It was fresh and organized. No mess in the breakfast area because someone was serving the eggs, etc.

The only problem was the toaster was broke on one side, so there was a 15 min wait to use the toaster if you wanted to toast your muffin/toast. They should have had 2 toasters (back up toaster) for this reason. Also, we went outside to sit on the patio and we couldn't get back into the hotel because our cards were not working. Other people were also trying to get in and their cards were not working as well. We had to walk around the front to get back in unless someone was walking by to let us in.

Everything met or exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, the room was very clean, and the atmosphere was nice with thoughtful amenities. The outdoor pet areas were the best we've ever seen at a hotel; it was clear a lot of thought and work went into designing and maintaining that feature. The room was lovely with comfortable bedding and mattresses and enough towels/washcloths for our family of 4. The kids enjoyed the pool, which was impressively clean. The lobby area was cozy and had several seating areas and tables for relaxing or working. We were happy to have ample, well-lit parking, working ice machines, and plenty of luggage carts, which many hotels no longer offer. Special kudos to the breakfast staff who helped us find allergy labels/info for the buffet items. This is one of those rare finds where they seem to be doing everything right! It was, by far, the best hotel we stayed in on our recent 2-week roundtrip from the Southwest to Michigan.

We can't think of anything we didn't like. This hotel was fantastic! Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer.

paid for late checkout at 1pm to sleep in after arriving at 3am and being abruptly woken up by housekeeping banging on our door at 9:45 (well before regular checkout time) and slamming our door open (thankfully stopped by the slide latch thing). she came back an hour later, same thing. my boyfriend told her we weren’t checking out yet. she proceeded to wait outside our door that entire time. we started to bring our bags out and she blocked the entire hallway staring at her phone and only looking up to give us go-to-hell looks. great facility and front desk but cleaning crew definitely needs a lesson in courtesy and cleanliness

Update: Cy called and we spoke about everything that happened during my stay. She was very kind and very compassionate about the situation. She has definitely made a horrible situation much better with her kind words. 10 stars!! Thank you Cy, for making this right.

Was attacked by 2 dogs that were off leash that had been staying at the hotel for 30 days. Hotel staff were kind in helping me clean the wounds and did call police for me, however, I was not checked on, was unable to speak to a manager or anything and after I checked out and made it home, was unable to get in contact with the manager at all. Very disappointed. We've stayed in trinidad a lot over the last 5 years and this experience has ruined our home away from home.

Ken the night manager is outstanding. He was so welcoming and accommodating when we arrived at 11 pm. My girlfriend was concerned about leaving things locked in the car but Ken was convincingly reassuring that he monitored the parking lot regularly. "That's what I'm here for" Great personality. All the day staff we dealt with were super too, especially the servers at breakfast. I'll be a customer of the Trinidad La Quinta for life.

Really liked the breakfast. I liked the salsa verde for the eggs and that each breakfast had beans. I liked the piano and decor. I liked the back porch where you can sit and look at the tips of the Spanish Peaks at sunset. I liked the old Trinidad map and the history posters.

I'd recommend adding bran flakes for cereal for us older adults. Lots of cold cereal choices but most were sugary and geared for children.

The Sunday breakfast menu offered a lot of options. It was delicious 😋

Having only select items 'available' was a liitle frustrating. Our second breakfast, the only egg option was a cheese omelette. My husband doesnt eat cheese. He wanted the scrambled eggs. "Sorry, sir that was on the Sunday menu" (this was Wednesday) I wanted the biscuits & gravy I had seen on Sunday. Same answer, not on today's menu. More variety would be nice.

Staff was extra friendly, especially the young lady and gentleman who served breakfast. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean except cobwebs with spiders in bathroom 😳beds and pillows were extremely comfortable

The walls are very thin, you can hear everything and I mean everything! The people in room next to us and across hall were extremely loud, the people in room next to us started fussing, cussing and slamming doors at 4:45 AM!! People across hall were very loud all night, slammed doors .

Every single one of the staff members we encountered were so welcoming and kind. Mr. Ken was the shining star. He welcomed us in late around 11, was super conversational and friendly. When he discovered we were honeymooning, he upgraded us to “the best suite in the building” and it definitely was. The views from 303 were amazing! The facilities were super clean.

Breakfast was good but has some room for improvement, I like that it’s not all entirely self serve but the food just wasn’t very yummy!

Our stay was for two nights for the Rad DirtFest event. The room was lovely and clean, the facilities were excellent. The staff were fantastic, making us feel very welcome and very helpful. In particular Jess at reception was exceptional, no request was too much trouble, making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again when we next visit Trinidad.
