We were on a walking holiday - doing long walks in hot weather. Returning to this beautiful hotel was cool in every sense. Lovely high ceilings and spacious common areas and bar. We treated ourselves to a suite which was around £100 a night. Something of similar quality would have cost (at least) twice that in the UK. We used the spa on both days. A great way to relax at the end of a long walk. Not cheap but it is entirely private. It was not high season so it was quiet. The vibe might be different at high season. All the staff were excellent. We speak some very basic Spanish - but they all spoke excellent English.

More towels would have been nice.

What a lovely hotel! We felt so pampered in this beautiful setting. The bed was extremely comfortable, the high ceiling with chandelier was an elegant touch, and the bathroom was extraordinary. We want that shower in our bathroom! Hotel staff were friendly and informative, the hotel bar was a delight, and the breakfast was the best we have had throughout our stays at more than 60 Spanish hotels. We can’t wait to return to this location - and for a longer stay.

I had seen this hotel last year, but it was closed for the season, really happy for the stay this year. Reminded me of the hotels you read about in all those 20's expat novels. A quiet bar downstairs for a drink before supper. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Beautiful location, beaches and the Picos de Europa nearby. Purely by luck we stumbled on to the Feast of Santo Cristo del Amparo, a truly enjoyable rural feast.

Our family recently stayed at this gem of a hotel. I don’t know where to begin… check in was quick, the rooms were very nicely decorated and the elevator was a plus, our daily breakfast spread was delicious and their chef greeted us every morning with a smile. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel and its friendly staff. This stay left our party of 12 wanting come back and stay at this delightful hotel again.

We felt well taken care of from the moment we arrived. We were very tired from a long day of backpacking. The staff went to great lengths to ensure we had all that we needed. The restaurant recommendation across the road from the hotel was the best meal we have had yet during our stay in Spain. The restaurant owner was delightful and extremely creative with her dishes.

Everything in this hotel is perfect. The staff are really lovely including Andre with his superb coffee. The room was beautiful the bed very comfortable, the wet room superb very tastefully decorated throughout. An absolute find where we would definitely stay again. Thankyou to all the staff. We even called in for coffee on our return to Santander.

Nothing it was superb.

Starting with reception throughout our stay, it more than exceeded my expectations. This is very special place to enjoy Asturias and all it has to offer.

Query: is it normal to have a sensor flash all night? This was at the foot of the bed, no sound, but strobe consistently

I really like the serene modern luxury-feel finishes in this remodelled hotel. I liked that I could "cast" from my mobile to the Samsung TV. Quality sundries are provided, the breakfast was vey good, beds were comfy with soft pillows.

No dim-lighting option.

Absolutely everything, this is a beautiful hotel, what an unexpected treat on the Camino, we were looked after so well by Beatrix, she was just amazing. Our room was stunning, fabulous breakfast. All the other staff were equally helpful.Treat yourself to a night here asap.

Absolutely nothing negative to say

Location, beautiful hotel. Beautiful lobby. Affordable. Air conditioning! Very very quiet

The only thing that I just needed to get over was sleeping in a room without a window. A bit clostrophobic at first. But otherwise such a nice room. And it DID have a sky light. In the middle of the night I woke up and saw tons of stars through the skylight, and a shooting start! something I would have missed otherwise.
