I was given a warm welcome on arrival at the hotel. The airport pick up was there waiting and very welcome after a long flight. The staff are all kind, friendly people and can"t do enough to ensure your stay is pleasant and memorable. The location is ideal the building has a supermarket on the second floor and on the first floor more shops and a handy bar at the far end to watch all the premier league football. The Bamboo restaurant serves a varied and delicious breakfast each morning and the other meals are also of good quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

I had a wonderful 9-day stay at Hotel 2000 in Kigali. From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. A special thanks to Zaché, the driver who picked me up from the airport, he not only made sure I was comfortable but also gave me a great introduction to the city and recommended some great places to visit. I also want to sincerely thank Paterne, Keza, Thierry, and Phiona. Their professionalism, kindness, and constant availability made my stay truly enjoyable. They were always ready to help, give advice about Kigali, and make sure I had everything I needed. Thanks to the whole team for making me feel at home. I will definitely come back to Hotel 2000 on my next trip to Kigali!

Clemantine and Alice (restaurant staff), who remembered my passion preference and offered excellent breakfast recommendations. The Hotel provided us with one of the best buffet breakfasts one can think of even in Western countries. If you ever have to stay in this hotel please don't forget to take advantage of the breakfast. You will love it! The two ladies in charge of breakfast, Betty and Clementine were very professional, excellent customer service qualities, they were always ready to help and even took time to explain the menu contents to visitors. The Hotel has the best Lunch and Dinner menu you can think of in Kigali, the menu has different varieties and they are not expensive. The room we stayed in had a mountain view, even though it was an old room but it was very clean. They had plans to renovate the room soon. 2000 Hotel is strategically located in Downtown Kigali with easy access to everything you can think of, restaurants, transportation, shops and malls. We want to appreciate Betty and Clementine in the Bamboo restaurant as well as Adeline, Keza, Phiono, Moses and Nancy in the reception for making our 12-day vacation in Kigali a memorable one.

Some rooms are due for renovation. But most rooms have recently been renovated. You can request for a newly renovated room. Aside from this everything else was excellent.

From the moment I arrived, I was deeply impressed by the cleanliness, the exceptional quality of service, and the warmth of the staff. The hotel maintains remarkably high standards in hygiene, and the ambiance is one of understated elegance. The restaurant serves an impressive array of continental dishes that cater to a global palate. Whether you're from Africa, Europe, Asia, or the Americas, there's something here for everyone. Placing an order is straightforward, though I did encounter minor communication challenges with some staff due to language limitations. However, this was more than compensated for by the hospitality and dedication of the team. While the entire hotel staff was outstanding, four individuals went above and beyond to make my stay not just comfortable, but memorable: Keza Manuella stood out as the most fluent English speaker on staff. She ensured that I was properly settled into my room upon arrival and continued to assist me throughout my stay—often helping me book local rides and providing clear directions. Her professionalism and responsiveness were invaluable. Paterne also demonstrated strong communication skills and a remarkable willingness to help. When I faced an issue with my credit card, he offered a personal solution by allowing funds to be transferred through his mobile money account and then forwarded the amount to my own account without requesting any compensation. He also gave detailed explanations about the food options, which helped me choose meals that were both enjoyable and suitable for my needs. Myriam, from the restaurant team, ensured that all our meals were delivered promptly and accurately.

Breakfast was a buffet with several choices and made to order eggs. The room was a good size. The location downtown was good. It is about 2 miles from the Genocide Memorial, which was an easy walk. We also walked to dinner locations and to the market. Bed was comfortable.

The advertised gym only had a few pieces of equipment, and the WiFi did not work in the gym. We were told we were only given 2 small bottles of water per day (1 for each of us), which definitely is not enough. Thankfully, there was water at breakfast and in the afternoon, there was water in the reception area.

Rooms were clean and always cleaned well. We also felt very safe here The location added to our overall experience in Kigali. We were able to take long walks around to see places for ourselves. It never felt unsafe because there were always people around to ask questions Breakfast 💯 The staff at the reception are super helpful and actually suggested places to visit outside of our itinerary Airport pickup and drop off drivers - Leon/Louis? & Dodois? were professional and gave us a mini tour of the city as they drove around. Felix the taxi driver at the front was also very professional. He took us to Fazenda and waited till we were done.

The breakfast and staff were absolutely exceptional! The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all of which were delicious and a great dining experience. The staff stood out even more—they were incredibly accommodating, professional, and friendly. Their warm and attentive service made the entire experience feel special. It’s rare to find a combination of great food and outstanding service, but this place truly exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!

Needs new carpet in the room.

The location is very central. The room is super big The food is good and very reasonable in price. The Staff are EXCELLENT! The breakfast is very good but mostly cater for Chinese guests. I like the free pick-up from the airport I like the free drop off to the airport when guests stayed for five nights or more

The rooms need a bit of maintenance or repairs e.g. the carpet has so many stains There are broken tiles in the restaurants that make it so shabby. The towels smell mouldy, they smell like they have been used by someone else! They need to use different detergent and use conditioners.

Stayed four nights in this hotel for work. It is not like a very posh hotel but it has solid basic services. The staff were kind and professional. The room is spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The hotel starts from 7th floor which connects to a nice roof-top bar/restaurant which also serves good breakfast. The lower floors of the hotel is part of local shopping mall (it was too local for me). The roof-top restaurant Bamboo has extensive range of Chinese and local food. Nice view at night from this restaurant.

I noticed two noise sources while in daytime: traditional market outside had a stall using noisy speaker, and the outdoor aircon unit from next room made dangling noise (perhaps it was from right next room). Each room has aircon units, so perhaps one of them had loose bracket. That room checked out next day, and it went all quiet :-)
