Lovely place to stay, housekeeping hadn't had a chance to make up the sofa bed before we'd succeed as requested but the caretaker Jamie knocked on the door shortly after our arrival with fresh sheets and apologies without us having to say anything. We weren't bothered at all by this and more than happy to make it up ourselves. Plus this gave us a chance to meet the staff. Cute little fairy garden out the front of our cottage brought a smile to our faces as well as the little light pollution giving us a fantastic view of the night sky. Self check in made it easy for us to arrive after a long days drive and adventures at cradle mountain

We loved our stay and were so happy that we chose this quaint, private lodging option as it was surrounded by lovely forest and so much more affordable than the basic cabins at more posh resorts. It was less than 1/2 hour drive to Cradle Mountain hiking area but watch for animals at dusk - they are everywhere :) We stayed in the Quoll cabin and loved having two tables/chair set ups outside the main door and large window. Each day we were greeted by pademelons and a chorus of song birds. The cabin was well stocked, bedding super comfortable and the whirlpool bath / hottub was amazing after completing a long hike. The heating system was super efficient. The kitchen (equipped with a microwave and small fridge) was outfitted with everything we needed for simple meals. Check in process was super easy and there are a couple of new cafes on the corner offering amazing coffee at Blue Tree Gallery which also features a lovely array of local artisan products. The staff at nearby Cradle Gateway Cafe were super friendly but the breakfast sandwich and coffee was quite basic - they do offer dinner for pickup which is a nice option.
No concerns or complaints.

A 30 min drive from cradle mountain, a 30 min drive from Sheffield, great location as a base for exploring he region. Host gave is the heads up that there were limited local options for food however the cafe across the road had great coffee, snacks, and dinners which could be eaten in the cafe or back in our cabin. Spa bath was awesome after a long day of hiking!
A small stove top burner or an electric frypan would have been convenient - we stayed for six nights and a microwave was limiting. offset by lovely location!

Super location in the wilderness, lovely lodges, very spacious and close to Cradle Mountain National Park. Saw lots of wildlife.
A few things would have made our stay 10/10. First of all I had to clean the fridge, microwave and kitchen, it was all quite dirty. We loved sitting on the balcony but we had no privacy as our neighbours kept walking back and forth across the balcony and not using the pathway. The outdoor space needs some care and attention, the paths were messy and the picnic tables dirty. May I suggest you fence off the balconies forcing guests to use the pathways to their accommodation.

The location for Cradle Forest Inn is perfect if you are wanting to explore the Northen end of Tassie - with Cradle Mountain a short 25min drive and Devonport a 50min drive. The local scenery is abundant and beautiful and you are warmly welcomed by the Inn managers. It immediately gives you a home-like feeling as you step in, making it super hard to leave when your stay is up. You will highly likely wake up to Pademelon's below your deck in the morning which is refreshing to see, and possibly a Wombat or two roaming around at dawn. The local coffee shop and art gallery (Blue Tree Gallery) is a short, 2min walk from the Inn and has the best coffee in Moina. Aimee Rowland - the local artist there is extremely talented and well worth the visit, she is absolutely lovely to talk to. A great bonus as well if you see it to be - there is limited to no reception. However, the absence of the usual *pings* from our phones only enhanced the experience of our stay. If you are however needing reception, the local larger town of Sheffield is a 30min drive from the Inn and offers 4G for Optus, 3G for Vodafone. We only wished we could have stayed longer :)

Lovely quiet location, comfortable cabins, easy access to local Mole Caves, Cradle Mountain and nearby local towns and attractions. A great stop off before heading to the coast of Burnie and Launceston.
Thought it was on Cradle Mountain and got caught up in the mayhem of the tourist park entry park procedures. Once sorted headed further north to our location and found our cabins. A little out of the way but a nearby cafe saved the day with morning coffee/ breakfast and dinner if pre ordered. Also provide wallaby food if you'd like to feed the elusive wildlife.

We took our own breakfast as we were told there was only a microwave available. We were also advised that as there was no restaurant onsite and to ensure we bring food that is suitable for microwaving or make a dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant at Cradle Mountain or Sheffield or have dinner on route. However there is a Cafe on the corner to the entrance of Cradle Forest Inn which provides breakfast, coffee, drinks etc. and has a dinner menu which you can order from, in advance of your stay.
We would have liked to have been advised of the Cafe nearby the entrance of Cradle Forest Inn.

Directions were NOT detailed enough. Your email on how to access the property we ignored thinking it would be from booking.com confirming price. Consequently we had to ring your booking agent to obtain this information. Perhaps we could have been forewarned that the information regarding access would be emailed to us a ‘few’ days before arrival.
Because, we didn’t read the email sent out we also arrived without food and then had to drive 1 hour each way ( along a very winding road) to buy food.( closest town being Sheffield ). After a short visit to Cradle Mountain & having driven all the way that day from Stanley this was NOT a good start!!! A shame because we liked the look & feel of this accommodation…. Very Much.

The cabin was located in a centralised location allowing us to travel and explore in any direction. The guide provided by the accommodation was detailed and provided us some great ideas on what to do with our stay. The room was warm on arrival and we were greeted by some local Pademelons and cheeky Kurrawongs. The spa was lovely to enjoy after hiking at Cradle Mountain. The lack of reception (not with Telstra) and allowed us to digital detox which we saw as a plus.
The bed was a lot firmer than we were used to. This is likely down to a personal preference but it is worth noting that the bed is firm for other potential guests. At times the water pressure was low, I suspect this is from 'competing' cabins.

Beautiful surrounds - cozy and comfortable. Had everything I needed (except Wifi). Great value for money. Warm and clean. Close Parking. Caretaker (Will) also came to visit just to check everything was OK. Only about 20 mins to Cradle Mountain.
Had a massive storm and the power (and water) were out for 8 hours - although not the venues fault, put a bit of a damper on enjoying the whole experience. Tried to Hotspot to phone but service is not great and didn't work well. I didn't mind, but if you need internet you might struggle (storm may not have helped).
