The view is EVERYTHING!! We have the room facing the mt fuji and it's just amazing... Given this price the facilities doesn't matter. Good for solo travelers for 1-2 days max. Very short walk to see the amazing Mt Fuji and the lake. If you get up early you'll see the pink/red fuji mountain cap. so pretty

You get what you're paying for. It's just for the view so I'd recommend one night stay is enough (if weather is good) It's a hostel so you need to share bathroom/shower room, and no other shared space outside of your room.

Our stay at this beautiful hotel near Mount Fuji was truly perfect in every way. From the moment we arrived, the owner welcomed us with incredible warmth and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed — from local tips to little thoughtful gestures that made all the difference. The house itself had absolutely everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. I especially loved the traditional Japanese design — sleeping on the tatami mats, the sliding doors, the attention to detail in every corner. It felt like stepping into another world, peaceful and full of charm. And then there’s the view — waking up to see Mount Fuji right outside the window was simply breathtaking. It’s something I’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a serene, authentic, and welcoming experience with world-class views, this is the place. Can’t recommend it enough!

It’s a quiet area so restaurants in walking distance are limited (but available!). Has a 7/11 close by.

- Ideal location for Mt Fuji admiration - the host recommended to see the sunrise but it it was totally worth as I could see the mountain in its full glory with very little people around - Very helpful owner: he also gave recommendations for food and an activity for the next day which were spot on - Spacious room with everything in it - Very good laundry / drier (I just needed only one turn to dry my clothes) - Large parking

Very kind owner with a cute shiba inu dog! - Clean and tidy room, lovely traditional Japanese vibe - AC/Heater available in the room - It would have an amazing view of Fuji from our room, but sadly it was foggy when we stayed :( - Clean shower rooms, clean toilets - Good facilities - washing machine, dryer, microwave, kettle - Location by the beach, parking available, about a 3 minute drive from a 7-11

I wish there was a fridge in the room. The photos show signs which say 'public bath', so I mistakenly thought this was an onsen hotel and was a little disappointed to find only showers, but that is my fault for not double checking the listing carefully

Owner is really nice and helpful. He will show us where have the restaurant, cafe, bicycle rental. U can ask the uncle any question and he will answer u. When we want to leave and travel others place he also show us where have the best and local restaurant there. Our room able to see mt fuji and owner also inform us when can see it and where can capture nice photos. Is really amazing to see mt fuji from our room

The Japanese style room was very nice and spacious and we had an epic view from our balcony to the lake and Mt. Fuji. The host was also very nice and helpful. It's a simple place, but good value for money for the area during peak season.

The pillow, which I assume was a traditional design (full of some kind of granules, rather than feathers or foam) was not quite our cup of tea. But this was only a minor niggle, as we could just use pullover and part of the blanket instead and slept well.

We arrived and Mount Fuji views were obscured by clouds but on the last day the clouds disappeared and we got to see Mount Fuji. Beautiful location and wonderful staff. Lovely find and wished we could have stayed longer.

We were worried about the shared bathrooms but really didn't end up affecting us at all. The accommodation however does not have a lift, and visitors will be required to be able to climb stairs to their rooms and/or use bathrooms.

The host was a friendly family man with a very sweet dog! He was helpful throughout our stay. The location is very peaceful and quiet by the lake, and if you are facing the lake you can see the beautiful Mt Fuji! One of our favourite locations to stay at throughout our trip. The room was well kept and the beds/tatami mats were super comfortable!

It was a trek to get to the hotel from the local train station (almost an hour and a half bus ride). The bathroom facilities were average (only one toilet and two showers per gender). Only check in at 5pm :(

The view prefect. The room is facing Mount Fuji, so i am able to view it everytime i wake up in the morning. The bed is comfortable, room is quiet and enough equipment. The owner is friendly and tries to prodvide as much help as possible. and not to mention his dog is fluffy and cute.

The lack of curtains is a bit of a thing to get used to. Panic wakeup to check the phone if i overslept in the first day is a bit annoying at best. As expected, this is a shared bath hotel, so peak morning hours may require a bit of a wait to use the limited bathrooms space. The road access is a bit annoying, both JP GPS and google maps kinda of struggle to navigate/guide to the location. I finally resort to driving by satelite view.

Stunning location on the shores of Lake Yamanaka with perfect Mount Fuji view from the room with huge windows. You can photograph it directly from the room and if you walk to the lake you get the mirrored Fuji angle in the lake surface early morning before the wind starts. The gentleman taking care of the hotel was very kind and even gave us a call to know if we are on our way, as we were arriving late with the highway bus having a delay because of mucht traffic! There are microwaves and water kettle downstairs and the men's and women's showers & toilets are on different floors. Will definitely stay again here, unbeatable view from room!
