Couldn't fault our stay. We were extremely welcomed into the motel with wonderful front counter staff. The rooms were warmed and ready for us. The rooms were clean, comfortable and cosy. The beds were also comfortable. The restaurant for dinner had amazing service, its very rare these days to have table service (usually just QR codes), so it was extremely refreshing and all staff were polite and professional. The setting near the fire made our night. The communal areas were beautiful with fires and couches. Would highlight recommend to anyone to stay here. The onsite gallery was also a great feature.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were genuinely interested in how our day was and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are a little outdated but clean and comfortable Our dinner at Altitude Restaurant was outstanding and little Hayley is absolutely divine. She is a delight and looks after all the guests. it started snowing during dinner which was lovely but waking up to a Winter Wonderland was the icing on the cake. After many years in the industry it was lovely to see the staff not only interacting with guests but how they spoke of each other and their Manager. A true credit. we highly recommend staying.

This is only a few hotels located at Cradle Mountain and was very comfortable. Easy to locate and lots of parking. Each room has a beautiful view of the landscape and the food at the restaurant was out of this world! Each dish was delicious. Whilst the hotel was built in the 80s and the bathrooms are outdated, it was a very comfortable stay and excellent value for money. The biggest highlight was seeing the local wombat cross at the wombat sign at the hotel!
Our toilet was playing up but we reported it, went out for the day on our walks, and was fixed. Saying that the bathroom and especially the toilet/shower do need a good renovation. The breakfast has a good selection of food, however the 'hot' food was very hot when we got there which was only 8am!

The staff went out of their way from check in to make sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Special mention to Charlie, Andy and Andres and the main general manager (whose name escapes me, apologies!). Proximity to Cradle Mountain is wonderful. Bathrooms are lovely. Heaters in the room worked perfectly against the Tasmanian cold, we were toasty warm! Make sure to spend some time in the hotels art gallery, it's a hidden gem.
Breakfast could be better, healthier options available. TV in our room wasn't able to have screen mirroring, which was a bit annoying.

Everything. The location. The room and amenities. The vista from the room. The pristine, clean air. The quietness of the surroundings. The ambience. The Wilderness Centre gallery. The food was great - breakfast and dinners. The chef must be good as the dinners were all delicious and presented beautifully. And all staff were very helpful and congenial, particularly the wait staff who showed good humour and knowledgeable about all options. Reception staff also very helpful and friendly. Let’s not forget the room attendants who work hard to present a comfortable and clean room to enjoy after a day or days of long, beautiful walks. Thanks everyone at Cradle Mountain Hotel.
Nothing. It was all perfect.

Loved the loft style rooms where the windows faced the nature. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. It was a very relaxing stay overall. Location was great and loved the resting lounges.
The food could be better. Dinner tasted very average for its price. The deer meat cream pasta was super average. The breakfast buffet could also be improved i.e taste and the hash browns had hardly any potato in them. It was just all fried parts without much of the soft inside. Food was probably the major disappointment. However, there are other places nearby you can go to as an alternative.

Location close to parks Tasmania information centre. Facilities accomodation were great. I would rate the prices as mid range because of the location and facilities, which were very good. Value can be added if you a member of The NRMA for Australian travellers as you also get a discount. The breakfast was extensive, dinning in the evening at the restaurant which has a very good menu and the food is great, would recommend any Tasmanian wines. We found all the staff excellent in their attitude and helpfulness. The Hotel also helps with booking other activities and attractions.

I booked one night at the Cradle Mountain Hotel prior to embarking on the Overland Track 6-day hike. The hotel reception staff were professional, friendly and obliging, and quickly sorted out a problem which was generated during the booking process. The "split-level King Room" was spacious and very clean, looking out over a tranquil bush scene. It had a door opening out to a small balcony, which could be left open for fresh air. Best of all was the cozy and comfortable bed, giving me the best nights' sleep before the start of the hike.
I missed out on booking for dinner at the in-house restaurant, Altitude Restaurant. The other option was Altitude Lounge Bar (casual dining). The limited number of tables were all taken, and I resorted to dining at a coffee table which was not very convenient.

The free laundry and dryer! They used to charge coins but the hotel decided to make the laundry facility complimentary. They also provided free laundry powder. We have been travelling and driving around Tasmania and to be able to have fresh clothes Was just bliss to us. The check in and check out process was a breeze. Friendly staff. Reception, restaurant, bar staff - all approachable, helpful, welcoming. After hours on the road arriving at the hotel felt like luxury for us. It is an easy 5 minute drive to the Visitor Information Centre for Cradle Mountain. The hotel has a gallery as well for art exhibit. And yes, the food in the restaurant is pricey but that is what you pay in the mountains. There are other places to eat in the area - you just have to drive to get there. The room's heating was adequate despite the ice and snow. There is TV in the room. Soap, shampoo also provided. Facilities are clean. No issues. Enjoyed our 2 night stay.

The property is very clean and comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and have the items required for a comfortable stay. The staff are very helpful, friendly and check in / out is made very easy. The surrounding National Park is an amazing location and the facility is close to the park information centre.
This is in no way a reflection on the staff, facilities or hotel but to the very small minority of guests. If you cant talk softly, close a door quietly, walk without sounding like a herd of elephants or keep your children quiet, then can I make a suggestion: STAY HOME.
