Great location. Spotless room. Really comfortable. Staff really helpful and friendly. Ample parking.
It was really noisy. The hotel is set in a quiet village. However the hotel on the Friday and Saturday night that I was there. Was really busy, and really noisy. The room I was in was situated at the front of the building, overlooking the pub garden. However for me, the noise of the crowds and the 80s music that was blaring out for the best part of the afternoon - 11pm ish was too much for me. I was really hoping for a quiet stay, where I could relax and unwind. However even with headphones on, I could not drown out the noise. After 11pm and before the bar opened was delightful and really relaxing. If you enjoy a bustling, and lively bar in the evenings serving a great selection of food. This is definitely the place for you.

Our stay at the Bramley House was a wonderful way to end our time in the UK. Our only regret was not being able to arrive earlier and experience more of the town during the day. We stayed in Room #8, which was cozy but well-equipped for a very comfortable stay. The bar downstairs was lively in the evening, but even with our window opening above the outdoor seating area, the noise was never a problem—it quieted down completely by around 10 p.m. The room came stocked with plenty of amenities, including soaps, tea, coffee, and some surprise treats. The included breakfast was easily the best full English breakfast we had during our trip! This isn’t a hotel with a tiny kitchen—it’s a proper restaurant that also offers accommodations. The surrounding town is very walkable, with a large grocery store just a pleasant 10-minute walk away through charming streets and neighborhoods. The staff we met were warm, friendly, and welcoming. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
The only small challenge was figuring out how to check in when we arrived during a busy time—it wasn’t immediately obvious where to go. We simply spoke with someone behind the bar, and they quickly connected us with the right person to get us checked in. It ended up being a very easy process with friendly staff—just know you can ask anyone if you arrive when it’s busy.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was nicely furnished, comfortable, clean and well equipped, e.g. hair dryer, tea & coffee making facilities, etc. There was ample on-site free parking, and the breakfast was very enjoyable with a good menu of options including cooked breakfast, and you didn't feel rushed. The dining room and bar area were nicely decorated. The room was very quiet after 11pm; very little noise from outside despite being in the town centre. This was a really good choice for an overnight stay.
Our room was above the dining room, so the music coming up from below was a bit intrusive during the evening and in the morning (presumably when breakfast serving began). Some of the furnishings, although clean, might benefit from a bit of refreshing, including the stair carpets.

The hotel was set in a lovely area, a small market town with a village feel. Lovely traditional property that had been recently updated. It was beautifully decorated throughout and our courtyard room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Perfect for our stay. We found the hotel extremely welcoming, as both the owners and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. We had both breakfast and dinner during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed both. The full English breakfast was exceptional and both my pizza and my partner’s home made curry were delicious. All food is cooked fresh to order and the hotel’s bar is well stocked. We can highly recommend the hotel for its excellent facilities, food, friendliness and level of service. It is extremely good value for money both in terms of the room rate and food and drink. I would not hesitate to stay again.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

The Bramley House hotel is a small comfortable hotel in the centre of Chatterris. It has about 10 rooms, a dinning room and bar. We stayed over night, the room was very comfortable, TV, bed side lights, power points with USB sockets, nicely decorated, very clean and a nice on-suite bathroom. Breakfast was included in our price and we had an excellent English breakfast. The bar and restaurant is open in the evenings, I had a drink and a small meal in the restaurant very good. Staff and owners are very helpful and friendly. Car park at rear. Shower worked and was quite warm enough, but I thought the pressure could have been a little higher for me.
Shower worked and was quite warm enough, but I thought the pressure could have been a little higher for me. Stair case carpets are a little marked. Bed was a double, we prefer larger, but quite adequate.

The hotel was fantastic value for money including a great breakfast. It is in a perfect location in the centre of the town with parking on site. The staff were great and welcoming. We ate dinner at the hotel which was also good.
The main lighting in the bedroom was not very bright so made room a bit dull (some bulbs were missing). The room was very warm and the windows have restrictors, however they do provide a fan. The bathroom was clean and functional but is in need of updating with the shower having a very low pressure.

The staff at the Bramley House Hotel are very welcoming and helpful. There is parking but not always a space as used by residentail guests and those using the dining room and bar. Spaces did become available later on in evening which was fine for us. We had a top floor room and as previous reviews state it was warm, however there was clearly information in room about a fan in wardrobe should it be required. The rooms are nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. There is tea and coffee in room which was appreciated in the evening. Breakfast is excellent and gluten free was available.
Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy food in evening as the restaurant was only open until 8pm. We were offered pizza first night as kitchen was just closing unfortunately as I am gluten free we couldn't eat there. The manager did offer us cutlery and use of the restaurant tables if we wanted to get food from any of the take out restaurants in close proximity to the hotel which we thought was a kind offer. My only other issue was the water power in the shower which was not great but water was hot.

Very comfy bed. Spacious room Lovely staff Fab breakfast.
Lacking mirrors. Only one 6 inch round mirror. No full length mirror or even one to use while doing your hair. Not ideal when getting dressed up for a function. Mentioned to staff but response was that they don't use full length mirrors themselves and that most of the rooms have them. Not sure why a hotel would only put mirrors in some rooms. Would still stay here again and plusses far outweigh the lack of mirrors.

Central location with easily accessible parking. The room was spacious with a shower en suite. Very comfortable. It's not a huge selection for breakfast but a good variety, plus a selection of cereals and juices for those who don't want anything cooked. TV and tea/coffee in the room as well. There are plenty of sockets for chargers, etc, next to the bed. Staff are friendly and check in/out was easy.

Friendly, attentive service, with reasonably sized, clean, pleasant rooms. Good food, including in restaurant, with veggie options. Pleasant ambience, with attractive outside area. Private parking. Area is reasonably busy, with a few other pubs, quite a few attractive historic buildings, and some shops. Good value for money.
Nothing major. The shower gel had either run out or the dispenser didn't work. The bed sagged a bit, and the door to the bathroom got a bit stuck. Wifi was variable on the top floor.
