I liked that it was a couple of minutes out of downtown. There was plenty of parking and easy access to the room with a keycode; I didn't need to check in with the receptionist face-to-face. Our communication was via email and text. She was very fast with getting back to me. It was quiet and clean and I felt safe in this neighborhood. The bed and pillows were nice and soft.

The carpet was a little bit outdated and had a couple of stains. In the early morning and late evening, you can hear the train coming through downtown Mt. Shasta City, but this is something the hotel can't help, you will probably hear it in every motel, hotel or apartment you stay at in Mt. Shasta City. I would advise bringing your earplugs. I only slept here one Sunday night, so I don't know if the train comes through every day.

Great price and quiet stay. While check-in/out is done remotely, there is staff on sight to help with any needs. The WiFi was great, loved that the rooms had a microwave and mini fridge. Rooms are good size and love the vinyl plank flooring. It was so clean. Plenty of parking.

For a little inn, it checks all the boxes.

Rooms are pretty basic but it checks all the boxes for what you need in a motel, at a reasonable price. Easy check in, plenty of parking, code to get in the room made it super easy, heater worked great and it was clean.

Bed was a little firm for me. Shower was small.

Love The Pine Needles Inn! Seems like time standing still, in a small alpine town, family-owned, & recently renovated. The area is near majestic landscapes, pristine waters, and safe community. Great first-overnight-stop on the way from Seattle, WA, to San Luis Obispo, California. Highly recommend!!

First time staying here and it exceeded my expectations. Very clean and comfortable, fairly large room. Really good WiFi (necessary for my work)! Pretty quiet area and just out of the central area of town.

Freezer wasn't cold enough to refreeze the ice pack I put in overnight.

Remote check in, great internet, comfortable beds. Clean and simple. Has your necessary amenities and a microwave. Some of the nicest hotels don’t have a microwave so this was great to munch on my leftovers.

My picky friends considered the AC too loud, but honestly, these are pretty standard models, like everywhere else. Personally, I was OK with the loudness.

The staff was very nice. Everything was perfect. Microwave, coffee maker, fridge.
