Everything. The owner and his family were very welcoming. They assisted with just about anything we requested and provided information that helped to make the stay enjoyable. Breakfast was good and plenty. The bed was comfortable, and the room was cleaned(swept) daily. Bedroom linen and towels were changed daily.

Lighting. It was darker than we expected, but I understand that this was due to the fact that it was a cave.

It is best value for money around this part of Cappadocia. Nicely located, luxury appointed rooms that are actually built in the rock in the 350 year old villa that is absolutely gorgeous. Terrace and the view, the sheer tranquillity of the place is amazing. Staff and owner are extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast was very nice, try omelet with mushrooms. Also the hotel can book your for balloon ride or any other attraction you could desire.

Be aware it is in the rock, so rooms are by definition very humid. And they shed debris all the time. Also it is vast area so you would need a car and a driver if you really want to explore freely. In general Cappadocia is remarkable and this is probably one of the best place to stay around Nevshehir area, but even with ever expanding high quality infrastructure it gets a bit overpriced. That is why for to town Urgup and get your coffee in Mackbear or wonderful food in Antep Sofrasi right next door for half a price you would pay in the hills.

First of all, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the cave room it’s a experience that you definitely should have, and here was exceptional. The staff at the hotel is very helpful and kind, always available to help with our needs. The room was cleaned everyday and decoration was a 10/10, the breakfast was super rich and delicious. Thanks Uluç and all the staff that took care of us during our stay!

Nothing to complain.

Staff were kind and attentive to every request. Amethyst room was an exquisite cave with a perfect layout. Fireplace and Hammam platform was a definite bonus. Breakfast was superb and authentic. Terrace view was breathtaking. We felt very welcomed and cared for.

The layout, comfortable beds and big bathrooms. The breakfast was amazing.

The place is nice, the rooms are nice, the breakfast is good (although you will be served the same food every day and your dietary requirements will be mostly ignored), but in my opinion the quality of the service is way below what you expect for the price you pay. I must say that one young gentleman serving breakfast was exceptionally nice (the others barely speak English and seem to be bored by their job).

I booked a “superior suite” via Booking but was offered a “superior room” when I arrived. I could upgrade to one of the suites if paying more money in cash. Paying by card would increase that price even more. After some discussion we got a “royal suite” and I ended up paying 1800 EUR for 7 nights (two people, breakfast included, adding one extra night). To be fair, the “royal suite” is also an upgrade of a “superior suite”, so part of that extra money is expected. However, I felt like that I did not receive the suite I booked in the first place, which forced me to upgrade and pay more. Not nice. While checking out I had to pay the equivalent of 16 EUR for our morning coffee, although breakfast is included. We did not take any coffee on the first morning and we skipped two breakfasts as there is no option of having even a sandwich if you leave the hotel before breakfast time. When you spend 260 EUR per night, I think you can expect some free coffee for breakfast (only tea is included). My wife had to wait 1h45min to be served her breakfast while I was away, although she was there at 8:30am (so when breakfast starts). Not acceptable. If you do not request the room to be cleaned, it will not be. Again, for 260 EUR per night I expect the room to be cleaned every day without me having to ask for it, and water/instant coffee/tea fully replenished (done only if you ask). This especially because of the inherent nature of a “cave” room: walls and ceiling constantly loose sediments, which is totally fine/expected but needs extra care to not have your bed sheets and the ground covered with dust/fine gravel. We only received a very small bottle of soap (for two people) when we arrived, which was used for 2-3 showers. We had to ask twice to get more soap and shampoo. Finally, it’s really nice to have a fireplace in the room, but you are kind of discouraged to use it unless it is very cold and only for a limited amount of time (and operated by the hotel staff)...
