. We were allowed to stay by the pool after the check out. You need a car to acess, not much around but they do serve food if you need.

The pillows cold have been more confortable but they were good enough.

The views were amazing, the accomodations very comfortable and the host, Fernanda, went out of her way to make us feel like beloved guests. She prepared a wonderful dinner and two breakfasts with freshly made orange juice, cherries from her garden, the best coffee we ever had and all sorts of other delicious additions (bread, cheese, etc.).
