Great room - it's huge and nicely laid out, the breakfast was tasty and generous (adding some fruit juice would have been a bonus) and the pool was exactly what we expected. The staff were also a credit to the place - very helpful. The bay is also beautiful and quiet.

There is an issue with the general price of meals and drinks at the hotel, which are overpriced when compared with local hotels which have much larger and more luxurious setting. The hotel should target a different market for lunches- lighter options and they will then draw crowds as that part of the market is not covered in the area and would be very welcome.

We had a wonderful stay at Coral Bay. Beautiful location, Staff extremely friendly , helpful and accommodating. It felt like a home away from home. I would highly recommend booking at Coral Bay. The breakfast was the highlight of our day . plenty and delicious. fresh fruits, omelets, pancakes and more.

We did have a few electricity issues and air-conditioner not working so this was abit of a problem. Clean towels everyday would also be better and there was no coffee in the rooms only tea.

The food was very nice, and the staff very attentive. The best thing about this venue was that it was small and private, which was great for a getaway to Zanzibar. The hotel is situated on the beach but without loads of other hotels and restaurants nearby, which meant that you could enjoy some quiet.

The generator is not strong enough to run the air conditioners. This is ok if you are used to it, or if you just use the fans, but it's worth knowing. It's also (like most places in Zanzibar) necessary to order your meals much in advance so that you don't wait long when you want to eat. But this was perfectly fine once we knew it.

We had the pleasure of spending 2 wonderful weeks at the amazing Coralbay. The rooms are spacious, airy, air-conditioned, and always clean and lovingly prepared thanks to the warm and ever-smiling Antonia. The team cleans the beach area daily and levels the sand, creating an incredibly well-maintained setting. The pool is clean and refreshing. The beach and tides are a natural spectacle. The food from the chef is fresh and incredibly delicious, and the warm, loving, and friendly Abdul is the heart of Coralbay. His attentive and cheerful nature defines Coralbay. If you seek romantic togetherness in secluded tranquility and wish to be warmly cared for, this is the perfect place. We thank you for the incredibly loving and unforgettable time you provided us; you are amazing.

We had the most amazing stay at Coral Bay, we arrived from Nungwi ready for a break and that’s exactly what we got. The spot is very secluded with only a few rooms which makes it feel extra special. We were greeted by Kelvin who was the highlight of our stay. He looked after us so well and was a pleasure to meet and get to know. He was very tuned into what we needed and when, very polite and kind. We had a a huge room with 2 double beds, it was a luxurious experience we were not expecting. Very clean, spacious with nice touches such as foot bowls with petals to wash sand off before entering room and beautiful decorative towel swans covered in fresh flowers. The pool was a great addition for low tide, but we also made sure to explore the rock pools looking at the fish and crabs. We recommend getting up for sunrise as it was magical and was only a few steps to the beach!

There is an island time wait for the food but Kelvin communicated this well and we were happy to enjoy the lounge/ pool space while we waited with a beer! It was well worth it, the chef Ibrahim prepared 4 delicious freshly cooked separate meals! We made sure to have lunch here again the next day. We recommend the breakfast, masala chips and chicken chapati roll.

We had a delightfully huge room with a sitting area inside the room and a sitting area outside the room. The breakfasts were great, with fresh fruit, crepes, eggs. This is a super quiet part of the bay, and we loved the peace. Yet, we could walk to other resorts and restaurants to dine or just have a coffee or a drink. The resort restaurant had a small menu from which you could pre-order lunch or dinner. We did that a few times, and the food was good. The staff was great--friendly and super-attentive.

The water in the bathroom sink and shower was salty, which made it a bit strange for brushing teeth and showering. We got used to it after a few days. It would have been nice if the room had a safe. I wouldn't say there was anything we didn't like; these are just little things.

1. July is a very windy month with lots of clouds, so the ocean does not look very blue 2. It's not really a swimming location due to the coral and rocks. However, you can walk about 2 minutes to an area where you can swim

For the beginning we were very happy to be able to check in earlier cause we were very tired from the flights. Tony welcomed us with welcome-drinks. He was very super friendly and always helpful all the time of our stay! Big thanks to you! The hotel itself is pretty new and it was just perfect for our holiday to relax. The room is very clean and well prepared with amenities, towels and more. The beachfront was quiet without annoying beach vendors and it was very clean aswell. In case of low-tide we could use on of the highlights of the hotel - the beautiful pool. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. Abdul made sure, we could rent a motorbike thanks for that! It’s highly recommended to stay here!

Coral Bay Zanzibar is the epitome of a relaxing hotel. Beautiful view, impeccable, spacious rooms with cooling crisp air conditioning, exceptional hospitality from staff and wonderful breakfast. Coral Bay was the highlight of our 2 week Zanzibar trip. We loved so many things about this hotel: - the location: the hotel is situated right at the beach, with a view to the beautiful, turquoise ocean and pongwe island. Very calm environment, perfect to relax. - the room we got was very big, decorated with love, perfectly clean and every day provided with fresh, cold water. View from the room to the pool and ocean. - the food: the breakfast was huge. With eggs, pancakes, fresh fruits, granola, yoghurt, coffee… really perfect - the owner lior and the hotel staff: really friendly owner and staff. One example: my partner forgot his passport in the hotel and the owner himself drove to jambiani to bring it back to him savely!!! THANK YOU LIOR
