Very friendly staff, great room and facilities, onsen and massage chairs, vending machines and laundry. The breakfast was fantastic with a good selection and good taste, I loved the restaurant with excellent service and super tasty food at dinner, I enjoyed it every evening. If every Route Inn had such great food I would consider staying more often.

As a backpacker with a heavy backpack it was a bit uncomfortable to reach from the station as there is no public transport station nearby, also my room had a strong smell of old sweat, I could not locate the source of the smell, and I was afraid it was I, but it definitely wasn't me ;-)

The room is quite spacious as compared to other regular hotel in the big city. Not a new hotel but the cleanliness is good. The breakfast was really nice. There are several family restaurants and small supermarket near the hotel in a walking distance. I rent a car, so there is no comment about public transport. A lot of parking lots are provided free of charge. I have extra requested for two nearby room, the hotel can make it. You can easily contact the hotel staff via booking.com inbox.

Although the bathroom was small - not untypical in Japanese hotel chains - the room was of a perfectly adequate size, and clean and comfortable. A high floor affords views of the mountains on a clear day. The buffet breakfast was good, with different options on different days, and staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.

The location of the hotel isn't near either the bus and train stations, nor the castle and downtown areas. Everywhere a traveller might be interested in is walkable, to be fair, but during the winter some pavements were icy and slippy, making for tentative and slow going, and occasional recourse to a taxi.

Comfortable room

Cannot connect the WiFi. I think the hotel has to solve the problem of WiFi promptly. The Onsen is small compared to the one I stayed in Akita but it is still fairly good

For a standard hotel we were surprised with the size of the room and the amenities of the hotel (public bath included). The breakfast was simple but fine and the location is very easy to find. There a lot of shops and restaurants close-by for those traveling by car.

The bathrooms are always quite small in Japan, but this one was very very tiny.

The breakfast service is mainly Japanese style, but also can get some western meals such as sausage, scramble egg, and coffee. There is sufficient parking lots for self-driving traveller, and the location is convenient, which is surrounding by kinds of restaurants and a large supermarket. They also provide a big bath pool, which is a very relaxing service.

The staff are exceptional. Very formal, but friendly. The breakfast is very good with a good variety on offer. Rooms are clean and cleaned daily if required. The beds are firm which suited me.

Make sure you choose the non-smoking floors if you're not a smoker.
