This is a great place to stay to access the Caminito del Rey. Ardales is a lovely village with kind and friendly people, including all the staff we met at the apartments. The set up is great, decent sized apartments off a courtyard with space to sit outside under shade. Good to have access to the pool although it is very small and can only take a few people. Decent sized kitchen with enough equipment to make basic meals. All was very clean.

I suspect they are doing up the apartments slowly and the one we stayed in definitely needed updating. The decor is looking a bit tired and dated! It also smelled of cigarette smoke and there was a big ashtray inside - I think it should all be no smoking inside the apartments. The lighting is a bit dingy. But for the price, I thought it was great

Great apartment - unfortunately didn't have time to use much as arrived, went for dinner in town, slept then left early morning for hike. No issues though & everything looked good ' just wish we had longer to stay & use facilities etc. Free parking on street or €7 for secure hotel underground parking. Close to supermarkets & restaurants. Overall excellent accommodation option.

Only issue is unclear reception location- used directions from booking.com which took to main street near car parking - has big name sign & smaller sign with opening times etc (0900-2200) yet despite arriving before 5pm it was shut. No response to multiple buzzers or message via booking.com app. Got bored & fed up so walking around area saw another entrance with same sign etc & open door for reception. Think just need sign on front advising to go back onto side street / other side of building etc so people are aware to look or updated on booking.com as when using direct link I'd assume correct. In total had waited 33min to check in so wasnt happy although once checked in, everything great.

Location is great, easy to find on the edge of Ardales and literally 200 yds from most of the bars and restaurants in the town. Parking is very easy, loads of spaces at the back of the property but you always have the option of their own underground car park too. One tip: you can see the property from the road, it’s on the left if you’re heading off the A357 towards El Burgo, slightly elevated with a sign for its own car park. The whole property is kept spotlessly clean, with lots of nice areas to sit and chill out, including a small rooftop pool. Well equipped apartment, good air con and comfortable. We couldn’t really fault it.

Check in took a little while but it was worth the wait.

Good location in a very picturesque village

Overall it was very clean but there were some areas which could be better- the TV remote was very dusty and our flat had a little courtyard with a table and chairs - that also didn’t look like it was cleaned for a while. The pool and jacuzzi looked a bit run down as well (plus, we were expecting the water in the jacuzzi to be warm but it was freezing cold). Apart from that, the general cleanliness was good.

A quiet, pretty block of apartments, in centre of Ardales. Staff very helpful you might need to ring them before arrival as they are not always there. Our room was one of the smallest but very comfortable. Great for visiting the area. As it was January the small rooftop enclosed pool was closed but it looked very pleasant. Ardales is a lovely mountain town. On Mondays the Caminito del Rey is closed, therefore almost everything else is closed so there was limited choice of restaurants on our evening there. In the morning the place was buzzing with walkers and the breakfast restaurant near the hotel was great and we sorted our packed lunch at the local supermarket. Interesting little museum in the village too. Great.

No complaints, but a mirror in the bedroom would have been useful!

Wow. What a find! I have never stayed in such a great apartment. Perfect location in the centre of town with many bars and restaurants seconds away and easy driving distance to Caminito del rey. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Full kitchen with everything you need and a little private terrace with patio furniture. Parking, gym, pool and sun terrace, jacuzzi We didn't have time to use all the facilities but we will certainly be back. 10 out of 10!!

Nothing. Cannot fault anything.

Apartment was comfortable and clean. Had the basic necessities for our stay. There is a lift which was great, so we didn't have to drag bags up stairs! Nice pool area on the roof. Found easy free parking in the street and great position if you are doing the Caminto Del Rey walk - only 25 mins drive. Very small village and not much else to see.

The bed was small - only a double size.

Apartamentos Ardales is a small cozy place in the very heart of the town of Ardales. Honestly, when I booked it, my intention was just to have a nap there for a night. Actually Ardales is a calm small town where you could stay to take a rest from the busy spanish cities. We arrived by car and parked it on the street. The hotel offers a parking with their own garage for just 7 euro. We stayed in a room on the 2th floor with a wanderful view to the hill. The room was actually a studio with its own bathrrom and kitchen. It was large enough and there was a lot of space for two persons. As I said we stayed there just for a night to take our way to EL Caminito del Rey the next day. Definitelly it worth the adventure. The start point is just a half an hour from the town of Ardales by car. I will vistit this place in the future if I have chance.

Location, bed, apartment VERY clean, sun loungers, even in february we could enjoy the sun

Check in was difficult and very slow. Hostess said she spoke English but she did not. Thereby she spoke very soft. We could not hear her behind the window. We needed help of other guests. Normaly we do not have problems to check in even when it is in Spanish. Shower in the bath. For eldery might be difficult. Apartment a little dark in february.

Very new, spacious and comfortable appartment in a nice town. Safe parking in the garage, a pool on the roof and a great bed. 20 minute drive to the Caminito parking and visitor center.

The appartment has a kitchenette, but there are not a lot of utensils and cutlery, so don't expect too much. Had to wait some time at the reception as no one was there on arrival.
