The value was great. Furniture and carpet is somewhat dated. Most importantly the bed was comfortable. Safe neighborhood.

While the location was good right off the highway and for local restaurants it was somewhat difficult to pull out of the parking lot. Very busy road. I usually don’t complain about free breakfast but it was very very basic. I’ll leave it at that. One plus the coffee was good. Shower pressure was very good. Having said all this I would stay here again.

I wish I could remember the name of the woman that checked us in, because she was the upmost symbol of customer service, hospitality and perfection out of all 3 of the front desk associates I dealt with during our stay. The woman I checked in with, I spoke with during our entire first day and she was the EPITOME of excellence. Super friendly, professional, sociable, just nothing short of perfect.

I personally would've like the ice machine to be closer, or to have more of them for convenience, but considering the fact that I practically got to choose my room with easy access to an external door, I hardly call having to walk a few extra steps a bad sacrifice for ice.

Excellent location - close to I-81

No coffee in room. Budget hotel at a high price. Stayed here for years when it was a Super 8. Quite disappointed in the makeover.

The staff was friendly. The room was clean. They had breakfast in the morning (very basic, but it is Super 8).

I arrived late at night and checked in through a window; but had to walk back outside and enter through a side door. I get keeping staff safe; but the guests should feel safe too. The left side entrance was well lit, but the right side entrance was not - this late night check in set up made me feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. If you don't smoke, a smoking room can make the trip less enjoyable - so doublecheck your booking (pretty sure I didn't book a smoking room, but at 11:30pm you just want a place to sleep.

The location is very near from the highway. Very newly renovated. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Especially Mary helped me revitalize my sleeping Hilton membership and use it for my future plan.

Everything with my stay was good but a hot a Hot WAFFLE maker would be good addition.

Seating for pull out desk didn't work for me, a office style chair would better

This hotel has lovely rooms, nice decor, very clean, and the staff is EXCEPTIONALLY friendly and helpful (specifically have had very good interactions with people running the front desk & working housekeeping). I've stayed in a lot of hotels and motels, especially in the same general price range, and I've paid at least 50% more for hotel rooms that weren't half as good as this Super 8! It's located conveniently next to the interstate at a spot that's in easy access of both Roanoke City, Salem (& Blacksburg just a little longer down 81 South). The hotel is also directly across the road from the Tinker Mountain trailhead. The hike to the top of the mountain is easy enough for most people who are able to walk a few miles with some uphill, just between beginner and a gentle intermediate. Equally close by connected to the same local hiking areas is an access point for the Appalachian trail! Additionally, the building is close to Carvin's Cove, another great hiking spot. At the same time, the Tanglewood Mall area is less than ten minutes down 81-S and downtown Roanoke is a 15-20 min. drive total (approximately, can be longer during heavy traffic times). Despite the proximity to the interstate, the Daleville Super 8 is nicely located on a hill that's away from the direct interstate noise, with lovely landscaping. From my room, I had a view from the side of the property of a lawn with flowering trees leading to the edge of the woods.

We were there for the USA Cycling National Championship race nearby, so had no idea about the area and booked something close by and happen to be Super 8. We got a large room and it worked out very well. The hotel is located next to the Appalachian Trail, so we hiked for few hrs there (crossing the road was not easy!) - that was nice. The property is also located just off the ramp of I-81, so easy access. Good restaurants not too far away. Staff were very friendly and responsive - our fridge was not working, it got changed first thing next day (we arrived late evening, so the handy man was off).

Wish the pool was in working condition as it was very hot/humid weather and we (all guests) could've used it. Breakfast was terrible (what bf?!!!) but the coffee was good.

Nice and clean, beds and bedding are very comfortable, prices are reasonable and I'm always pleased to see homey amenities such as a large screen tv, cable, microwave, mini-fridge, cups for hot and cold drinks, coffee pot with different types of coffee, creamer, etc. There's also always good communication with guests through the information included in the room. These are clearly labeled and do a great job of explaining what guests need to do to arrange for certain things to be done by staff without having to take time out of our schedule to stop by the front desk and request it. Even though they were working with a new system as well as training new staff on it during my check-in, things still went very smoothly and we were checked in quickly and up to our room in minutes. The location is also convenient to a good-sized and well-stocked grocery store and not far from both fast food and casual dining restaurants that I enjoy as well. We really like this place, and will definitely be back again.

I can't say there was anything we didn't like. This is our favorite location when we travel to the area. I've yet to have a negative experience here. They've always been excellent, and the staff has been especially helpful each time.

We had a huge room, recently removated! Great location with 2 good restaurants in short walking distance.

The breakfast was minimal - coffee, muffins, oatmeal and yogurt.
