I booked last minute and didn't have much choice of places so was pleasantly surprised by this place. This is a very low key unassuming place. Clean. Some ants etc. but hard for those not to be there. Helpful staff. Great aircon. Fairly large rooms. Plenty of drying hangers and a wardrobe and hairdryer and shampoo etc. Nice little balcony. One room had a fridge. Small-ish place so pretty quiet. Had a kettle but not sure why it did as no cups so could not make tea or coffee.

Split family opinion here. In one room the bed was way too hard for me but it was OK for my husband and son. One night a guest group had a party in the communal area which kept me awake but the hotel sorted it so it didn't happen again. They were generally good at ensuring things were quieter fairly early after 9pm as the garden is right in front of the rooms. There are a few loungers in the garden, it would have been nice if they had cushions/mattresses on during the day so you can use them to read on or just remove them as they weren't any use, I guess most people are at the beach so maybe no need, I just wasn't sure why they were even there as assume no one would use the bare wooden slats to lounge on....

Bay Hiriketiya is a nice looking accommodation with green space, literally across a small road from the beach. The staff were friendly and the room was really nice, spacious and clean. It’s in an excellent location in the heart of Hiriketiya so you can get from room to beach in about 30 seconds! There are tons of surfboard hire places on the beach but it gets very busy by about 9 or 10am, so I’d recommend going early to beat the crowds and the heat - most of the surf hire opens around 6am and it’s lovely (and cooler) to get in the water then. There are lots of cafes and some shops to explore in Hiriketiya, and you can easily walk to Dickwella beach in one direction and to Blue Beach in the other direction. There is also an ATM and a small supermarket round the corner from the hotel. I would stay here again as it was so central and easy to get everywhere.

We arrived at 2am directly from the airport - they had a phone number there and we called the guy, we woke him up but he was very polite- we stayed only for one night with our 3 years old kid. It was good for a short stay but with young kids not for long, better to have more facilities in the room like refrigerator, kettle etc Of course has a perfect location opposite the entrance of the Hiriketiya beach - if we were just 2 adults we would definitely stayed there - is good value for money Better to have cash with you, as they charge 3% with cards

The location of the hotel is fantastic right on the beach. This is what is mostly worth and what you pay for in this hotel, The rooms were adequate. Good fridge good balcony relatively comfortable beds

They cheat us with the price and overcharged us. We booked 105 euros per night / 117 dollars. they said that because we pay by card it will be 3% on top. that would be 108 euros. In the end they charged us 118 euros, that is 3000 more SRK. so when you visit the hotel be careful with what they will make you pay. The room had ants that appeared as soon as a crumb of bread fell on the floor therefore they have a nest somewhere in the room

Great location!

No shelves in the bathroom. No space to put any personal cosmetics in the bathroom No hooks for towels.

The beach was just a 2 minute walk from the accommodation sadly there is no sea view but the beach being so accessible it was perfect Room was really good quite large and the a/c was perfect

The fact that breakfast was an absurd amount was a let down, i understand that hiriketiya is quite the beach town but for visitors in the hotel it shouldn’t be that expensive

location, staff, value for money. it was our 3rd time staying here and we will go back in 2 weeks.

as mentioned to the staff during check-out, bathrooms need a bit of attention (including thorough cleaning of showers). But overall it’s always great staying here!

Nice hotel, large rooms with a balcony. Right on the main strip very close to the beach and lots of restaurants nearby. Rooms were very comfortable and had all the amenities.

Slightly loud at night (we had noisy drunk neighbours on their balcony so not hotel’s fault) but rooms aren’t soundproof

Location is wonderful Just in front of the beach with parking facility and all the famous restaurants within a minute walk and grocery store with ATM facility

Host demanding cash payment at the time of check in She clearly demands 3% additional payment.if I pay by debt card . So I walked to ATM and got the money and paid her the same moment we arrived there after a 180Km long drive

Minimalistic but had everything that you would need. The room and bathroom was very clean and had products for us to use. The location was perfect within a 1 minute walk to the beach and was also very close to local eateries. The air-conditioning in the room was excellent and very easy to use and kept the room cool.

Could’ve done with 1 more storage cupboard/wardrobe to storage belongings.
