Belika sits on a gorgeous spot overlooking a little cove. The rooms are massive and we had a raised bed so woke up to the horizon, the waves and the fishing boats heading home each morning. It’s a cool and quirky design, excellent (and massive) breakfasts, lovely lovely hosts with tons of great suggestions for beaches and places to explore and we fell in love with Foxy the shy hotel dog and Mango the talkative cat 🥰

There is very little not to like. Service is great, loved the design… and perfect location, just a 5 minute walk from Hiriketiya bay with all its beach bars and bustle, but quiet and secluded perched in its own cove. Walking home at night watching fireflies all around was magical..Our room had an outside bathroom which is lovely, but did give us wet toilet paper and towels that we had left hanging outside when the rainstorms decided to descend - but it all dried in the morning😊

Incredible views you can lie in bed and watch the waves rolling in across the ocean. Love the outside bathroom and showers are best we had after a month in Sri Lanka. The pool is lovely and whole place very clean. Staff are nice and very accommodating letting us arrive early and stay after check out. The place feels very different to anywhere else in the area and we loved having one night here as treat after staying in hostels.

The fact you have to pay 1000 rs for water is a bit mean - there was a bottle included in the room but I feel like for the price just get a water filter guests can use.

Belika is no doubt a great option for your stay in Hiriketiya. The room has a very luxurious feel, and the views overlooking the ocean are incredible. The space itself is big, with a safe, fridge and comfortable bed. The location of the property is fine, and is about a ten minute walk into the main part of the village.

We wouldn't consider this a 'Beach Club'. The downstairs area closes around 5pm if I remember correctly, so the atmosphere in the evening is very quiet, which is great if you want peace and quiet (guests are still free to use the pool). We certainly didn't want a party atmosphere well into the night, but I would've expected a later closing time for a 'Beach Club', and maybe a cocktail menu (there's no alcohol sold here). This was the most expensive place we stayed in during our trip, and whilst the room and views are great, I don't think the public area and overall experience justifies the high price tag.

What requires a separate mention: - The owners: fantastic people! very helpful, open and cheerful :) One of the key aspects of the place :) Thank you again for having us! - location: 5-10min walk from the main beach, thank to this you have peace and quite yet the access to surfing spot and parties - Rooms: huge, cean, stylish... with amazing, undistracted view over the ocean! - simply perfect - Food: fresh, tasty, served with great aesthetics and more than you can eat - Atmosphere: relaxed, authentic, calm, you were feeling welcome all the time. Additional perk was how close the hotel was to the nature and how green it was. You could feel like in the jungle in certain moments. - Organization / services: It was best organized and behaved hotel of all in which we were staying in Sri Lanka I would not change anything about the place and certainly, if visiting Sri Lanka again, it will be a place where I would stay. Recommend to everyone.

That I did not stay longer

It can be one of the most interesting hotel,every details are crazy.Location is very good just few mn walking distance to surfing bay hirikatiya beach and blue beach island.Pool,garden very relaxing,quite and amazing ocean view from the room balcony.Thanks a lot for all friendly staff and owners of the hotel they helped us a lot for arranging the tours,transport and other things.highly reccommended

Such a fun hotel to stay at! I booked this hotel for the aesthetic and it did not disappoint. The owner and staff were super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was incredible, the rooms are spacious and the views of the ocean really top it off. It’s not quite in the main part of town but we had a bike so was no problems for us. You could easily walk (5 mins), so I wouldn’t be put off by the location. In fact, it means you have a small little beach all to yourself

Belika Beach Club is a wonderful spot which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a very relaxed, peaceful, well catered for stay. Julien and Kubra are lovely hosts who went the extra mile to make sure we had a lovely stay. It is set slightly out from the main beach on Hiriketiya on a private rocky beach, so it is much more chilled than the more bustling Hiriketiya (though no more than a 12 minute walk there). The rooms were big and comfortable with a/c, and the pool area was great. Julien’s pancakes are fantastic, and people visited just for those! We will definitely be back some day soon, thank you to Julien and Kubra for a wonderful stay 🙏

The lunch menu could have been slightly more varied, but with so many options in Hiriketiya we just ate out most days.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Loved the pool area and the room was so clean and airy with very comfortable beds. The locations was perfect, away from the busy bay but in easy walking distance. They made a real effort with some special touches for our honeymoon which was very thoughtful. We loved staying here and would love to come back :)

I cannot recommend Belika Beach Club highly enough! Absolutely every part of our stay was amazing. We mentioned in our booking we were on our honeymoon so they decorated our room for us. The owners and staff are all extremely welcoming and happy to assist in any way. The breakfast is AMAZING! Best breakfast we’ve had on our trip. The rooms are beautiful but the best part is the view. It feels like you have your own private beach to wake up to every day. The location was great as well because it was just a short walk to Hiriketiya beach/restaurants but was nice and quiet being down the road a bit. We wish we had booked more nights here!
