The baths!! Ten private semi-outdoor baths for anyone to reserve, one public semi-outdoor bath, one indoor bath and even a foot bath - all filled with beautiful thermal water. What a treat. The rooms were big, the futon very comfortable and the overall atmosphere great. One thing to note - If you're looking for a cozier and more intimate experience, try places like Kurokawa (seems to be more expensive though), since Yumeoi-so is quite large with facilities like table-tennis, gift shop, karaoke etc. and caters well for families with children, so a part of the quiet elegance of a traditional ryokan disappears. But it's very worth it nonetheless.

Amazing and friendly staff - we were impressed that they can remember your room number handling your key back even if the staff is different. I would say the image does not do justice to how wonderful the place is. We book the Japanese style and for two people, the room was big, enough for your luggage. They have free coffee (Yume coffee), you can also have private bath ( highly recommend to try them out), karaoke booth, ping pong tables. Their morning buffet has lots of variety as well and it was delicious.

Laundry is located near the Lawson convenience store, which is a couple of mins of walk away, wish it was located in the building itself.

The evening BBQ buffet was very nice and the food was qualitative. The bedroom was beautiful, we liked the private onsens. The yukatas were nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Something important to know for people who would like to book this place: this is NOT a small ryokan, this is a big resort with a lot of rooms and a huge dining room. We (a French Dutch couple who does not have a lot of experience with japan) were surprised when we arrived, we expected something much smaller and traditional.

A nice comfortable stay at a lovely property staffed by helpful and friendly people. They were nice enough to change our booking to one that has a semi open air private bath attached to our room. There are a few private baths you can use as well across the road. Convenient to head out for dinner, with quite a few good choices of restaurants. Parking was a little of a squeeze though, there were no lots left when we arrived but they were nice enough to let us park at the lots reserved for EV cars. There is a river running across in front of the property, we took a nice morning walk along it. I would recommend this stay.

The very best Ryokan, I've ever stayed in. The staffs were friendly and very helpful. Room was super comfy with a private outdoor bath, very spacious. There were 10 private onsens to choose from, which required no reservation, and also public onsens situating indoor and outdoor to enjoy. The buffet breakfast and especially dinner were outstanding with a great variety, including beef yakiniku, steaks, free-flow beers, what a delicacy! Worth every Yen spent. There were also gashapons, claw machine games, table tennis to enjoy, and a small mini mart to shop from. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Definitely with recommend this place, and will visit again, cheers!

Yumeoi-so is a fantastic family-friendly ryokan that we absolutely loved. The ground floor features a small play area for kids, perfect for families like ours while waiting to check in. They also offers free coffee, massage chairs, and the option to book a private family onsen in advance, which was a highlight. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the dinner buffet offers a great selection. The BBQ is especially noteworthy, with top-notch, fresh, and delicious ingredients. We also loved that they have staff onsite cooking noodles and making onigiri, adding a personal and interactive touch to the meal. Free-flow beer is another big plus. For added fun, there’s a small night arcade on the hotel floor where kids can enjoy arcade games. The hotel is packed with entertainment, making it easy to stay fully relaxed from check-in to check-out. Highly recommended for families!

We chose to stay at Yumeoi-so due to it's location and the convenience to visit nearby landmarks. When we arrived we discovered that it is a really lovely place to stay with large rooms and a friendly front desk. While most rooms do not have private bath or shower there are many really nice private shared onsen, I wish we had more time there to see them all! The buffet dinner was also a very special experience with a private room and a very high quality selection of food which I highly recommend.

It was a lovely traditional Japanese style hotel. Especially, it was super awesome to be able to reserve the room with the private hot springs in the balcony. It was not cheap, but it was definitely worth paying for as my wife and I could get into hot springs at any time we wanted. The staff was very polite, and the room was comfortable. It was nice to be able to choose different designs of yukata lobe. The breakfast buffet was very nice as it had many different varieties of food. We highly recommend to experience this beautiful place.

The only thing is that anyone who stays at this hotel definitely needs a car to have an access. There are a few restaurants around, but it may be better to have an option of having dinner at the hotel. Otherwise, there is a convenience store a few minute walk from the hotel.

The Yakata you get to choose at arrival are very nice, cozy and very Japanese. Everyone walks around in them. The private Onsens are super nice and it's a great way to experience a onsen as a couple.

Considering that it's a 4-star hotel, two things considerably drag down the overall experience. One is the futon/mattress which is traditional Japanese and that's fine, but at this hotel is so thin that you can feel the floor through the mattress and it hurts the bag and hips when you sleep. Second, I think at that price, the teacups in the room ought to be real cups and not plastic both for the experience to be more genuine and to protect the environment.
