Food was great, Staff was excellent, courteous and very eager to help and serve. Bathroom and rooms were clean and comfortable..Scenic spot with fresh air and good vibes. No city noises and pollution. Calm and serene. Best for lazy long vacations in Nainital..

Location is bit off from Mall road and Nainital lake. It is bit high on the hills. Going to and back from Mall Road not viable by walking. Need a car for that. Other bigger properties have own car to help tourists with this problem but since Hive Cottage is having limited rooms, cant afford that commercially. For families looking to stay in property and enjoy the air etc and maybe go to other nearby spots in cab daily, this is not much of an issue.

The location is excellent, with the heritage house being well-maintained. However, only basic amenities are provided and breakfast was tasty though. The property is about 2.5 km from the mall road, which is walkable. While a direct cab might charge between 400-600, I recommend walking to fully enjoy the scenic journey. Shared E-vehicle is also available at nainital main road. Google Maps provides accurate directions, and the locals in Nainital (All Pahadi folks) are very kind and helpful.

The cost for the rooms is quite high considering what is offered. The breakfast includes only basic options with limited variety. The price per night is higher than other chain hotels. If one values the heritage aspect and location, it might be considered worthwhile.

The property is located in quite surroundings, away from the hustle & noise of the main town. But it is 5 minutes drive from the mall road. Homely food, which was awesome. Very courteous staff. Will definitely visit again.

I loved the ambience of this former post office converted into a hotel. The look was very cozy and the food was good.

It is on the north south de of the hills above Nainital so it's really cold in winter, but in summer I am sure that's a blessing. Also there was a rat in our room.

Location as you would need to take a taxi up at night to reach the property and the path is dark. Would be appreciated if the hotel has its own shuttle service like other hotels from Mall road.

The Hive Cottage is a little corner of your very own piece of nature amidst the hustle of Nainital. The picturesque location, excellent customer service and delicious food make it a great place to spend a quiet few days. The property is a heritage property and much care has been given so it retains its originality and vintage flavour. I highly recommend the place and would love to visit again.

Beautiful property very close to Naini lake. Great service and helpful staff. Rooms were neat and clean. Highly recommended. Food was delicious as well. They cook fresh food for each order and it's so good.
