The location was superb! It was virtually right across the road from the visitor centre and a very easy walk. The natural bush of the grounds were lovely to walk through to the laundry and reception. The cabin itself was lovely and clean and had exactly what we needed for our 2 night stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful too. It was a quiet area and exceptional value! Cradle Mountain itself was an amazing experience with lots of different walks to suit all types of walkers and ages. The shuttle bus which you need to take to get up to most of the walks is awesome value as for $15 per person this covers your rides for 3 days. We highly recommend staying in Discovery Parks and Cradle Mountain! Thank you!

The bathroom was in the second bedroom which was not very convenient for 2 couples staying (so it was lucky we were family!)

This cabin was well set up to meet our needs. the bathroom was of a decent size and functional. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was equipped with an air conditioner as well as a heater for the really cold weather. You felt like you were the only one there with all the trees and bushes around each cabin. I was hoping to see some wildlife wondering through, but I didn't while I was there. The kitchen was ample for us.

I couldn't see 6 people staying in this cabin easily even though there were beds for six, one double bed and four bunk beds. I think it would be very crowded and not enough room for all the luggage.

Obviously a great location (just a few minutes from main National Park visitors centre) but actual park around the cabins looks a bit industrial - still needs some vegetation buffers to grow back. Cabins lager than I expected and generally well equipped. It got to below zero overnight during our stay and cabins must be incredibly well insulated because they stayed quite warm - and the fireplace was awesome. Water pressure in shower was much better than I expected - just be prepared for tannin-stained water. Park shop quite well stocked with food/alcohol/munchies but be aware that if closes early (by NSW standards). Smart TV and Wif Fi worked well. We used laundry facilities and they were all OK.

Bed was bit soft for my liking and the sofa was pretty uncomfortable to sit on - needed bedroom pillows to make it bearable. I hated that the toilet fan came on with the light. So if you went to the toilet at night you either freeze or sit in the dark. Would have liked a bit more in kitchen utensils as we chose to cook ourselves each night. National Park staff were much more helpful and happy than the Camping Ground staff.

Staff were great and approachable. Larger bathroom area was very comfortable and exceeded my expectations with those overhead heaters! Easy to navigate around with the street signs inside the park/camp grounds. Parking spots handy right outside the backpackers cabins. I didn't expect to receive the shampoo/soap/etc. on my bed upon arrival which was nice too.

It might be worth putting a sign up in the communal kitchens (as you have already done when asking people to turn off lights when not in use, etc.) just reminding people to clean up their own dishes after themselves. For a few days in a row there were communal utensils/plates etc. piling up dirty. Not a huge deal, but just might be worth pointing it out for future guests.

Our stay at Cradle Mountain was absolutely wonderful. The room was exceptionally comfortable, and the facilities were very well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a full set of utensils and a proper stove, allowing us to cook our own meals. Ingredients could be conveniently purchased from the reception area, along with a selection of wines to enjoy in the evening. The fireplace kept the room warm and cozy, and the bathroom even had underfloor heating — a very thoughtful touch. Each cabin was completely private and standalone, offering full privacy. It is truly the most comfortable accommodation I have ever experienced.

- close to Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre and Devils at Cradle - very modern cabin, comfortable and warm - kitchen in the cabin was excellent - bathroom was really nice - small outside balcony was great- not as much wildlife as I had hoped but saw 4 pademelons outside the cabin on both nights of my stay - the shop where you check in was well stocked We booked two cabins (2 and 9). The outlook on cabin #2 was far nicer than cabin #9. Cabin #2 overlooked trees, bushes etc and had more privacy but cabin #9 overlooked more of the other cabins and wasn’t as private. I think it will improve over time as more of the trees etc grow back in.

Excellent location, less than 10 minutes' walk from the visitor centre / first shuttle stop. Clean shared bathrooms. Good kitchen facilities with fireplace. I stayed in a 4-bed room, which was quite intimate as the room itself was small, but there was a heater that allowed us to keep warm during the night. During office hours, you can access the shop next to reception with water, snacks, meals etc, which is definitely useful as there are no supermarkets nearby.

Not necessarily a negative, but just worth noting. I didn't use the laundry facilities as the machines are coin operated, and due to location of the accommodation, staff were unable to accommodate cash out. You will need to source coins elsewhere, or have them ready before checking in.

Everything about our accommodation at Cradle Mountain was fabulous. We were delightfully greeted on arrival by a wallaby. The park was well laid out providing safety for pedestrians and vehicles. The short walk to the neighbouring Peppers Restaurant which served delicious food was very handy. Due to limited fitness levels, we needed to drive to the shuttle bus however you could easily walk. Loved the peaceful bushland setting achieving total privacy for each cabin. Everything you needed for a short stay was at your fingertips, although if you did find yourself short of anything, it could be purchased from the onsite shop. Would definitely recommend.

I would have loved to see the wallaby again however, he fulfilled his job of extending us a warm welcome before a couple of minutes later hopping back into the bush.

Very luxurious cabin, new, modern, clean, spacious, fabulous kitchen and bathroom. Very quiet. The bath (with bath salts provided) was very relaxing. Cheese, chocolate and bubbles also provided. An outside deck at back of cabin. Great location close to the visitor centre where you catch the buses into the park, also close to Devils at Cradle, which is worth a visit. Small shop on site where basics and food can be purchased. Coffee at the visitor centre. Glad we stayed here and not Peppers, which looks very tired (popped in there for a meal after walking in the park).

We had a fantastic stay! We booked a cabin and the only one left was a family sized one - which was just as well so we had plenty of room to spread out gear out inside the cabin! Location: just outside the Cradle Mountain NP visitor centre (so you can leave your car outside your cabin then walk to the visitor centre to get the shuttle inside the park - less than 10 minute walk away). Reception: very friendly, we arrived a few hours early and our room was ready so we were thankful we had somewhere to change into our hiking gear! There is a fantastic grocery store at reception - we had already purchased perishable items from Devonport before driving in, but if you wanted last minute items or hadn't thought about meals, this was great! Frozen meals, meats, bread, small amount of fresh produce, tinned and boxed products for cooking, ice-creams, ice, souvenirs etc! Cabin: we had a family cabin that had a double bed and 2 lots of bunk beds - everything we wanted was inside the cabin! Fly screen door to the porch so you can leave smelly or wet/muddy items outside to dry without bringing inside the cabin. Heating and A/C, even electric blankets for the beds! The kitchenette had a microwave and cooktop with plenty of cooking utensils, tableware, huge fridge for storing items, kettle and large toaster. We cooked our own meals in the cabin. Sofa bed and dining table in the main area. Storage cupboard in the main room and small cabinet above the bathroom vanity. Shower had great hot water and water stream. No wifi in the cabin (but available at reception) but good 4G. All in all, a wonderful stay and we loved our little cabin. Can't beat the location and facilities.

Nothing - it was perfect!
