Beautiful hotel surrounded by nature. Room was stylish and spacious, looking out into a private garden. There was a private outdoor onsen connected to the room as well. The locally sourced food was amazing and served in a private room with a garden view. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Various English explanations for the course menu, hotel and surrounding area. Free parking.

food for both dinner and breakfast were great. the hotel also checked in with us beforehand if we eat horse meat, and it can be switched to other types of meat (e.g. beef) if one does not consume horse meat. room was a good size and comfy, there was a toilet and shower in the room. there are 2 private onsens available for use, can book the timeslot you want when you check in, one room was only entitled to reserve one timeslot per night's stay, each timeslot is 45min.

water that came out from the room sink was cold. when we arrived at the ryokan to check in, most of the slots for the private onsens were taken up already, so it's advisable to reach earlier to check in.

Top service and attention. Really was a unique dining experience and the chef made a lot of effort to accommodate our dietary preferences. We had private dining breakfast and dinner. The onsen was nice but the private onsen in our room was the most memorable. Room was very large.

The only thing we might have liked were a few more amenities which we had experienced elsewhere like welcome treats and light snacks in lobby or rest area.

Everything about my stay here was wonderful. The room is beautiful, very spacious, comfortable beds. The private kaiseki dinner was delicious. I even tried the horse sashimi. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous dining area. This ryokan is so elegant and tastefully decorated. Staff are superb.

Our stay was in early December and I can’t thank their staff enough. They were so friendly and nice, helped us to get the taxi and being extremely helpful for everything. We are so touched by the services. The room and everything were nice. There was a private Onsen you can use for free once during the stay. The breakfast was good too with Aso milk. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend this!

Lovely room, wonderful breakfast and dinners, and warm and professional staff. They were able to accommodate some dietary requests (pescatarian) with no problem. A peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We asked for western style beds and we got it, in all three rooms. Meals were good. The waiter serving our meals was really good, patient polite and helpful.

The Onsen was small relatively speaking, comparing to other hotels in the area.

We had a very nice big room with our own onsen bath. The hotel was sparkling clean and well maintained.

The vegetable served in the set dinner was very fresh. Unfortunately the sashimi and sushi tasted quite bland.

Very good and traditional cultual environment, good place for taking child for experiences. Nice spa!
