It was somewhat uncomfortable to find a parking space as the hotel does not have private parking Not a deterrent to take into account when booking your stay though.

I am not really keen on writing reviews, but Hotel Regal 1880 surely deserves all the praises. Firstly the staff: I wrote to them asking if I would be able to leave my luggage at the reception way before the check-in time. They replied instantly telling me that the room will be available for check in when I arrive. When I arrived they gave me a double room, even if I paid for a single room and without me asking for an update. So I was really impressed with how nice the staff was. Secondly the hotel: when I travel solo, I don’t usually care about stars and amenities as long as the hotel’s location suits me and the price is good. For Hotel Regal I did not even check the location, I just saw that the price was great and booked it. I was surprised to see that it was right in the heart of Sinaia, just in the middle of the local park. It is a historical building, kept in very good condition. The room I received was very large, clean and comfortable. I have been to much fancier and pricier hotels which looked way worse. So, for a 3 star hotel, Regal 1880 was a huge surprise both in terms of the staff and in terms of the building and rooms.

We liked the location, you can exit from the hotel directly in central park of Sinaia, very close to train station and center of Sinaia. The room height was impressive, very high ceiling, big height which left the impression of large space. We stayed for only 1 night and for our case it was just what we needed.

We visually liked the bed and cabinets / closets which looked old but we did not appreciate the noise these were making. The bed creaked and also the other furniture parts, these need more attention in order to have a comfort staying. Also the mattress should be changed, in our point of view.

The location is great, right next to the central park. Staff is friendly and open to accommodate your requests. Beautiful room decorations and furniture in the late 19th century style just like the facade of the whole building.

Bath tub instead of cabin can cause water to splash all over

It’s perfectly located in the middle of the park, close to the restaurants, at the same time - quiet. The building is gorgeous, high ceilings and wooden stairs.

We were on a family trip, although we booked an apartment for four persons, one of the beds was not prepared, we had to put the sheets ourselves. In the bathroom, there is a bathtub, but there’s no curtain or glass to block the water from wetting the whole bathroom floor.

Very nice location, even better looking than the pictures. They went above and beyond to make my staying perfect. I would deffinitely come again. Staff was very kind and the room was clean. I had several extra demands that were met immediately.

The bed was very comfortable, the lighting of the room, how warm it was and the small balcony. They introduced a small breakfast station for coffee and tea that you can access anytime.

There are not enough power outlets, and it was difficult to charge our phones - we had to do it one at a time. Also, the lamp and the tv shared the same socket so we had to take one of to plug in the other. There is a loose tile in the bathroom that has been there since last year, I wish they would fix that.

The big disatvantage is no car parking. Because it is in the city center, the private parking is not available at the property. If you are lucky enough you can find a parking on the street in front of the hotel, if not you will end at the paid parking nearby (5-10 mins).

The room in the hotel is simply beautiful and elegant, especially I was offered free upgrade to the room at the attic! Beautiful decor and painted furniture and the bathtub with sky views! If I come again, I will definitely stay here!

Wonderful and so helpful people at the reception and the hotel personnel. Always smiling and willing to help :) the rooms are beautifully decorated. The only recommendation I would have for the room where I stayed would be to have a stand for the luggage similarly to other hotels. Maybe other rooms have it and for ours maybe there isn't a matching furniture like that - it's not important, though. The stay there was really great!

If I had to be picky, I'd only say that the power sockets were very few in my room and none near the bed. Maybe it's normal in such old buildings. But there was no problem with finding one in the room to charge my phone. Also, as an overall recommendation to the hotel management - it would be great if possible to recondition the beautiful wooden facade facing the park. It is really beautiful and as it looks now unfortunately it doesn't give much credit to the hotel from the outside - of course, the impression changes completely once you step in and the inside of the hotel and the rooms are just lovely. But it's a pity to see that beautiful wood affected by the weather and it can ruin the first impression...
