It is my northern home. I find this accommodation almost flawless, and I keep coming back. It is clean, comfortable, spacious, has room for all my luggage, does NOT have ridiculously dim ceiling lighting, has a microwave and a set of just enough cutlery and crockery so that you can have both dinner and breakfast in your room if you wish, but the restaurant on the ground floor provides both if you don't! The staff are as accommodating as you could possibly want them to be. It is incredibly good value for money, and smack bang in the middle of Ulverstone.

Would be the only room where this applies, because I must have stayed in them all by now (!), but this particular room was near some kind of machine that made a low frequency noise systematically so was a bit of a problem overnight.

Excellent location with plenty of parking onsite.

I was room 27 and there was a couple times late evening 8-9pm of some loud machinery or mechanical noise that disturbed me. The electric blanket didn’t work and the aircon took hours to warm the room and I had it on max. I was quite cold 8-11pm until it finally warmed up a bit. I needed more blankets on the bed turned I would have come down to ask but was already in my pyjamas and ready for bed. So not a complaint as such as I could have done something too. The staff on reception and the restaurant were lovely, engaging and friendly and the food was excellent although the garlic prawns could have been a little hotter

The room was spacious and clean and very central location. Staff were friendly when available. I didn’t use it but seems to have a good menu for in house restaurant

I think this place is really good. But my room number 27 had a really loud motor sound that I think came from the spa room next door, some kind of motor . This was going when I returned to my room at 830 and carried on for several hours and then restarted around 630 am. It really apply my sleep and was very irritating . When I went down to report it there is no staff at night (Sunday and they leave at 6). There is a number to call but it says don’t call otherwise you may be charged $55 call out . So really you shouldn’t put anyone in room 27 or should fix the motor, and should also have a contact number that doesn’t discourage people from calling it if it’s not an emergency.

The Lighthouse was in a central location in Ulverstone. We could walk to cafes and restaurants or to buy groceries and supplies. The rooms were comfortable with good facilities and although the weather was very cold at the time, we could make the room cosy with aircon and temp control. Rooms were clean and there was plenty of parking just behind the hotel. Meals were of a generous size and staff were friendly, polite and willing to help with questions.

I love everything about this hotel the rooms are wonderfully decorated and you have everything you need. The staff are lovely. This is my second time staying here on my trips from Victoria. My partner stayed this time and he loved this hotel too. Jennifer, the bar attendant is such a lovely person and makes you feel so welcome.i will definitely stay here again.

I liked the whole deal. Beautifully done up and I believe more is to come. Look forward to seeing this too.

The staff were very friendly! The location was close to the main strip of shops and it was ideal for a couple days stay. The TV in the room was smart and overall functioned quite well. The spa, sauna and gym were in overall good condition and I was happy with my experience.

Unfortunately it gets a bit loud in the rooms having the hotel restaurant just downstairs from the rooms. This and the walls were quite thin meaning we could hear the people next door. The TV also would cut out a bit when you first started a movie. Then it went back to normal.

Bed, room, decor, staff, they made the place , dinner exceptional , great space between tables, menu easy to understand and great selections of wines , beers and drinks for any children . Also they had a great play area for children where parents could watch them while they ate.

Nothing , I couldn’t find anything to complain about , thought I might not like the stairs , but to my surprise they were built with the exact spacing and rail to negotiate without any hassle at all and gave a great lookout on to the restaurant .

The Spa was the high - light discovery & friendly staff especially the room attendants So helpful go out of their way to check your comfort - provide support only have to ask- provide with what you need ,extra towels etc simply wonderful bunch .! The beds are so cosy & clean -warm, comfortable especially now it's getting even cooler! absolutely superb! Lovely family atmosphere,& tasteful decor in main central area, & lounge area for sitting relaxing drinking coffee & chatting outside, the rooms & tables for activities, use the space to write ,do puzzles multiple uses... Wonderful home away from home ...

View wasn't the best, maybe the stairs but ...good exercise !

I keep staying here when I travel to the NW of Tas because it's simply brilliant. Fantastic bathrooms, lots of room for your bags etc, comfy beds, heating great, enough kitchen equip so you can look after yourself foodwise, perfect location smack bang in the centre of town, friendly and helpful staff, off-street parking, and excellent price by comparison to other accommodation places in and around Ulverstone.

Absolutely nothing!! Seriously!

We stayed in a number of Pub accommodation throughout our trip and the Lighthouse stood out heads and shoulders above them all. The moment you walk in to the hotel the ambience is peaceful, clean and welcoming. The room was beautiful, spacious and pristine. For once a room that actually looked like the pictures. There is a restaurant on site and the meals did not disappoint either. This is one accommodation that will leave you wishing you had stayed longer. We will be back.
