Not winning at casino, black jack table through too many 12's. The beach was not swimmable due to rip tide and rocks, not clean of trash. Never saw the illumination of the water at night. Food was over priced and too salty and I could not eat it, but they comped the meal, graciously. Hot tub could have been cleaner

Pros: Nice grounds, nice pool with slide, spacious room with incredible ocean view that fit my family if 5 in 2 queens plus single sofa bed. Only 90 min from San Juan and 60 min from Caguas where there is a great indoor activity center. Lots of outdoor games, good number of poolside seating, free ice pops and Icees by pool, very very nice and accommodating staff, delicious ice cream ‘rolls’ that were expensive but yummy. Located within 5-10 min drive to everything you can think of from food to shopping to downtown Ponce. I highly recommend if you’re coming with children because they have plenty to keep the kids busy. It’s 1 hr away from La Paraguera where we went on an excursion to Bio Bay, which is a MUST do. Cons: Beach: The beach on this property is not calm water, it’s rocky and has seaweed. However, if you walk to the end of the shoreline away from the hotel, the sand gets smooth and there’s no seaweed. We discovered that on our own and it SAVED the trip bc we thought there was soft sand beach at the hotel. Food: the primary high end restaurant was closed during our stay (Sunday-Wed) so we couldn’t try it. The buffet for lunch and dinner is really below average. There is a grill by the pool where we ordered 2x and it wasn’t bad, but not amazing either. Sushi restaurant: this place is awful. Do not eat there, I felt so gross after our lunch. None of the staff spoke English, it was absolutely bizarre for a resort and the opposite of the other grounds. Food takes forever to come out and when it does the sushi just doesn’t seem fresh and the sauces are all off. It’s pretty expensive for a below average sushi spot so do not waste your money. Parking: while parking was easy, paying $12/day is unnecessary for a hotel guest

Rooms need a deep cleaning and some renovations

I really enjoyed our stay. Food was great, clean service, the food is also open til 10pm or 11pm which is great. There's a convenience store inside the hotel which was good to have. The place is beautiful to walk around.

I didn't like that there are double beds in the room. I needed a 2 room with 2 beds and the only ones they have are double beds. Queen beds would be much better!

Everything was great. The room was comfortable and very clean. Loved the view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was great, and the service excellent. I had a great time, and will come back.

The buffet was too pricey. The birds were a nuisance

It is clear that it was built during a more prosperous time, the space is really nice, and the pools are good to relax. If you are into golfing, they have a nice course accessible by internal transport. The restaurant offers a good grilled assortment.

Room is spacious and beds are very comfortable. Service is great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Pools were clean and jacuzzi was nice. Many games for family fun. Food was good, less variety but in good quality that is what we need. Golf course was wonderful at reasonable price.

Pounce is very hard to find Uber or Taxi, which is different than San Juan and unexpected for us. Renting a car is a big plus. But the hotel is good to help arrange a taxi to the airport. We enjoyed our stay at the resort.

The pool and the location are great. It really feels like you're disconnected from the rest of the world. The Sports Bar has good American food. The New Year's party they organized was also great.

The staff isn't corteous at all and even ignore you at times. At one point we heard one server say he hated working there. The restaurants were nothing to write home about, with the Wine themed "La Cava" missing 3 of the 4 wines we ordered and the "Sancho's Sushi" restaurant being a total flop. The beach, sadly, is very small.

The room was comfortable and clean. Different amenities to choose from other than just the beach and the pool. Staff all very helpful. It was very quiet, which I loved. My room was in the Ocean Tower. It was furthest away from the main lobby and pool area.

There were not a lot of food options. Other than the buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there was a Sushi restaurant requiring reservations on property and the poolside bar. The room service was available but options were limited. The same items could be purchased at the poolside bar, with the exception of breakfast. I would have enjoyed some lighter options especially for lunch and dinner. The dinner buffet was $30, and while they had variety. I personally am not always in the mood for a full meal at every meal, so it wasn’t worth it to me.
