Cozy Family Operated Retreat directly at Ionic Sea where you have an ideal access for a swim from private beach where also sunbeds are. The location lies ideally off track to relax and is quiet during the night although you have all travernas and bars along the road just around the corner. Upon request the very helpful family made it possible to get a room we wanted. The view was stunning. And also was the breakfast that was always freshly prepared and served directly on the terrace with panorama view onto the Sea. For anybody who seeks best relaxation and is fond of swimming in a nice atmosphere with all amenities close by: this is the place!! Thanks again to the family with their team for their hospitality served in a very friendly and helpful manner. My mate and I, we have had a really good vacation time at your place!!!

The location, the setup, the cleanliness. Very well maintained swimming pool, with snack bar. Regular cleaning of rooms. The setup of location, at seashore, with enough sunbeds for all guests and showers, but in the same time close to restaurants and shops, without being in a noisy area. Ideal for a long stay with kids. Very friendly staff. Loved every minute spent there.

The quality of the internet. If you need it, be prepared to have lots of hiccups. For us it was not a problem, we had mobile data valid for europe, but if you need it to connect now and then for work....not the best. Also in the balconies I would recommend to add something for people to be able to hang towels/swimming suits to dry.

The hotel was great, right beside the sea. Very quiet and calming place. Sunbeds at the beach. Room is very spacious and all basics in the kitchen. Good location in the small but cozy town off Argassi. Good value for money!

Every morning, the two ladies that are opening the snackbar at the pool were continuously chatting loudly with each other. It disrupted the peaceful mornings at sea. Thin walls, you can hear the light switching on off from the neighbour's. The shower was a bit small. The placing of the twin beds/lightswitch/bed lights were stranged. Can't sit up in bed cause of the lights and can't reach the switch cause of the beds. Air conditioning was not that strong. Luckily we we went in May so it wasn't too hot.

Fantastic location, everything within a short walk, sea, shops, tavernas We had a super sea view, quiet, parking available Super clean, really impressed with that, friendly staff Sunbeds always available and that’s in peak season, so relaxing not having to do towels at dawn although some folks not staying at the hotel were doing this daily

No lift, an issue with heavy suitcases Old style pool although clean it lacked easy access steps into it Kitchen (very clean) was small, old and tired, the cupboard in the way of your head to use the sink

The location was amazing close to lovely family tavernas and short walk to town centre. Excellent beach front hotel and amazing sea views from our room. Very nice pool area and drinks /snack bar. Plentiful sun loungers. On our last day we our flight was early evening and the hotel owners very kindly gave an extended check out at no cost.

We absolutely loved our stay at Marie Mare and would highly recommend it. If we had to offer any criticism it would be that the room we stayed needed upgrading and refurbished throughout. This might be reflected in an increase in cost but we would be happy to pay more as we loved this hotel on every other way.

The hotel’s location was spot-on, tucked away at the quiet end of Argassi but still close enough to wander over to great restaurants, bars, and a handy supermarket. It’s a fantastic spot for families, with a big pool and just a few steps down to the sea, where the gently sloping beach made it perfect for kids to play safely. With only 25 rooms, the hotel had this really peaceful vibe—no crowds, just a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The bar and restaurant were lovely, offering a great selection of food and drinks, and plenty of shade to keep cool while enjoying a meal or drink. The best part, though, was the staff. The family who runs the place were super friendly, always happy, and really attentive. They made the whole stay feel warm and welcoming.

Slightly small showers and kitchen area if I was being picky but this didn’t detract from the overall experience.

The location of this property was perfect - it’s on the seafront, close to the town/ shops/ restaurants but still a peaceful and quiet place. The pool area was a massive highlight and the pool bar serves lovely food and drinks all day. There were always plenty of sun beds and the sea was also perfect for swimming - we really enjoyed borrowing the inflatable’s and floating along the shore. The rooms are basic but very clean and have everything you need. The balcony was a highlight and perfect for sea views and sunny breakfasts! We loved the Green Frog supermarket opposite the hotel and their restaurant next door has a beautiful garden and stunning Greek food. Well worth a visit!

The hotel location is excellent, just far enough from the main town to be quiet at night. There's a supermarket and lively bar playing live music most nights just over the road. We had a ground floor Deluxe Double room right on the sea front which also had pool views to the side, perfect. Plenty of sunbeds arranged in pairs around a parasol and table, by the shore, around the pool, and dotted about the grass. Pleasant bar/restaurant on-site offering tasty food and cold beer. The hardest decision: shall I go for a swim in the sea or the pool?

A cafetiere would be a welcome addition, otherwise all was good.

The location was perfect at the quiet end of Argassi, the grounds and the pool were beautiful and well maintained, the sea view and direct access to the beach were brilliant. Room very spacious, air con very effective, plenty of storage including safety deposit box, super comfortable bed with daily maid service to make the bed and empty the kitchen and bathroom bins. Towels also changed regularly. Pool towels also provided. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Great pool cafe bar, excellent food. Supermarket right opposite. Restaurants and bars very close but not intrusive.

Shower very small, but this didn’t affect our stay in anyway.

Dimitra, at reception, who I interacted with most, was exceptionally hospitable, friendly and helpful. She gave me lots of good advice for places to visit and how to get the most out of my time in Zakynthos. The location was excellent and the room was simple but comfortable with a beautiful view of the sea. The pool was beautiful and the area around it a lovely place to relax which included a snack-bar and all literally right next to the sea. For the money I paid, this place was exceptionally good value for a budget Apart-Hotel. Dimitra's two cats added to the charm of the place and I loved playing and hanging out with them at reception and on the sun loungers :)
