The location is very close to the beach. It is just a short walk. You could rent various items at the hotel such as beach chairs. There is a small convenient store on site, where you can buy a wide variety of products. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. The breakfast manager was very helpful with tips and advice. The hotel is nicely situated close to the ocean , ,but also a short drive away from the national park. The hotel also has a convenient parking lot.

This place is a gem. Staff are awesome we had a guy smoking outside our room and they handled it quickly. Come here if you're quiet and contentious- the vibe is unwind and be respectful of the space/nature. The grounds are so well-kept you can tell they owners really take pride in their place. Location is 100/10 for me- walk to the nature preserve/beach. Pool was great.

They should reconsider their policy that people leave their ID at the front desk to use a beach towel. Hold $10 instead. If something happens to a persons ID they are literally unable to board a flight. Travel documents shouldn't be held in exchange for anything especially not a towel. It's not reasonable and really detracts from what is otherwise exceptional.

Perfect location! We stayed 3 nights before staying in Fajardo 2 nights. It really is like having a private beach! Calm water good for families, theyll rent chairs, etc..Older hotel, but well kept. We got there late due to airline delay. We made it before midnight, after that a guard has to check you in. Hiram was there and made our tiresome trip better. Its easily a 3 hr drive from San Juan. You've got to have a car and make sure you enable toll roads on your map, you can't really avoid them. Tommy at the breakfast was great and Jara (I probably misspelled her name) at the front desk in the day was fantastic. We had the king balcony, it was spacious and clean. The parking lot fills up quickly. They use solar power to heat water so day time showers are hotter. But the water eventually gets warm at night too. Breakfast is like a Holiday Inn, store bought stuff, but the coffee was awesome. Overall great experience, we'll definitely stay there again.

I don't love that as a guest I have to leave my license to get a towel for the beach. But at the same time I understand.

The location has easy access to the Combate Beach, a short walk by well maintained path at the rear of the gated property. Also, the location is less crowded, yet only a short walk from bars and other restaurants (there is a breakfast restaurant on site). Staff was readily available to help with any questions. We enjoyed the nicely kept, outdoor, pool with lounge chairs and covered seating area with bathrooms. There is an onsite gift shop and you can purchase drinks (beer or mojitos) for your room at the reception area without being overcharged.

Coffee pricing (the only thing overpriced IMHO) - I paid just over $4 for a coffee at their restaurant. In the morning, I typically skip breakfast but need a couple cups of coffee. The restaurant offered coffee but at a price of more than $4. They also offered unlimited free coffee if you purchase one of their nice ceramic coffee mugs for $28. This would be OK if I had found out at the beginning of our trip.

Comfortable and very clean property and room. Enjoyed the breakfast at the on-site restaurant. Host Tommy, at the restaurant was super friendly and informative of breakfast layout and activities in the area.

Would be helpful to have ice bucket available in the room. Room door locking mechanism was difficult to operate. Could use more surface space for putting things on, no suitcase stand, etc.

It was in a nice location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was great and they have kayaks to use but we didn’t stay there long enough.

The maps app took us to a different location but we eventually found it. The check in office is actually in a gift shop and not in the office labeled Combate resort. View was over a campground and there was loud singing at night but it didn’t last too late.

My family and friends lived in this hotel for 2 weeks. I'm in love with it!clean,housekeepers just amazing always trying to keep your room update with towels and anything you need. Front desk also helpful and friendly Best calm beach in Puerto rico just 1 min walk Highly recommend Definitely will come back to this place Thank you guys you are the best

That you have everything by a walk away it's amazing. The pool near the beach priceless and the staff superb!!. My girls are so happy with the stay they gave it 100/100. And we will go back🙏

The only thing, the smoking area, o gosh! See; you have to fight for not to be attack by iguanas biological stuff while you are smoking and don't get me wrong it's a nice and cozy spot but there so many iguanas on top of you doing their biological stuff that is crazy...

Probably a 1 to 2 minute walk to the beach right behind the there's not that busy in that area so you will have plenty of room like some other beaches it's hard to find spots this when you will not if you're staying here like some other beaches it's hard to find spots this when you will not if you're staying here If you go to the restaurant make sure you speak to Tommie he is such a valuable asset for this location very helpful and made our trip so much better.

Had everything in a small space and with a good location. Combate beach is an okay beach. The desk employees were very helpful and polite.

Need to better specify about breakfast, it was expensive and NOT included. Even in San Juan one could get more food at the Hipopótamo for the price paid. And we booked this place because it said it included breakfast, otherwise we wouldn't have. Please change the information on the website so it is transparent to the person booking. Also says no eating at room but has a microwave and a fridge... mixed messages all around
