There was a lot to like. Great location, good staff, clean rooms, and a pool. Also direct access to the parking garage from the hotel was a nice touch, though the elevator is separate for it

My only true complaint would be the extra fee for parking and breakfast. I know they make it well known when booking the property, but it being complimentary is always a nice touch.

The pillows are horrible. There was hair and old, dried contact lenses in the bathroom floor.

It was a wonderful experience and stay. The staff was super friendly. The only issue we personally had, the rooms didn’t have microwaves in them. The microwave was located in the lobby. Honestly I didn’t want to go down to the lobby at 1am to heat up my food. Other than that, it was an excellent experience.

Calm location, easy to find. Not too far from downtown. Right in from of Cumberland Mall.

The fire alarm went on at 6 AM one day, a recorded message urged everyone to evacuate the buiding annoucing that a fire has been detected and to proceed to the closest exit. When we exit the buiding there was nobody outside, then we proceed to the reception since it was very cold (24 F). A few people was already standing there. The receptionist was unaware of the situation and asked the people why everybody were there. He was not prepared to handle the situation since, instead of calling the firefighters he simply tooked the elevator, then returned, called the manager and kept walking around for about an hour, than said that everybody could return to their rooms. No further information was provided.

I liked the staff. They were helpful, receptive, and decently friendly. I also liked the room set up. It was comfortable and tidy. The bed and chair were roomy and comfortable. I had a king size bed. The room was really nice for the price before taxes and fees. I loved the location, also; it's at the center of so many stores, restaurants, and sources of entertainment. It's also not far from the interstate. The hotel was quiet, which I liked. I was able to relax. I liked the lobby set up. I was able to watch TV on a secluded, quiet, comfortable fashion, while I waited on my breakfast.

I didn't like that I had to pay for breakfast. I also didn't like that I had to pay for parking. The computers were inaccessible, which was a negative. In addition, I had to wait to check in. My room wasn't ready at my 3 o'clock check-in. That's already a late check-in. I had no early check-in option, which I did not like.

Everything was nice and clean. Large hotel. Room was spacious. Pool was nice. Didn’t order any breakfast based on a previous review someone stated yogurt and water was $8. We ate out.

The Room didn't stay cool throughout the night. We weren’t instructed on where anything other than the parking lot was. Although ik there was a parking fee i wasnt advised of that neither. No instructions where the elevators were, where the pool was, where breakfast was or time it starts and ends, nothing about the market (where they sell snacks) The whole conversation went like this: “hello, id like to check in. Ok I just need your id, theres $100 deposit please sign on the pinpad, heres your key to your room its also your way in the parking garage. Ok thanks!” Im not a talkative person so I didn’t matter much to me but working in customer service you should always have a helpful and upbeat attitude

I stayed at the Sonesta because I had a medical procedure starting at 0600. The location was extremely convenient to the medical facility. Unfortunately, with a 5:55 checkout, we didn't get to experience the breakfast area. The corner room was clean, spacious, and had windows with a balcony on 2 walls. Very comfortable king bed. Connecting to Wi-Fi was streamlined, and speeds were good.

Except for the HVAC system, which had a noisy fan, room 213 was very quiet. Something needs to be done to reduce the roar of the HVAC system. The thermostat was very optimistic about temperature. It was set for 70 degrees when we checked in, but felt more like 66 degrees. Room was comfortable with the thermostat set to 76 degrees. I had packed foam earplugs, so I got a good night's sleep, despite the HVAC noises.

The rooms were comfy and it was walking distance to Truist field (30 min). The mall was across the street and lots of food options nearby to walk to as well. Curtains allowed for a very dark room even in daylight. Great sleeping. The bathroom supplied toiletries were lovely.

No notice ahead of time when the Commons was going to be open or not. Came down to breakfast one morning and just a sign saying sorry. The next day it was open. No rhyme or reason to it.

I was greeted by every staff member I passed from the moment I walked in. Everyone from the front counter worker to the cleaning staff was very friendly with big smiles on their faces. The hotel was kept up and the room was clean. I will stay again when I come to the area.

There is a $12 per night parking fee when you go to check out, which I was told about when I checked in, but some guests apparently were not told. They were mad and arguing with staff at checkout. I suggest just adding that into the room total when customers book, so it doesn't seem like an extra add on cost that was thrown in there at the end.

When I specifically booked, I ask for a working microwave. A working refrigerator that was very important because I didn't want to eat out when I came home from the convention. I just wanted to eat something that I had brought or been able to warm it up. And neither one of those was working and I ask for replacements and they told me. I would have to move to another room and get charged more. But I reserve this room probably at least six months in advance
