The king suite room on the 1st floor was so nice! Clean and had plenty of space, a large king bed, and a beautiful view of the Mersey River! There was little to no road noise, and I didn't even hear anyone else outside of our room. Watched the spirit of tasmania 2 coming into the river after dark, which was nice to watch. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at this hotel restaurant. Easy to find onsite parking, plus if that isn't available, there's also an overflow carpark behind the motel. Highly recommend accommodation!

The hotel could do with an elevator to the 1st floor, with a small family having to lug luggage up the stairs. It's a bit of a hassle. And no breakfast is served at this hotel, only lunch and dinner, I think this is a bit of a loss for the hotel and the customers. Other than these two things, I can't complain.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating from the moment I arrived. I arrived prior to 11am and had no expectation of being able to check in (just expected to drop my bag for a couple of hours), and the staff offered an early check-in as well as a room upgrade, both free of charge! This was a very pleasant surprise and I thank the staff for their graciousness. The room itself was faultlessly clean, comfortable, and excellent value for money. There were some food preparation facilities which was wonderful, as well as being a very tidy and modern room. The view of the water was gorgeous and I enjoyed being able to watch the Spirit of Tasmania set sail one evening. The location was also perfect. It was an easy walk from the bus stop and lots of shops within a 15 minute walk. I highly rate this accommodation and enjoyed my stay very much. It exceeded my expectations.

I stayed on a Saturday night and the downstairs area (the pub) can get somewhat loud and rowdy.

The new rooms upstairs are clean and fresh, comfy and well-kitted out. The view of the river and the shipping was fantastic. Dinner at the Bistro was great too. We particularly found the staff very friendly, from reception to the Bistro to the cleaners. Liked it all so much we stayed an extra night.

The only disappointing thing was that the upstairs balcony was locked at night - I understand it's a security thing, but would have been good if we'd had a key. We loved watching the shipping, but I tried to go out at night and again the next morning for a better look and couldn't - seemed a shame with such a great facility.

Great location. Room clean & comfortable. Great to have a toaster & microwave so we could make our own breakfast. Staff were lovely. The shower body wash dispenser was empty so on contacting reception the cleaners were there promptly to replace that & as a bonus gave us a complete set of clean towels. The receptionist was lovely, and even rang us to confirm there would be free finger food in the bar that evening. The staff were very friendly & helpful.

Not really anything. One suggestion for the property is they could possibly install some towel hooks on the bathroom door.

Arrived on a Friday night on the Spirit of Tassie. Check-in was via the only staff member in the bar. Meals at the pub were finished. Staff kindly offered suggestions as to where to get a quick meal down the street. Due to big queues at Maccas, came back around 10pm only to find the pub locked and in darkness! Our room was inside and upstairs!! Fortunately, we found a stairwell at the back of the building. We were relieved when our room key gave us access to the back door. Would have been nice to have been forewarned.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Elimatta Hotel. The rooms were clean, nicely presented, and the bed was very comfortable. While our room didn’t have a view, there was a lovely outlook from the upstairs common area that made a nice spot to pause and take in the scenery. A great base for exploring Devonport.

There wasn’t much to fault. The only minor issue was that the hotel was quite busy the night we stayed, so the on-site parking was full. That said, we were able to find street parking nearby without too much trouble, so it wasn’t a major inconvenience.

The river was right across the road. Great for sunrise photos and boat spotting. The bed was comfy. The room was clean. They have a very nifty toilet setup that has both sizes (adults AND kids) of toilet seat without interfering with each other's functionality.

That there was no food available after 8pm. Not even hot chips!! If the ferry is late to unload, then you are fresh out of luck. Also, there is very limited parking available where the rooms are. I'm not leaving my car filled with camping gear and tools out on the street!

The staff are lovely especially the cleaner is they do a very good job and very eager to help me if I had any issues

The only thing I didn't like about the rooms is there's too much light coming through the window finishings at night time they need some block out curtains or something on the rooms especially the one on the inner corner of the facility which is no curtains and the light comes in all night I like to sleep in a dark environment it was very difficult for me to sleep

We were very pleased with our room, it was quite spacious, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good. The bonus was that we had a very short walk to the hotel's dining room, where we enjoyed a very nice meal provided by very friendly staff. The hotel overlooks the Mersey River and is quite close to the Spirit of Tasmania Terminal.

Parking is an issue, it was very limited, then there was no option but to park in the street or in the overflow park. We had concerns, but it turned out OK.

The night porter was on hand to facilitate my very late arrival following a major delay with the ferry. It was a 4 degree night but the room was lovely and warm to arrive into , in the early hours of the morning I

I am in my 80th year and initially I had to park on the street and carry my luggage to room 29 in the far corner of the premises. Eventually I was able to park in a tight spot on the grounds close to my allocated room..
