- the property is classified as a 3*, and it satisfies all the 3* expectations - rooms are very large, and the bathroom, too - a very special mention for the mattress, as it is very comfortable in comparison with many 4* hotels that I have visited - room cleaning is done every day, and the towels are clean and good quality - the property has private parking, and there is enough space to park - there is a restaurant at the property with space inside and also in the garden, a nice place to eat - the breakfast is good, fit for a 3* hotel, average food

- hot water has some problems with setting the balance between temperature and pressure, but it is manageable (can be fixed in my opinion by replacing the shower stop with a bigger one)

The accommodation was as on photos. It is an old and charming villa with beautiful garden and nature surrounding the villa. The plus was the parking at the location. Our room was spacious enough and clean. Also, even we went in May do to the mountains at the evening was colder however room was warm due to the additional heating. Furniture and bathroom are older but very clean and in accordance with villa's old charm, so it did not bother us at all. Breakfast was great and in such a nice and room full of light, so do not skip it. Centre of this small place is very close, maybe 5 to 10 minutes walk, but you are at the mountains and villa is up to hill so it may take longer. The town is full of little restaurants and cafes. Peles castle in on walking distance (up to hill but really close).

Lovely building and location. It was easy to find and close enough to the main town. I loved the interior design and the garden. Staff were very friendly and helpful - they let us keep our luggage with them before checking in and after checking out, and allowed us to use the garden and lobby (including bathroom) after checking out. The area is nice and quiet - my partner is super sensitive to noise and still did not have any issues falling asleep

The rooms seem to need some maintenance. Some plugs don't work, and some screws need tightening for example the toilet paper holder (but still fully functionall overall). The breakfast selection could be improved, but you still get your standard breakfast items (eggs, tomatoes, yoghurt..)

It is a very cute old style hotel in the city centre. It is very quiet, if you go in the summer in the garden it smells like pines and fresh grass. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is pretty good too.

There are some little details in the interior and in the breakfast (for example when you first boil the eggs and then leave them in the Ben Marie pan they continue to cook and the yolk turns straight up black.) , however those are too small issues and for the rate we paid the hotel was more than perfect.

As it wasn't our first stay here, we liked it as much as before. The location is amazing, a lot of history, nice staff and great soundings. the breakfast was amazing and so is the lunch/dinner, if you want to eat in their restaurant. The room was big, comfortable and very clean. Very close to Peles Castle, Sinaia Monastery and city center. We will definitely stay again.

Maybe a little refresh or update on small details would not hurt, in the future. the water was hot, but it took several minutes to heat up. The room is warm, but the heat is turned off early in the morning and only the staff can operate it, turn it back on in the evenings.

Vila Camelia in Sinaia, Romania, is a truly charming and memorable place to stay, offering a delightful mix of history, comfort, and stunning mountain scenery. The villa’s classic architecture and vintage decor add an old-world charm that makes guests feel like they've stepped back in time. Spacious rooms with lovely views of the Carpathian Mountains make it a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The garden areas are particularly inviting, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or unwinding in the fresh air with the sound of nature all around. However, it’s worth noting that morning coffee is only available after 8:00 AM, which may be a slight inconvenience for early risers. While we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and unique character of Vila Camelia, there were a few small areas for improvement. The staff, though professional, could have been a bit more warm and welcoming, which would add an even more personal touch to the experience. We did encounter occasional hot water issues, which were a minor inconvenience but didn't affect our stay too much. The breakfast, while the same each day, is still varied enough to offer something for every taste, with a good range of options that make mornings enjoyable. However, we noticed a few minor cleanliness and maintenance details. One morning, we found a dirty fork at breakfast, which suggested a need for a bit more attention to detail in the dining area. Additionally, the bathroom door in our room had a small crack and didn’t lock fully, which affected privacy slightly. Overall, Vila Camelia is a unique and charming place that offers guests a tranquil escape into nature and history. With a little extra attention to detail, it could be even better, but it’s still a wonderful spot to experience Sinaia’s beauty and peaceful atmosphere.

This vila is from 1884 if I can remember well and its architecture resembels that of Peles Castle. It is truly something else both on the outside and the inside and has a really cozy vibe. The staff was friendly and helpful. It has a pretty diverse breakfast and tasty as well with a variety of teas and sweets. The room in which you eat breakfast is very nice as well with big windows facing outside and a lot of light coming in. The rooms are pretty big and clean. Forgot to mention that we booked a double room and we actually got some kind of appartment on 2 levels with an inside staircase which was really nice. Bedroom upstairs with a dressing and living room with bathroom on the inferior level. Great location as well. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from the railroad station (you have to climb some stairs but other than that it’s really close) and very close to the Dimitrie Ghica park and city center.

The fact that the bathrooms have glass doors which you can see through is a bit strange so I would recommend applying some kind of smart window glass film on these to be able to have privacy.

Full of character old style hotel . Garden and trees around. Decent restaurant with varied menu and some traditional Romanian dishes, and chef happy to discuss my dietary requirements- gluten free bread available . Fantastic buffet breakfast was included and set me up for a day walking in mountains Had a top floor room that was very comfortable and had a lovely large bathroom , very clean. Mini bar fridge handy to store milk etc and coffee and tea facilities in room . Slippers and abundance of thick towels . Easy to find from nearby train station and has its own signpost. Walking distance to Peles Castle.

Interior could be a bit tidier, slightly shabby but in keeping with the character of the building. Reception staff not particularly friendly- restaurant staff better. No information about the area. It rained heavily during my visit and the steep cobbles around the street can be slippery .

We booked this hotel, because it seemed to have an old world charm. In reality, it looked just like the photos online and we were not disappointed. We had a large room at the front of the hotel, with a balcony. The room could be used as a family room, as it had a sofa bed as well, but we stayed there as a couple. The floors creaked a little, but this added to the charm. We did not hear any other guests or staff from our room, so soundproofing is good. Bed was large and comfy. The views from the balcony were lovely and there were chairs to sit on too.

There was no plug in bath or sink. The bath had a showerhead on the wall above it, but there was no shower curtain, so we had to use it as a handheld unit, to prevent water from going on the floor. We were only there for two nights, so not a problem for us, but not the easiest way to shower.

Old retro style beautiful vila. Reception guy had difficulty in communicating in English. Rooms were comfortable. There is no AC so can be an issue for few, however we kept the windows open for natural cool breeze. Breakfast buffet was delicious with good options. There is a cute cat staying in the vila premises which was adorable. Location is 10 mins walk from the station & close by to all attractions. Overall wonderful stay to feel old world charm.
