The dorms and private rooms are immaculate, with comfortable beds, ample storage, and thoughtful amenities. What truly sets this hostel apart, however, is its management. The hostel is managed with a level of professionalism and attention to detail that is rare to find. From the moment I checked in, I felt valued and well taken care of. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with any questions or needs. They go above and beyond to ensure guests have a pleasant stay, offering tips on local attractions, organizing social events, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. A special mention must go to the manager, Shiv. His dedication and passion for work shine through in every aspect of the hostel. I recently stayed at Shalom Backpackers in Mussoorie, and it was a delightful experience. The rooms are impressively spacious, providing plenty of room to relax after a day of exploring the hills. Nothing, it's all perfect!

We are in the over 55 age bracket travelling about and don't normally book backpackers. Shalom staff were extremely welcoming, it is comfortable, clean, friendly and in a great location. There are sociable spaces and also areas to sit quietly and enjoy the excellent views across the valley. The staff are knowledgeable about the area and fun. We highly recommend

I had a wonderful stay at Shalom Backpackers! It’s a nice and cozy hostel with a rooftop that offers an amazing view perfect for relaxing. The rooms were clean and fresh, which made the stay even more comfortable. Special thanks to Bablu, the head chef and café owner. His experience truly shows in the delicious food and smooth café operations. A big thank to Gaurav Sharma, the Property Manager. He was incredibly helpful and clearly has a lot of experience in hospitality. Thanks to him, everything at the property ran seamlessly. I hope the management continues to maintain the same standard in the future. Looking forward to staying here again!

It was a perfect location in Mussoorie, everything was very nearby. The staff were super helpful and chatty, and there was some live music on the roof one of the evenings. The staff at the desk gave us great recommendations for where to eat and places to visit! The room was large with big comfy beds and a water heater in the bathroom

I rarely ever give any property a full 10. But i give Shalom an 11! 1. The rooms: So clean, spacious, bright! The bedding was very comfortable, the switches and sockets were well-planned. The television was fully functional. Multiple light settings for all use cases. 2. Bathroom: Clean - spotless and Spacious, good quality fixtures and set up. 3. Restaurant: Honestly, the food was so good that I didn't actually need to eat out. The only reason i went out was because I wanted to try other restaurants - but really, there was no need to. So fresh, tasteful and clean. 4. Location: Right at the beginning of Mall road - near Picture Palace, which is the better part of Mall Road. Can easily go to Landour from here. The bus station is here too. 5. Views: Despite being in the center of town, it offers spectacular views of the hills around. 6. The staff: Incredibly hospitable and friendly. I've never seen a manager like Ankit - so friendly, and happy and cheerful. Extremely passionate about making his guests feel comfortable - from even before you check in! He makes you feel so at-home at the property, you actually forget you're at a hotel/backpacker stay. He interacts with everybody, and even helps create connections between travellers. The whole vibe ends up being incredibly friendly, warm and homely. And at the same time, he ensures all rules are followed and the property is running without a hitch. Shalom truly found a gold mine of a manager in Ankit.

The property is impressively well-maintained, and even though I booked a dorm, it was clean, comfortable, and exceeded my expectations. The host was incredibly welcoming, specially Ankit making sure we felt right at home and addressing any requests promptly. His attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction really stood out. For anyone looking for a great stay without breaking the bank, I highly recommend Shalom Backpackers. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
