The chateau was beautiful and Claire was an excellent host. Not only did she go above and beyond with some extra special treats for us as we were on our honeymoon, she gave excellent recommendations. She was very kind and patient as we spoke little (and poor) French. We had dinner cooked by Claire during our stay and it was very good. Breakfast each morning was also a nice treat before we went exploring for the day. The location is fantastic if you are a New Zealander wishing to visit the NZ Liberation Museum in Le Quesnoy, or the French countryside. The Chateau was stunning, authentic, and I loved the decor and furnishings. I felt like I did go back in time which is exactly what I was hoping for.

It was a magical experience to stay at Château d'en haut. You can immerse yourself in the history of a castle from the 1700s by exploring the many corridors and stairs and have a stroll on the castle grounds, knowing that also Napoleon was once here. The ambience and hospitality were amazing. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and felt very French. The wine was wonderful.

A shower curtain in the bathroom and something to make sure people in the garden don't see you standing in the shower right in front of the large window would be great. Otherwise, no complaints at all.

Very French, with huge rooms and high ceilings. Surrounded by tall trees and large gardens. We felt like we had stepped back a few centuries, but had the modern comforts and conveniences to hand.

Steep stairs were a bit difficult for us retirees. Waze has the instructions for finding the site all wrong despite the hostess’s attempts to correct the situation. You must enter from the little town of Jenlain. There’s no entry from the slip road back onto the expressway!

Wow, beautiful place with a lot of character. Well maintained garden as well. Breakfast in a lovely castle diner and sleeping in a cozy room with respect for the original architecture.

Our host was charming and VERY helpful. The chateau is charmingly original in most respects, with modern facilities that mesh nicely with the period fixtures and fittings. Host was extremely helpful, delightful evening meal and breakfast 👌.

An automatic message to enter Chateau de Jenlain in a Satnav is needed. If you enter 'Chateau d'en haut' you don't arrive at the entrance, leading to a local detour, 😁

Truly authentic chateau in the French countryside. Bought local fare from the little village and had a picnic on the property to enjoy its beauty. Breakfast was great with locally baked bread.

Was a perfect place to stop on the last night of our holiday. The host was very welcoming & friendly. We arrived on motorbike after 9pm, there was a bar in the town for some food L’Original just a 10 walk away. Our room was delightful, good value. Continental breakfast was very good. We would recommend & would definitely stop here again.
