Everything! The staff were so helpful and nice. The bedrooms were lovely, the heat pump was great so we were never cold, they had everything we could possibly need for our 3 nights- most of which we cooked meals. The price is great for what it is. Great view as well! We could see all the mountains, sunsets and sunrises. Highly recommend!

The only 2 things (if I am really nitpicking) would be the fan in the bathroom isn’t strong enough and there isn’t a window so even if you have a warm short shower it steams up and it is hard to breath in there. Also the windows- there is alot so everyone walking past from every angle and every house around will see you so it’s not private at all unless the curtains are shut.

What an amazing place! This is a new property located about half a mile up from the village of Tekapo with lovely views over the mountains. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment and were bowled over by how well equipped it was, how new and clean everything was and how the owner had clearly labelled where things were. The bathroom (shower only) was terrific and clean and big. The living area had a kitchen with a hob, microwave (no oven), fridge, coffee table, settee, desk for working, dining table, large screen TV, excellent free Wi-Fi and good heating. There were also lots of storage areas. The bedroom had a good double bed in it. Free car parking outside. Altogether a lovely place - and good value, although quite pricy at £315 for two nights.

The apartment is very new and clean. Nice kitchen and wonderful huge shower.

No paper towels or kitchen dish towel. You’ve been told in other reviews…so weird to do the dishes but have nothing to dry with. We used toilet paper and bath towels which is just strange. This can be improved. The bed pillows are the biggest, tallest that I’ve ever seen and probably fit very few. We ended up using the couch pillows. Lastly, this rental and all of the rentals here are overpriced. Tekapo is a tiny town with a nice lake, observatory and springs… there really isn’t much here and we didn’t understand the price of accommodation. Next time we would stop and do a couple of things and keep driving.

This place was absolutely adorable and felt like a cozy little apartment! You get your own lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, which made it so comfortable and convenient. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need—pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, and more—basically, everything except the ingredients and food! It’s also located just down the road from Lake Tekapo, making it a perfect spot. The bed was incredibly comfy—exactly what we needed after hiking Roys Peak! Everything was spotlessly clean as well. The host was amazing. When we had internet issues on the first day, she responded immediately and came out to fix it right away. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better.

Everything about the property was perfect, bed was comfortable, walking distance to the lake, restaurants and supermarket. Walking trails and our stargazing experience.

Our only criticism would have to be the location of the lockbox. We spent ages trying to find it on arrival as there was a car parked right in front of it. We also had a knock on the door later that evening with another family also looking for the lock boxes on their arrival as the car was parked there again.

Nice clean facilities, easy check in instructions. Warm aircon going for out arrival. Beautiful view, great communication from hosts prior to check in.

Only thing is it seemed like there wasn’t enough parks for the units and we had to park on the road but possibly another guest had 2 cars?. Parking on the street was fine, visable and safe though

Very new, clean and tidy property. Good bed and great shower. Five minute walk down a small hill to the town centre and eateries. Well equipped property that had everything we required apart from an iron which would have been useful.

The carpark is very tight and our neighbour parked so close to our car that our doors were almost touching. Plenty of parking on the street though. Like other reviews, we didn’t find the couch very comfortable.

PLEASE NOTE - we were UPGRADED (Thank you) to the ALPINE STAR SO THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE ALPINE STAR which is a DIFFERENT PROPERTY. The 3 bed/3bath apartment upgrade was a welcome surprise - The ALPINE STAR was light, clean, spacious and had absolutely everything that we needed for our 2 night stay. It was easy to find and, for walkers an easy stroll to the lakefront and the departure point for the dark sky project tour, 4 square and the church of the good shepherd. Ample towels/nice sheets and pillows, plenty of glasses and cutlery, drying rack, WARM, views of the mountains but not the lake. At the end of a culdesac very quiet. We couldn't get the tv to work but NETFLIX was a bonus so watched a movie one night. Shampoo and body wash provided and the showers were clean and good pressure. GREAT place to stay - as good as a 5 star hotel in our view. The precheck in information was clear and received in good time, we did not require the host during our stay - a booklet about the property was available. If you've turned all appliances off though, please note the oven clock must be working for the oven to work... this stumped us momentarily. Also, one bedroom is alongside the driveway for a property at the back so... perhaps don't throw open the curtains first thing in the morning in the nudey pants. If we were going to Tekapo again, we would certainly consider this property.

Nothing... a small cleaning issue we will take care of with the hosts directly - it did not affect our stay.

The apartment was spacious with a separate bedroom from the living room. Very new and clean too. It helps that the TV was a smart TV which we could log into our Nerflix account!

There was a black out on 1 night and the power went off for several hours.
