Super friendly staff, nothing too much trouble including a great parking spot for my bike... Tasty breakfast...

Smart TV wasn't so smart the only available channel was You Tube, which would have been great, except it wasn't tuned in (or connected). Both blinds in the room were broken and had been tied up meaning whoever did that was well aware they wouldn't work and failed to do anything about it. I was able to unravel the cords and blinds and hook them over the broken clips above the windows so at least the room was dark.

This is not a luxury hotel, so once you understand that, you will love the beautiful location with amazing views. A nice quiet place to relax by the water, use the sauna and take a swim. Only a few minutes drive from Ålesund and much better prices than in the ciy center.

The weather was warm and hard to cool off our room, even with the balcony doors open. And our room was right over the veranda/dock, so we could easily hear the people sitting out talking or taking a midnight dip in the ocean.

The location is priceless, next to the fjord and ferry. Beds were comfortable and the floor to ceiling views were beautiful

The property needs a little work, some of the staff were odd and we were told we could only have dinner until 6.30pm. Breakfast was ok but not a fabulous Norwegian spread we have come to love, although the eggs were good.

The location and the area is lovely. The staff were really nice. The room is very spacious and the view was lovely

I don’t believe they have the best cleaners as the sofa was full of hair when we got there but it was not something that ruined our trip and they did not clean the floor at all during our stay. The breakfast was not the best either but kept us going.

The property was easy to find and the room we had booked was lovely. I was very glad to have booked a suite with a view of the Fjord as some of the other rooms appeared to be tiny. Our room felt like it had just been renovated and was fresh and clean. It was very comfortable. Parking was simple (directly outside the hotel) and free. It is also worth noting that the car park and some wharves are directly in front of the hotel (the hotel is not on the edge of the water) and a car ferry is alongside - but the noise from that was minimal.

The dinner menu was a bit basic and the burger was not great. We only ate there the 1st night as we had arrived late and were tired, but certainly went looking for something different the next night. Any other dining options were a 10+ minute drive away.

The blackout of the windows wasn’t good. Our room had a high ceiling and the light from 11PM to 4 AM was very inconvenient as I need an obscure bedroom to have a good rest. The room faced a balcony with chairs and a small table. The problem was that this balcony is shared by all the rooms on that level. So when our “neighbours “ walked along it they could see inside the room. There was no privacy. This hotel is 16km away from Alesund

Anita was fantastic as were all the staff. We stayed a few days and since it was mid week we were upgraded to a second floor room with a view over the harbour. The room was very large and had access to the verandah. The bathroom had been fully renovated and was also quite large. The room had a good sized working desk and the WiFi was easy to access and reasonably fast. The hotel has some magnificent views and is very quiet. Breakfast was pretty good for a Scandinavian breakfast. The beds are large and comfortable. We loved the pillows. Good ones are hard to come by in Norway. Loved the free and easy parking.

There are very few restaurants in the area so if you don't eat at the hotel restaurant you have to drive about 25 to 30 minutes. The hotel restaurant has a very limited menu but what it does have is good quality at very reasonable prices. The new owners are gradually renovating the hotel so some of the photos on Booking.com probably need to be updated. We had an issue with the shower drain blockage but this was quickly rectified by Anita (Receptionist, cleaner, host, plumber and local area guide). The desk power point is a bit hard to access for an old guy like me. Also could use some USB charging points.

The staff were very friendly especially the colleague who did my check in. She offered dinner and I requested a pizza which she made, it was delicious. The room was good, as was the hotel. Car parked right outside, very safe area next to the ferry. Great views from the hotel.

The only thing would be to add more to breakfast like pastries perhaps or fruit.

This is a nice hotel which is right next to the ferry port so very convenient for an early morning crossing. Much better value than hotels in Alesund and with plenty of free parking - it was a good choice. Some things about the hotel are a little quirky but overall it's clean and comfortable. There is a bar and a restaurant with limited choices. Our room was a good size with a small balcony area and a view across the fjord. Breakfast was a bit limited but adequate and the coffee was good.

The location is great with beautiful views and the parking is free and plenty. Very friendly and helpful staff. The standard double room wasn't that great, and the lady upgraded our room. Breakfast was also reasonably good, though not excellent. The price is quite good compared to Alesund.

There are small things like breakfast can be improved or some rooms like ours have small issues (the window was small and too far from bed). But to be honest can't complain much.
