Good location and easy parking (for a town centre). Restaurant good food.

Not enough staff to serve a busy restaurant. Two groups and they were swamped. They would have known from the bookings. Poor service as a result with fingers writing down the orders, diners going to bar for drinks and refills etc. Shame as staff there were lovely - just completely overwhelmed.

We stayed at this hotel during a cycle tour of Brittany and Normandy. I have stayed at this Mercure hotel on previous cycling tours because it is centrally located. The other advantage of staying here is that the bicycles can be securely locked away in a basement room in the hotel.

I wouldn't recommend having dinner at this hotel as it depends on how busy the hotel is. The staff are very pleasant but when it's busy they can't cope with the number of people. For a Mercure hotel I would have expected a better breakfast. The breakfast room is awkwardly arranged where people have to crowd around the breakfast table and coffee machine.

This Mercure Hotel is well located by the river and fortifications which makes it easy to find. It is clean and comfortable, but it is the staff that really make this hotel; they are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

There was no a/c in the warm rooms, on a hot July night, just a fan. But the windows opened wide so all was good!

Minimal

Breakfast was poor. Cooked food used up. Asked waitress for more and she was angry and surly! It finally came twenty minutes later and was so little that the next guests had to ask for more! She has an attitude problem.

This hotel is very well located just outside the historic walled city of Saint Lo and close to the railway station and the cyclepaths. The room was exactly what you would expect from a Mercure - clean, comfortable and well equipped. We chose to dine out but the menu for the hotel restaurant did look interesting. Our bikes were stored in a meeting room on the lower floor. Although close to the railway we were not disturbed by noise from the trains.

Everything was fine. Perhaps unfortunate that in the morning when we came to leave there was a meeting running in the room that our bikes were stored in - some rather perplexed people as we crept in to reclaim them!

Very lovely welcome by the smiling receptionist. She went out of her way to assist my elderly mother which was greatly appreciated. Beautiful warm room on the ground floor and excellent breakfast brought to the room. We look forward to returning.

Fantastic staff who were helpful and kind. The town is really pretty and historic. What a pity the car park outside your bedroom window is a public one where the local bikers gather!

The location was great, right beside pubs, restaurants and shops. Maud, the Receptionist, had very good English, which was great for us as our French is very limited. She was friendly, approachable and very accommodating. Thank you, Maud.

Close to the train station, spacious rooms. Powerful fan in the room helped with the heat

Breakfast buffet setup could have been better organized so that the stations are not so close together, which caused congestion

Very clean, wonderful staff, great location.

Not the hotels fault, but there were very loud motorcycles buzzing the town center until after 1am.
