The ambience was fantastic and the accomodation was comfortable. The resident pademelons was a bonus

We ran out of toilet paper and there wasn't a backup. There were no paper towels and only one wetex type cloth so the kitchen clean up was hampered. We had only 3 dishwasher tabs and needed 4x dishwasher loads. There were no kitchen tongs. Luckily we had 2 units and could share resources. The note advised us to be water wise as we were using tank/bore water. As it was available we used the hot tub one night. To even half fill it we required an amazing amount of water. This seemed inconsistent with the advice given

Cute spacious cabin. Great location - so close to cradle mountain. Beautiful setting - lovely gardens with lots of rabbits and kookaburras. Bed was super comfy and being able to soak in the bath after a long day of hiking was awesome

Neighbouring cabin’s deck setting was overlooking our deck setting so there was no privacy for either side. This was ok with me as my neighbours were lovely and we had a great chat but it might be good if the higher cabin (Cradle I think it was called) could have their table and chairs moved over a bit to give the Hartz cabin a bit more privacy

We stayed in the Hartz Cottage. A lovely view of the tree line and able to see down into the hills below. Quiet and peaceful. The host had clear communication and gave sufficient warning of shopping situation which helped us plan our approach to the venue effectively. Will stay again if in area

There was a lip in the floor between the kitchen and lounge which was a slight tripping hazard initially. If travelling in Winter make sure you don't forget slippers as the bathroom floor is freezing cold :)

We loved having the outside deck table and chairs, the comfy bed, good kitchen appliances, and the bonus free laundry washing machine and dryer were great for us travelling for approx 3 weeks and living out of our suitcases. Quiet destination! Nice and clean.

The lighting in the kitchen was badly placed and poor. Hard to see when cooking. They would have done better with different flooring in the kitchen and bathroom....not too bad for us in February but can imagine hard to handle when really cold weather.

This cottage was extremely well appointed and extremely clean. It had a huge spa bath, which was appreciated after a long days hiking. This is an ideal location to visit the Cradle Mountain area (approx. 25 km) without the huge price tag being asked by accommodation closer to Cradle Mountain. The cottage is set up for self-catering with a large fridge. There is information in the cottage about where to do go, should you wish to dine out.

Our cottage had some stairs to walk up to the bedroom area. Beware, if you are not steady on your feet. There is a railing, but it is to the far side of the wall (not in the middle of the stairs) and the stairs run the whole length of the bedroom area. There are a few more stairs into the bathroom area.

Great location. Room was much larger than expected and had everything we needed. The laundry was very handy! The welcome book was helpful for finding things within walking distance to do. Loved the view and waking up to see pademelons and rabbits each morning. :)

We thought there would be a fireplace for some reason so were bummed to see there wasn't. It was not necessary, though. Plus, the heater was HOT! :)

We arrived just after sundown. There was no one in reception, understandably, the envelope that was left at reception was hard to see. We walked around the property some and talked to some other renters, and they walked up with us, and we finally found the envelope. It would be nice to have received a note to the effect that we should look for the envelope. it’s so quiet and peaceful there which is what we loved about the place. It was a little scary when we couldn’t figure out where we were supposed to stay! Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cradle Alpine. The facilities and amenities were fantastic, after campervanning for a week having access to a laundry room was a god send. We loved the space bath, such a luxury. And the kitchen was well stocked with utensils we needed to cook dinner. Oh, and seeing the wildlife wandering around the cabin was really nice and relaxing to watch. We will be coming back again, definitely for more than a night.

The kitchen was very comprehensively fitted out, with all possible needs considered. There were detailed instructions for operating devices, such as the TV. A guest laundry was an appreciated addition. An opportunity to see some of the local wildlife at close quarters was a bonus.

I think it should be made clear how far away venues to buy groceries are. There is a beautifully appointed kitchen but we were unable to make use of it as hadn't purchased supplies.

It's a very spacious cabin, in a beautiful bushland/rainforest setting. With a very modern bathroom, well appointed kitchen (although no oven), good tv set-up, and lovely grounds. There is also a laundry with washing machine and dryer on the property. The resident Pademelons were also out and about in the evening. The cabin is exactly as shown in the photos on Booking.com and we would stay again, for sure!
