Great location, comfortable bed, clean hotel, friendly staff. Especially the security staff and concierge staff helping with suitcases were super friendly and helpful. Also it was a pleasant surprise to get a dessert with a happy birthday wishes.

It was annoying that most common things like towel, bottled water, etc are per request. I booked a king room for two people but everyday it was only one towel, one small bottle water, etc… it was not the end of the world but it was very inconvenient and annoying :(( . Especially at the first nights when I needed to take medication at night. Eventually I just purchased big bottles of water. Also I didn’t like the hookah place at the first floor. I just don’t like hookah smell.

I had chosen a corner room on the eleventh floor so I had extensive views in two directions and a larger bathroom... it definitely felt more like a suite than a 'room'. I had purchased an option to include breakfast, and having the great buffet there every morning on the top floor with views stretching over the city on three sides was the best way to start any day! Given the situation in Ukraine currently, having a very secure shelter on the premises was comforting. too.

I would not have changed a single thing about my stay, and look forward to going back as soon as I can! Staff is friendly and helpful, The rooms were VERY quiet, the location is perfect, with only. a short walk to a major metro station, among many other things.

The hotel is splendid - ticks all the boxes for four stars and beyond. Central location, service-oriented and friendly staff, quality and size of rooms, quality of overall services and facilities, well-functioning air conditioning, and more. Given the difficult circumstances in Kyiv with daily power blackouts and air raids, the hotel is a perfect and safe place to stay given its power generator backup and private basement shelter. The staff were also very helpful when I had to extend my stay and wanted to keep the same room.

The price of the same room has soared since last year. Probably because of Ukraine's considerable inflation and increasing costs due to the war.

The new concept of the restaurant based on high-end French cuisine is a catastrophe. If you are a typical hotel guest, working for a foundation, as a reporter or being a businessman, you want/need to eat something when you return back to the hotel tired and hungry. If the hotel had one more restaurant that would cater to the needs of an average guest, I would not say a word. But it doesn't. The hi-end French cuisine with miniscule portions and limited choice is unacceptable in a hotel as the only possibility where to eat.

A really good option in one of the best parts of Kyiv city centre. Clean and well equipped. Super comfy beds. Well maintained, easily reachable bomb shelter, which is always a big plus.  Finally, room service works 24/7 and serves some proper food! Unlike in most places in the EU, in this hotel you'll not stay hungry after 23:00 no matter what. I think it's truly amazing  :)

Couldn't decrease the heating level myself as there was no usual regulator on the radiator. Was a bit too warm in the room by my taste but I'm a cold- loving person :)

The bed was super comfortable. Pleasant breakfast with fantastic view.

Noise cancellation between rooms could be improved – we heard our neighbors. There was just one chair on a balcony and one bottle of water though the room was booked for two people. As a compliment for my birthday, I was told I could pick one of three options. When I asked for a compliment, 2 of 3 options were unavailable. And they're food/drink options. So, I received a small "plate" with fruits without any serving – no knife, even ZERO napkins. How was I supposed to eat kiwi? It's a shame, not a compliment. Better NO COMPLIMENT than this.

I have known this hotel for many years and it remains at the same very high level even in these troubled for country times. Very kind staff, tranquil environment, relaxed atmosphere, comfortable equipped quiet room. As for me City Hotel perfectly embody reliability and good taste, has no fault.

The breakfast at 10am should be without "empty trays", consider unacceptable to ask the staff there for a few boiled eggs and to hear the answer "sorry, it will take around 15min". For 16Eur should be more variety of quality meals. We have had breakfast only once there, the next days preffering to move to a cafeteria around. It was our one day experience, possible that day was like an exception at the hotel:)

Great value for money. The personnel were great. Location is amazing, very close to City center and many attractions, close to shops and banks. Parking was provided without cost. The restaurant Matisse is great. It has a very well set and secure shelter, which is as comfortable as it can be.

Great stay overall. Minor details to improve: no full body mirror. No hair balsam.

Really happy with my experience staying here over a 2 week period. Everything to expectation but also worth noting the basement shelter is good and staff is responsible and helpful with regard to the security situation - unfortunately a pretty important thing at the moment.

No complaints really. Climate control in the room was a bit tricky but not a significant issue
