We did the Leopard trail in the Blyder River Canyon with Wendel, our host, who is a great guide and who told us about the trees on the trail and showed us scarvations from the Iron age. It was very interesting. We also did a trip with Wendel to Marieskop, the tallest Mountain in the Canyon, where we had a view of The Tree Rondavels from a different perspective. A hidden gem in the Blyder River Canyon! A great experience. So if you look for something special to do in this area, dont hesitate to contact Wendel, who cany make all arangements, so you get a great experiene that goes beyond your expectations. Nice location, situated in the hills outside of Graskop and therefore super quiet

No wifi reception in my room No mosquito net or hook to hang your own net The gate was at least until 21:00 not looked and able to open by hand from the inside and outside. Should be improve due to security reason Value for money is not as good. 1116 Rand for single traveler. Amount doubles if a second person is added even the room has the space for it. Should be reduced for the second and third people

Location is great! Close proximity to most places to visit while in Lowveld. Literally less than 5mins away from Berlin Falls. We rented the whole place! Each room area have kitchen and braai facilities. Clean room and in good condition. The owner welcomed us so nicely even we checked in late in the evening. Very speedy checking process. I wish we could have stayed more days. Definitely recommended and will stay again soon!

The Thaba Tsweni Lodge is a pretty hotel, which is on the road of the Blyde River Canyon, near the Berlin Falls, on a side street of the main road. The lodge was build by the host itself, an biological ecologist, which can provide guests with useful informations. Every house on the property has parking spots and the garden is very beautiful. There are also informations about tours and activities in that region. The rooms are built like historically old houses, the balcony with the view at the garden is nice. The houses are equipped with kitchens and necessary things. It is an ideal place to take a rest between Pretoria/Johannesburg and Krüger NP.

I missed a plug converter in the room. All of the power sockets are using the 3 thick limbed plugs, which seem to be used in some regions of southern Africa. So using and loading of foreign electric devices could be a problem if you have not the right plug or adapter. The water taps in the house are a nostalgic feature in South Africa, but really impractical. There are always two water taps at the sink: One which provides only hot water and the other one who gives only cold water.

Easy to find, location not far from Berlin Falls, fantastic view of the countryside, comfortable chalet with spacious living area, comfortable bed, hot water in shower and braai outside on the patio. The host, Damian, was a pleasure to meet!

Lights on the front gate are a little bright and maybe blocked some of the stargazing opportunity, but I’d stay again anyway!!

We had a family cottage witch was huge and allowed us to hand with the extended family staying in one of the other rooms. nice setting close to the Berlin waterfall witch is only a short walk away, graskoop is close by. also just 30 min drive to the hikes in blade river canyon

Thaba Tsweni Lodge is very close to Graskop. The chalets are very charming and complete of everything is needed. The owner of the lodge is really nice and gave us precious advices on what to see and what to do in the area. Also, before our arrival he gives full indications for the lodge, more precise and helpful than Google Maps!

Booked because of my friends recommendation, nearly everything was perfect. Especially the beds, which are not so hard as in other accomodations. Very flexible host. Not far to Berlin and Lisbon falls

Moskito net could be helpful to prevent that Moskitos come in, but there haven t been many.

A friendly welcome by the host who gave us some information about the area and things to do. The chalet is quite spacious, had all that we needed, and cleaned daily. Great location as it's closest to most of the attractions, a walk away to Berlin Falls. We enjoyed our stay.

The location was very good for visiting the wonderful scenery in the area. our room had a lovely veranda with views, sunshine, braai, extremely peaceful and very well maintained by the staff. It was roomy, light, good cooker and huge fridge freezer facilities.

it was somewhat dated, I had to ask for a new oven glove as the one supplied was full of holes. More comfortable seating in the lounge would have been a bonus as it got cold and we came in. But this does not detract from being very happy with our stay.
