Excellent breakfast and dinners, far beyond our expectations. Shabu shabu, sashimi, sushi galore etc amongst a wide variety of food to suit most taste for buffet dinner, plus complimentary non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, wine, beer, sake, japanese whisky and brandy at dinner plus in the lounge after dinner. Quiet and serene surroundings despite near to a road, opposite Lawson and near to gas station. V convenient for driving to the tourist sites in Mt Aso. Room is a bit worn out but clean and big for Japanese standards. No wonder it was crowded. Great value for money.

No shower or bath in room but there is toilet and wash basin on suite (at least in western-style rooms). To shower or bath, have to go to a choice of 2 authentic onsens with indoors and outdoor baths. Still the onsens are wonderful for those who love their hot baths in natural surroundings.

The public bath hours and access to next door public baths too. The hospitable staff and large lobby. Appreciate the vouchers to the public bath next to the hotel while we waited for official check in to the rooms. Aldo appreciate the vouchers offered after we checked out to have one last public bath soak before our next train took off. We also appreciated the delicious dinner and breakfast. The best buffet spreads in our trip.

Food was pricey

Breakfast was good, lots of variety. Gorgeous onsen with many baths to soak in at the end of long days exploring the countryside. Note, there is also a Lawson's right across the street from the resort.

I did not realise the room we'd booked had no bathroom - just a toilet and a sink. I suppose most guests have their bath at the onsen area (which was excellent) So guests need to be careful to check if you need an attached bathroom - fortunately there was another room of the same size with an attached bathroom for us to switch to (at an additional fee of course).

Dinner and breakfast. Quite focused on the Japanese, but we were the only Europeans around so can’t blame them 😁. And we love Japanese food. Staff was invariably great, special mention to the gentleman who checked us in around 16:30 on March 8. Some guests found the beds too hard, we thought they were quite comfortable.

No shower in the “bathroom”, just a toilet. And a basin near the entrance of the room. The cabinet below literally falls apart. Time for a refurbish. The heater / airco unit is quite noisy. Nothing to do nearby unless you play golf.

The room has no shower . Very small. Dinner was chalenging as team did not speak anything but Japanese. This is a Japanese family resort not geared for tourist. Onsen was nice and the offer free use of washing machine and complimentary ice cream bas

A very dated and surprisingly basic hotel with little to commend it other than the Onsen.

No in room bathroom facilities. Literally just a toilet and wash basin. The room itself was very dated as was the whole hotel. It would need a significant update to meet the standards of similarly priced hotels we visited elsewhere on our trip.
